Q:   Question: How is the course curriculum for B.Com at Jagran College of Arts, Science and Commerce?

    A:
    {Source: B.Com students & alumni}

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's how the course curriculum at Jagran College of Arts, Science, and Commerce is structured for B.Com:

    Course Curriculum:

    * The course curriculum is relevant for those interested in commerce and business-related fields.
    * It focuses on practical applications, with an emphasis on case studies and industry exposure.
    * The curriculum is designed to equip students with basic knowledge of finance, accounting, and economics.
    * Some students felt that the curriculum could be improved with more contemporary and updated topics.
    * Others appreciated the hands-on approach and the opportunity to develop soft skills through extracurricular activities.

    Teaching Methods:

    * Faculty members are well-qualified and experienced, with many holding doctoral degrees.
    * They employ traditional teaching methods, which may not be entirely effective for modern-day learning.
    * Some students mentioned that the teachers were helpful and knowledgeable, while others reported feeling overwhelmed due to inadequate teaching materials.

    Assessments:

    * Seminars and projects are integral parts of the course curriculum, allowing students to apply theoretical concepts practically.
    * Exam format typically includes written tests, with some semesters ending with final exams.
    * Majority of students reportedly clear the exams with average marks.

It appears that while the course curriculum is somewhat outdated, the college tries to compensate with industry exposure, practical applications, and extracurricular activities. Additionally, the faculty members seem committed to helping students learn despite the limitations of the curriculum.

Q:   How does the placement cell for B.Com at Jagran College of Arts, Science and Commerce assist students in getting placed?

    A:
    {Source: B.Com students & alumni}

Placement Cell for B.Com at Jagran College of Arts, Science and Commerce

Unfortunately, the placement cell at Jagran College of Arts, Science and Commerce does not specifically cater to B.Com students. According to student reviews:

    * "There is no placement opportunity for B.Com students."
    * "The college provides placement assistance, but it's mostly for other courses, not B.Com."

However, the college has a placements cell that focuses on assisting other courses, including B.Com Honors and BA Economics Honors students. The cells' primary objectives include organizing pre-placement talks, training sessions, mock interviews, and facilitating contacts between companies and graduates. While this may benefit B.Com students indirectly, there appears to be no dedicated effort made by the college to place B.Com students.

Note: The above response is based solely on the provided student reviews and does not contain any promotional language.

No college life and the worst crowd.
Placements: The scope of placements and internships is very limited, not just because of the college but also because of the fewer corporate opportunities in the city itself. Just a college for the purpose of a dummy college; there is no college life or environment; you better choose VSICS.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is according to the fee structure, but the sports facilities are very poor; there is no sports club, not even a proper coach or teacher, and students just get a ground to play all together without any authority support. A total of one or two sports events happen in the whole annual period.
Faculty: Teachers are not helpful and are very casual, which is the nature of students too, because of their lack of professionalism and structured rules. The crowd is not good, the faculty is rude too, there is no scope for learning anything, no attendance is needed, and there are zero placements in the case of UG courses.
Other: The crowd is not good, and the college is just for dummy purposes; there is no college life and no environment; it is better to choose VSICS.

Our college provides good education and enables students to live a quality life.
Placements: Almost 75-80% of students got placed in this course. The average salary package offered ranges between 10 LPA - 12 LPA. Many students got internships in this course. Students should gather some professional knowledge before taking the very first step toward their corporate life. Top roles offered were executive manager, sales manager, accountant, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities were very good. The infrastructure was good. All staff members were polite. There was a separate library in this college. Laboratories were well-maintained and well-equipped. The food served in the canteen was good. Sports were conducted such as cricket, basketball, volleyball, dance, singing, etc.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, knowledgeable, and qualified. They guided us in all aspects. The teaching quality was good. The course curriculum was relevant. Semester exams were moderate. Mock tests were conducted for students before final exams.
Other: Extracurricular activities were conducted in this college.

    My experience with Jagran.
Placements: There are 340 students in my course. The average package offered is about 2-3 LPA. No top companies are recruiting at the college, and only 20-30 students secured internships. There are no top roles offered by these companies; they provide very common roles like sales manager and data operator.
Infrastructure: The campus is architecturally designed with modern classrooms, seminar rooms, and faculty offices. High-speed Wi-Fi access is available throughout the campus. The library has an extensive collection of books, journals, and digital databases, with dedicated study spaces. The campus is very big, and you can't explore it all in one day.
Faculty: The faculty, as a whole, are really good and supportive, but because of some notorious students, they aren't able to teach the good students properly. To be honest, you'll sometimes find the class boring, as the teachers often come in, narrate the notes for you to write, and then leave. Yes, the curriculum is relevant, and the semester exams are not as tough as claimed by seniors. The minimum passing percentage is 40%.

Review of Jagran College of Arts, Science and Commerce.
Placements: Top recruiting companies do not visit our campus. In our college, placements are not good. Most students go for higher education at other colleges to get jobs. Internships are not provided by the college. Students who want to gain experience and knowledge must depend on external sources.
Infrastructure: Our classrooms are well-air-conditioned. There are computer labs and other labs for practical training. The canteen in the college serves hygienic food. For students who are interested in sports activities, there is a basketball court and a garden.
Faculty: The course curriculum is not relevant to today's world. The majority of the syllabus is outdated. The college cannot do anything to improve it as the curriculum is decided by the university itself. Our teachers are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Any student can clear the exams if they have studied the material properly.
Other: The college neither provides practical training nor internships to students, which is a major drawback. The campus life is good.

Review of Jagran College of Arts, Science and Commerce.
Placements: In our college, placements are not good. Most students do not get jobs because many companies do not visit the campus. Internship opportunities are not available to students, so they have to look for internships outside the college.
Infrastructure: Our college has air-conditioned classrooms, an auditorium, a well-furnished library, a canteen, and a sports ground. Medical facilities are available. The food available in the canteen is hygienic. It has a wide variety of food items. There is a basketball court along with the garden.
Faculty: Our teachers are highly qualified and experienced in the subject that they teach. The course is decided by Kanpur University every year but most of it is outdated. There are two semesters each year, and exams are held at the end of each year. The majority of students clear the exams with average marks.
Other: It is an excellent college for students with a commerce background.

It is a good college with a good faculty.
Placements: There were no percentage admissions; it's my first year, so I don't know about the placement drive, but the college faculty has already told us that there is a 100% internship in the B.Com course. Well, I don't know much about it, so I can't explain more, but the college provides placement in higher-paid courses.
Infrastructure: The classes are big enough with windows at the back side so that there is ventilation, and the classes are cleaned daily. The library is very well organized; the books are properly kept on the shelf, and the course names are written on the shelf.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified because they teach us in an interesting way so that the classes become more interactive and interesting. The semester internal exam was held in the college, and the exams were not so easy and not too difficult. Every student who has only read the chapters would have also passed it very easily.
Other: The best thing in the college is that you can join the class at any time during your classes. The events are held here and are well organized. Recently we had an event called Mann Mradang, which was a dandia event in which we wore traditional dresses, and the upcoming event is Kalanjali; it will be held in February. The college campus is very good.
