JIMMC is a great college for education with an amazing campus life.
Placements: I am Konark Rataan. I have done B.J.M.C. from JIMMC in 2015. It was a great experience to study there. If I talk about placements so 75% of students were placed in my course. The highest salary offered was 3.2 LPA, the average was 2.5 LPA and the lowest was 1.8 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Jagran, NBT, Times of India that came to recruit the students. Top roles were Editor and Reporter. As of now, the highest package was 4.8 LPA offered by the company. 90% of students got internship from my course in Different news companies like Jagran, NBT, and Amar Ujala. There were some small news company also in which students got an internship.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good. Wi-Fi is available there for the students. The library is very good and full of good books according to courses and curriculum. Classrooms are very big and ventilated. Furniture is good which is provided in the classrooms. Labs are also there for Science students with amazing instruments. Science students can practice there. Food quality is good provided in Canteen. Medical facilities are there.
Faculty: The faculty members were amazing there. They were very well qualified and knowledgeable. They were very helpful and supportive. They always helped to solve problems. This course which I have done was very relevant for them who wants to come into journalism whether it is print or Digital. The course curriculum is relevant and it makes the students industry ready.
Other: Since childhood, I wanted to come into this line. This line makes you aware about every field whether it is crime, entertainment, hospitality or tourism ( in short every field). That's the reason I chose this course. I think this course is complete with media labs, Good teachers and guaranteed placements if you are a regular student. There is one event Udghosh which is organized every year. The scholarship programme is also there.
