B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering - Batch of 2024

Hindustan College is not.
Placements: There are 2-3 students in the chemical engineering branch, and classes do not run regularly. Overall, if you want to study at Hindustan College of Science and Technology, Farah Mathura University is not a good choice. Don't pay the total fees at the same time; pay in installments.
Infrastructure: The hostel facility has very poor behavior, and the food quality is also not good. If you want to leave the hostel, you have to pay six months' hostel fees, and then they allow you to leave. Overall, if you are interested in studying at Hindustan College of Science and Technology, this university is not a good choice.
Faculty: Teachers guide you, but the technology that is necessary to complete the B.Tech course is not available, and if it is available, it is not working properly. However, the college conducts exams properly after 1-2 months. Attendance is also compulsory; if your attendance is below 75%, then you are not eligible for the exams.
Other: I chose B.Tech from this college because there are very few private colleges that run a chemical engineering course. So if you are looking for B.Tech in chemical engineering, this college is not a good option.

Best college near the Agra/Mathura region.
Placements: Majority of the students got placed in IT organizations; there are very few core companies that visit HCST college. Overall, the college takes ownership of the selection of their students, and around 75% of students get jobs through campus selection only. I also got placed in TCS.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are good. Library facilities are awesome; students can avail themselves of this facility to learn as much as possible. Sports events are also organized on a very good scale. Food in the mess and canteen, I would say, is decent. If you are thinking to opt for the hostel, there are other places near campus where you can stay.
Faculty: Teachers are well-educated. The course curriculum is designed by UPTU, so it follows the same. Semester exams are also designed by UPTU, and the passing percentage is 40%. Teachers use practical-based education to teach students. The majority of the teachers in the college either are or do hold good corporate experience.

B.Tech. in Information Technology - Batch of 2025

Our college facilities were on average but the examination.
Placements: During my time at this college, I pursued a B.Tech in Information Technology, which greatly contributed to the improvement of my software development and communication abilities. The college has a placement rate of approximately 30-40% for its students. The highest package offered to our graduates is 24 LPA, while the lowest is 3.4 LPA, with an average of 8-9 LPA.
Infrastructure: Our college boasts superior infrastructure compared to nearby institutions. We offer state-of-the-art facilities, well-equipped labs, and a library with excellent network connectivity. While our college provides all necessary amenities, it is worth noting that the hostel rooms are compact and the food quality may not meet all students' expectations, although hygiene is maintained.
Faculty: The teaching at our college is average, and the teachers are supportive. Although there is a shortage of teachers, they are all very helpful. Some teachers hold PhDs, while others have yet to clear their exams. Our college prepares 80% of students for the industry. Clearing semester exams can be quite challenging.

Hindusan College of Science and Technology- the worst Decision of my life.
Placements: It may be due to the recession, but in our college the placements were trash. They do not have a good reputation amongst companies so the good ones have blacklisted our college. Only the startups came which were offering bare minimum with bond period of 2-3 years. Also, there were some fake companies. There were some companies for which we used to fill the form but the company never conducted it's tests. Also, the placement cell is bad. They didn really care about students. They only scared about the two three students who literally were allowed to appear for every company. There was a policy that if a student is placed, they cannot sit for any other company unless the package is 1.5x times the package they have been placed at, often times, their favourite students were allowed to appear in them but others weren't, even if their pacakge was 2x times lower than the new company. This happened with me. I was placed in a 3.5lpa company with a bond period of 2years. Another company came offering 5lpa and I was denied to appear, I somehow convinced the placement cell faculty, they promised me they'll send my details to the company but they didn't. On the day of the company's test, I didn't recieve the email for the test link, on reaching out to the company, they said they never got my details, I reached out to a teacher, she asked me to talk to some other teacher and they made me run errands like that till the timings for the test were over. This was what big a*roles this colleges "TRAINING AND PLACEMENT" cell is. There were hardly any extracurricular activities, no college fests, and not even studies. Their only concern was feels. If it was paid on time the students were allowed to take classes and appear for the tests which eventually were to be added for our internal marks. So, basically, if for some reason you're not able to pay your feels on time, you're not allowed to appear for the classes and also for the unit tests so you'll get low internals. This was such a bad college for my mental health. I would advice to not attend this college at all. Also, they call themsel "TRAINING AND PLACEM" cell but we were not given any trsining before the placements. Literally no training at all.
Infrastructure: The classes were okay like any engineering colleges. But the washrooms, OH. MY. GOD. THEY WERE SO BAD. THEY were hardly cleaned. I remem my first day of coll and the washeoo were soooo bad. The coll was built in like 1980s and they didn bother to change the fittings. It was the same fittings. No water in the taps, no mirrors. Nothing. It was that bad. I literally got uti using them so I topped using the ocll washro. Imagine holding it from 7am to 6pm. Ya and the labs, dude, the computers belonged to 2005. We hardly attended any labs becau the comput were so old and their teach system was so bad. They were teaching hello world programs to engineering students. And they never taught anythi more than that. Actually they never taught us anything we had to figure it out ourselves.
Faculty: Some of the teachers were amazing. I mean, if there's one thing I'm glad about this college is some of the teachers. Who, before we passed out, left the college for better colleges. So ya, some of the teachers were amazing. Some were nightmares. They usually used to Alwar care aboutour feels being paid otherwir they'd same you. One time there was this teacher, who also held a position in the "Student Welfare" Cell who literally shamed my friend and me, he litera said "why did you come to this coll when you couldn't afford it? Should've went to some lower college thatfits your budget. " I literal didn't attend the college for a month becau I fell into depression. Teachers really did not know how to talk to the students. Some teachers were speech impaired. We never used to under a word they said and all empathies to them but when a student can't comprehend what you're saying, how are we supposed to understand the subject? They really did us dirty. There were literally 25 year old teachers who had no idea what they were supposed to teach. We really did feel bad for thek vecau they used to struggle answering our questions regard the subje they taught.
Other: Our batch had the worst experience. So I'll say, the worst college, never attend.

It is a very good college.
Placements: Almost 80% of students got placed in our college. Many students got off-campus placements. The highest salary package offered is 18 LPA. The average salary package offered ranges between 4 LPA - 6 LPA. Students got internships at Microsoft with a stipend of 1.5 LPA
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is average. All facilities are average. Labs for the computer science branch are good, but labs for other branches are below average. The quality of the food in the mess is below average. Our canteen is average. The hostel facilities are available in our college.
Faculty: Many teachers are good in the first year. They are the best. Second-year teachers are average.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in it. Our college conducts a fest named Gyan Jyoti. It is a techno-cultural fest. It is held every year in our college.
