A glimpse of IIIT GUWAHATI.
Placements: A total of 93 percent of the students get placed on our campus and the highest package offered is 1.2 crore, the lowest is around 6 lakh, and the average package is 17.2 lakh. the top recruiting companies involve Flipkart, Walmart and Amazon, and around 60–70% get internships from Microsoft and other companies. The roles offered when they do a full-time job get recruited as HR and are offered good positions.
Infrastructure: The complete campus is Wi-Fi enabled, the labs are well-equipped, the classrooms are well maintained, and they are digital classrooms. In the library, you can find all the books related to your academics and other books based on your interests. The mess food can be eaten and the hostel rooms are well maintained. In the room, we get a bed and a fan with attached washrooms. The mess food quality is okay, and we have quite a few canteens across the campus. The first-aid facility is readily available. For emergencies, you have an institute ambulance.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified and did their PhDs at well-regarded colleges and they do teach well and have a grip over the subject they teach. The curriculum is quite relevant and gets updated according to industry trends. The semester exams in the college are of moderate level and can be cracked with good preparation.
Other: I had an interest in the field of computers, which motivated me to take up this course. We have two events called Yuvaan and Entropy, and the scholarships for this campus can be availed of on NSP portals for those who are eligible.

It will be an amazing college in the upcoming years.
Placements: The highest and average package offered during IIIT Guwahati B.Tech placements in 2023 stood at INR 120 LPA and INR 15.5 LPA, respectively. The placement rate recorded during IIITG B.Tech. placements in 2023 was 89.19%. Apart from this, 191 job offers were made.
Infrastructure: Our college has an air-conditioned academic building that is open 24/7 and labs are kept open for students to study in. The library at our college is well-equipped with books and materials needed by students. The college provides 5G Wi-Fi and a table connection. Labs are well-equipped too.
Faculty: Faculty members present on campus are all PhDs and well-trained people. They solve doubts on a regular basis and help you a lot during exam times. The curriculum, though tough, is suitable for future studies as well. Exams are held daily, dividing your eight semesters into mid-semester and end-of-semester sections.

It has a decent college life and is good to study in.
Placements: As of April 30, 2024, IIIT Guwahati placed 62.5% of CSE students in its 2024 batch. The highest salary package offered reached 52 LPA, and the average salary being offered was 15.26 LPA. Top recruiting companies included Amazon, Atlassian, Cisco, DE Shaw, Deloitte, DeltaX, and Flipkart. Roles offered are software engineer, full stack developer, DevOps engineer, product manager, and a few others.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is good in the academic building but it is not reliable in the hostels. Labs are decent, and the classrooms are quite comfortable. Library has a decent seating area. The hostel is good, but the food served is not good. In terms of medical facilities, we have an ambulance. There is a gym, badminton court, table tennis, carrom, chess, cricket, and football facilities available.
Faculty: The teaching quality is quite good. We have guest lecturers from IIT Guwahati. The course design is very good. Exams are not very hard , one can pass by a one-night study. But regular classes are important. There is no such pass percentage because it is all relative grading.

Absolutely satisfied with faculty, good placements, and simple infrastructure .
Placements: 91% of students were placed in my course.
The highest average was 45 lpa, while the lowest average was 11 lpa.
80% of students got internships.
There are many companies that offer the best jobs. Some of these companies are Amazon, Google, Flipkart, etc. So placement-wise, it is a very good college to join. This is the main reason I joined here.
Infrastructure: All facilities are available: 24 hours of Wi-Fi, 18 hours of library access, etc.
We had a canteen in the academic block and a night canteen. The food available here is mainly North Indian food, twice a week: chicken and fish. For vegetarians, they provide paneer and potatoes.
Faculty: Yes, teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. They teach simply so that every student can understand, which makes the students industry-ready. Exams were very hard to crack and the pass percentage changed timely so there was no fixed value. It was really hard to crack exams .
Other: The best thing about my course was that I could create my own circuits.
There are many events, like Freshers, Entropy, Yuvaan, etc.

Good academic life but not campus life.
Placements: On average, 92% of total students are placed (both on campus and off campus). More than 70% of students get internships in their third year. The average package is of 17 LPA. The highest placement is 84 LPA in 2024. Companies like Amazon, Ola, and Zomato provide placements here.
Infrastructure: Since the campus is still under construction, most of these facilities are not available. But hostels are good and mess food is up to the mark. You can have a nice academic life. 24*7 Wi-Fi, electricity, and water supply are available. The sports complex is also undergoing construction.
Faculty: Exams are taken regularly here, including theory and lab practicals. The difficulty level is average and passing criteria depend on individual faculty. Also, 75% attendance is compulsory; otherwise, you are not allowed in any exams. These rules are strictly followed.

A review on our campus: IIITG.
Placements: Our college has a separate placement cell, which helps students get jobs. The percentage of students who got placed is 97 percent, with the highest package of 120 LPA and an average of 17 LPA. The companies that are recruiting are Amazon, TCS, Filpkart, Games craft, etc.
Infrastructure: Our campus was spread across 67 acres, including an academic block, two boys hostels, one girl hostel, 1 faculty block, a student activity center, and a lake. Facilities in our campus included 1Gbps Wi-Fi, large collections of books in library, etc.
An ambulance was available 24/7 with a medical kit. Students activity centre consists of gym, badminton court, table tennis, etc.
Faculty: The faculty was well experienced and had completed their Ph.D. from top colleges in India like IIT and NIT, etc. They were very friendly with students, which helped to clear up any doubts. The course is very relevant and helps you get placed at a top college. The semester exam is quite difficult to get a 9+ CGPA but it can be achieved with hard work.
Other: Our college conducts many fests frequently and students participate very actively. Scholarships are available for students and eligible students can apply through NSP portals.
