JIPMER MBBS Courses & Fees 2025: Eligibility & Selection, Application Process, Cutoff

Candidates without access to the internet had to visit the nearest Common Services Centre (CSC). The CSCs help in filling out the application form for NEET 2025 and payment of the application fee. NTA released the re-revised scorecard on July 26, 2024. In this scorecard, the score has been revised as per the Supreme Court verdict of removing the bonus marks awarded earlier for the controversial Physics question, and deducting one mark from those who marked incorrect answer options. The city and centre-wise result data such as number of candidates appeared and scores obtained, by masking candidates' personal data was released on July 21, as per the Supreme Court order given on the hearing dated July 18, 2024. The NEET 2024 result for the re-exam, which was conducted on June 23, was declared on July 1, day day after the slated date. The final answer keys for the NEET 2024 re-exam was released by June 30, ahead of the result declaration. Earlier, the result of NEET 2024 was declared by NTA on June 4, 2024, 10 days ahead of the original schedule, which was June 14, 2024. NTA released the final NEET answer keys on June 4, prior to the release of the NEET result 2024. The NEET result was declared in an online mode. Candidates have to log in with their registration credentials or application number and date of birth, and download their scorecard in PDF format. NTA also released the merit list containing the name, Roll Number, All India Rank and Percentile of the candidates. Along with the NEET 2024 scorecard, NTA also released the NEET 2024 cutoff marks or the qualifying marks/scores. 

No, in comparison to MBBS fee at other colleges, JIPMER Puducherry is not expensive. The total tuition fee for the 66-months long programme is INR 30,465. Additionally, the total fee may include other components as well, such as security deposit, library fee, and more. A few of these components are one-time chargeable, while some have to be paid annually/semesterly. The mentioned fee amount is taken from the official website/sanctioning body. It is still subject to changes and hence, is indicative. 

The NEET application form 2025 has to be filled in online mode only. However, there is an exception for the applicants residing in the Kashmir valley or Leh. The NEET 2025 application fee has to be paid using a credit card/debit card, net banking, Paytm or UPI. In case candidates faced any technical or server issue, they are advised to wait for sometime or change the internet source. If the issue persists further, then they have to visit any of the Common Service Centres (CSC).

Candidates while filling out the application form or during admission must hold the relevant documents. These have to be submitted at the institute (original or copies). The authority refer to these documents for verification of the information provided in the application. 

The list of documents required during the MBBS application process at JIPMER Puducherry is given below:

• NEET (UG) admit card and result/ rank letter issued by NTA
• Application form (with the application sequence number mentioned in the merit list published herewith)
• Proof of Date of Birth (Class 10 certificate/ Birth certificate)
• Class 12 mark sheet
• Softcopy of coloured passport-size photograph (recent) with light background (30 mm * 45 mm; 20 KB to 80 KB)
• Signature of the candidate (80 mm * 35 mm; 20 KB to 80 KB)
• Course-cum-conduct certificate/ Character certificate
• Transfer certificate/ Migration certificate from the Head of the Institution last studied
• Aadhaar Card
• Residence certificate (required for Puducherry residents)
• Nationality certificate/ Domicile certificate / Nativity certificate issued by Revenue Authority (not below the rank of Tehsildar)
• Community/ Category certificate (for OBC/SC/ST/EWS candidates)
• Medical Certificate (for OPH candidates)

NTA is expected to start the NEET 2025 registration in the first week of March 2025. The last date of application will be scheduled in the first week of April 2025. Based on student requests and other external factors, NTA may extend or reopen the NEET application window by mid-April. NEET 2025 is expected to be conducted in the first week of May 2025. NEET 2025 application process will be conducted online. Candidates have to fill and submit the application form in an online mode along with the payment of the application fee.

The admission cycle for MBBS at the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research begins with the release of NEET notification. Its application form is usually released in the March month of the admission year. The entrance exam is conducted in May. Aspirants must stay updated with the exam schedule to avoid missing out an important event.

The cutoffs will be released on a rolling basis, and the seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The JIPMER MBBS cutoff is based on the following factors:

•  The NEET score of the candidate
•  The category of the candidate
•  The number of seats available in the course

The opening and closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For the General category under All India, opening rank was 302 and closing rank was 302. Cut off are differant when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state.
