One of the greatest experiences with lots of great friendships and memories.
Placements: Well, I'd say that people are placed in the MBA phase of the course, and I exited after the BBA phase, but they do provide placement opportunities to everyone and make sure that everyone is placed with a guarantee of 9 LPA. Well, the highest package was 30 LPA, the lowest was 7 LPA, and the average lies around 13 LPA. Well, we had companies like Deloitte, Bank of America, Reliance Limited, Fund TX, JP Morgan, and TCS. Well, getting internships was a mandatory aspect of our course, which was the responsibility of the placement committee.
Infrastructure: I would say the infrastructure in Nirma was top notch; they had smart classrooms, and they had big classrooms with ACs. The campus is quite huge and lush green with all kinds of sports facilities, such as football and cricket grounds, tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, and enough lawns to host various events.
I'd say the quality of hostels is quite good and hostel food is quite good, with them providing laundry and mess facilities and they have a doctor's clinic within the campus
Faculty: Yes, there are a few professors who, in fact, are quite helpful, responsive, and knowledgeable enough to impart the required wisdom and impart practical knowledge along with the theoretical study. Yes, I feel the course curriculum was very diverse, with all kinds of fields for anyone to explore and determine our interest, along with tutorial sessions for specific courses, and the rigour does make us ready for the corporate world.
Well, we had a trimester system, and the term-end examinations (TEE) were very rigorous with practically no gap between the examinations. Well, the pass percentage for the TEE exams was 40%.
Other: Well, I come from the 2020-21 Covid batch, so when I got the offer from Nirma, I was thrilled because I was familiar with Ahmedabad, and the reviews I received from my peers and certain other people made me choose Nirma over the other offers I had of St. Joseph's College and OP Jindal. Well I feel the structure, the inclusivity, the drama, the stress and you pulling it together was something I really cherished. Well I think they could have restructured the examination system since we had a trimester system; the attendance policy was too rigorous, which was 85%, which didnt give us so much space to be liberating. Well there were so many events that used to take place, like:
1. Genesis (Cultural Committee fest)
2. Invictus—the sports event
3. Cricshetra by Khelnayak commitee
4. Garba Night
5. Social drives by the social committee—Mavericks
6. Bollywood Night by Ritayan Committee
7. Poltergeist by Ritayan
8. Freshers party organised by Abhivyakti
