IIIT Bhagalpur is a perfect destination for higher education.

Placements: I would have given 5 stars, but considering the placement percentage has dropped from 95% to 75% for the last batch, and the median package has also decreased, I gave 4 stars. However, given the current recession, the college performed better than expected. The highest package offered was around 80-85 lakhs.

Infrastructure: Following its inauguration by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in January, our college takes pride in its cutting-edge infrastructure, which includes modern, well-equipped classrooms, hostels designed with food-proof and earthquake-resistant features, a centrally air-conditioned diamond-shaped building housing the library and computer center, comprehensive indoor and outdoor game facilities, and expansive grounds, which occasionally experience flooding from the Ganga River during periods of overflow.

Faculty: If you secure a scholarship, then the institution offers value for money. However, without one, the fees are relatively high. Compared to most IITs, NITs, and private colleges, the student body is smaller, resulting in less competition for job placements. Nevertheless, the competition is still present. On the positive side, the coding culture is exceptional.

College is more than expected.

Placements: I am glad to review about my college. It is a developing college and improving its placement and infrastructure. In 2024, due to recession placements went down to average of 11LPA approximately for CSE but previously, it was average of approximately 15 LPA for CSE. In the year 2024 the highest is 83 LPA. Now if we consider internship, then from college side there is no help we have apply for it by self. Here, top companies are Microsoft, Amazon, Synopsys, Samsung etc.

Infrastructure: In IIITBH upto year 2023 class and hostel was temporary but in 2024 it's permanent. Campus is ready and the hostel is amazing with facility of LAN for internet with accomadation of 3 in a room. Now, about classrooms, it is fully AC Library and labs are fantastic. IIITBH library is the central focus of college. Mess is good, canteen is available, there are different clubs.

Faculty: All teachers are qualified and they are Ph.D. holders. About curriculum, it is really relevant as per present and has a very advanced curriculum. Here we learn two coding languages in the first year only. Here semester exams are not very tough if we prepare ourselves according to faculty notes, then it is enough.

I would not recommned this college to anyone.

Placements: MAE has good placements. The highest salary package in the core branch of MAE was 8 LPA-9 LPA in the year 2023. However, most students get placed in IT companies with the highest salary package offered was 18 LPA. Infosys, SOLIDWORKS, NVIDIA, MEDIA.NET, etc., are the top recruiters. About 80%-90% of students get placed as software engineers.

Infrastructure: Recently, a diamond building was constructed for the library, but it was ruined by being used as a lab. However, the 4th and 5th floors are used as the library, which is very beautiful. Mess is the same as in every college. Facilities are not great, such as no gym or sports facilities, but medical facilities are available. There is no canteen. LAN is available for each B.Ed student. The most important issue is that after the 2nd year, have to stay outside the campus because there is no space to stay in the college. There is only one building for boys, but there are no issues for girls.

Faculty: Faculty members are helpful. Attendance is compulsory in every subject. Have to concentrate on academics as well, because some exams are quite difficult, while others are easier. Exams are relevant and helpful. Semester exams are difficult.

Other: Robotics club is the most active and helps you learn a lot of things. College facilities should be improved. There is no market nearby, so you have to go far to get some things. College does not provide funds for fests. College also does not have a permanent director, which is why these issues are happening. However, it is expected that a director will be hired by January. The number of seats is limited due to the lack of availability. There are 21 seats for OBCs, 3 for SCs, and 4 for EWS in NSP. Scholarships are available for all states, as well as private scholarships.

Good placements with average campus life.

Placements: Last year, due to the recession in the IT market, the average package decreased and also the placement percentage decreased. However, the highest package was 39 LPA in the Autodesk company. The highest number of placements were from the CSE branch. Companies like Autodesk, Fare Portal, ZScalar, GE Digital, Grow, etc. recruited the students mostly for SDE roles.

Infrastructure: Now the campus is ready. All the classrooms are equipped with ACs. The library and laboratory are located in the Signature Building. LAN is available in labs. The campus is built on 50 acres of land. There is a lush green environment covering the whole campus. There are two hostels on the campus itself, one for boys and one for girls. The hostel infrastructure is good. The food quality at the mess is not that good.

Faculty: The faculty members are well qualified. Most of the faculty members have done their PHDs from IITs. They try their best to make the students understand the concepts. The course curriculum is as per current industry requirements. There are two exams in each semester, i.e., midterm and endterm. The semester exams are pretty easy to pass.

College review for IIIT Bhagalpur.

Placements: The placements are one of the main reasons one would choose this college. The average package is around 15 LPA, and every branch offers opportunities for placements. Companies like Amazon, Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro, IBM, Mindtree, Tech Mahindra, and HCL visit the campus, with the highest package reported at 89 LPA as per the latest news from Amazon. For my branch (ECE), the average package is 11 LPA, and core jobs are also very helpful in placements.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is still under construction. The new academic building was completed before our endsem exams; mostly the building, library, and academic facilities are expected to be completed this year. However, the sports facilities and the ground will take some more time as construction has not yet started. The hostel rooms are comfortable; they provide a study table with a table lamp, and each room houses three members. The only problem is the space; there should be two boys' hostels by now, but there is only one, causing some major spatial problems. Apart from that, the quality of the hostel is good. As for the mess, have no expectations; they provide good food upon your arrival for a month or two, but then the food quality depreciates massively. We have protested for better food, but nothing has changed in the end.

Faculty: The lectures depend on the professor of the subject. Some lectures are sufficient for achieving good grades, while for others, you have to cover the entire syllabus on YouTube. The faculty is available during working hours for work-related meetings, paper discussions, etc. Additionally, there are faculty members who provide information about all available scholarships and how to apply for them. The level of exams again depends on the subject and the professor; it varies from subject to subject. However, practicing previous year's questions and doing some additional practice is usually enough to get decent grades. The course curriculum is relevant for core jobs, but since most students are interested in the software industry, the college also provides guidance through coding clubs and other activities throughout the tenure.

Other: Our annual sports fest is called UDYATVA, and participating in it is enthusiastic. It is conducted very well; we also participated in organizing the program. Since the college is new, most of the work is done by students, from preparing the ground for playing to organizing various events. Overall, it was an enriching experience. The annual techno-cultural fest is ENYUGMA. Unfortunately, last year the fest was cancelled for unknown reasons, but we participated in its preparation. I was in the PR team, interacting with students from other colleges, informing them about our fest, inviting them, and handling other tasks. It was also a delightful experience, and if you search for ENYUGMA on YouTube, you'll see it was a mind-blowing event with the available resources. One thing I appreciate about this college is the efforts of the seniors to improve the college environment, develop curricula, and establish a culture for incoming batches. They always support us and organize various cultural and technical club programs.

The placements are okay and the facilities will also enhance once the new campus is completed.

Placements: More than 90% students were placed in 2023. The highest package offered was 23 LPA from Zscalar and the lowest was 5 LPA by Ambient Scientific. Amazon also comes for intern roles but the college claims it coming for full time job roles. Software engineer role is given to most of the students. One thing that is not good is that maximum roles given are that of a software engineer and very less for ECE and ME students.

Infrastructure: When I was in the college it had not building of its own. The classes would run in BCE, Bhagalpur’s campus. Last year in July 2023 the boys hostel has been completed. As the college infrastructure is still under construction everyone has to compromise with the sports facilities. During our time, the Director was a very egoistic person.

Faculty: The teachers are very helpful. All the faculty members have good knowledge in their fields. All the courses are industry relevant but need improvement. Mostly, theoretical knowledge is given. The semester exams are very easy, we just have to study the classroom notes. If you study nothing, no one is going to help you. The exams are very easy.

Other: I chose this course because there is a high demand for ECE engineers, mostly in VLSI industry. The college should provide more knowledge regarding the industries. Fest is average and the campus crowd is okay. There is good connectivity and the nearby airport is 100km Deoghar, another one is the Patna airport which is 250km away.
