    {Source: B.Arch students & alumni}

Based on the reviews and feedback from current students and alumni, here's what you can expect:

    Pros:

    * Good faculty: Many reviewers praised the professors' qualifications, experience, and willingness to help students.
    * Excellent library resources: The library is reportedly one of the best in South India, providing access to journals, research papers, and books.
    * Decent infrastructure: While the college hostel is lacking, the library, labs, and classrooms are modernized and well-maintained.
    * Practical training: Students receive hands-on training and site visits, which is essential for an architecture degree.
    * Scholarships: Region-based scholarships are available for deserving students.

    Cons:

    * Limited placements: Placements are limited, and many students rely on outside opportunities. However, some companies like L&T and Genesis do visit the campus.
    * No hostel on-campus: The college hostel is located off-campus, making commuting inconvenient.
    * Canteen issues: The canteen is currently under construction, and the hostel food is not satisfactory.
    * Limited sports facilities: While there is a sports room, it only offers indoor games, and outdoor spaces are lacking.
    * Higher education fees: Although relatively affordable (Rs. 20,000 per annum), there might be additional costs for materials and equipment.

However, it's crucial to be prepared for the challenges mentioned above and plan accordingly.

Remember, attending a college fair, speaking with current students, and visiting the campus (if possible) can give you a better sense of whether JNAFAU SPA is the right fit for you.

A Good enough University for Architecture.
Placements: The highest stipend offered this year was 7.5k this year. We do have internships offered throughout the course period though. Since it is architecture so it's sort of expected to be low in the beginning. Placement cell isn't the finest in our university. There's not much you can expect in terms of placement because it is not an engineering course.
Infrastructure: Library is really good and so is the faculty and overall course structure. It is not bad, it's a good college. There's no hostel provided. Canteen is under construction and it would be ready soon enough. We have a sports room for indoor games like table tennis, etc.
Faculty: The semester exams are average. The course structure is good enough and the faculty is pretty good and ready to help out students. We have a lot of trips for documentation for classes. The course curriculum is pretty relevant only for a few subjects, overall it's average.

College is not huge, but pleasant is more.
Placements: Placements are low and mainly jobs are from outside the college. Opportunities are from outside firms. The lowest packages 2 Lacs and the highest is 4lakh. Junior architects, Principal architects are the jobs role.100 percentage students get internships and with good performance.
Infrastructure: Smart classes and fine faculty and administration and playground is small. Hostel facility is avai5from 1st year and it is far away around 5kms from college. And college hostel is not well-equipped. Hostel fee is very low and it provides only B.Ed and water.
Faculty: Faculty are well qualified and exams are also fine and passing in exam as easy as most are practical. Exams are at the same college as it is autonomous college. At the final year students are trained for internship. Pass percentage is 50 percentage means grade.

Not really good at infrastructure and facilities but best at its faculty.
Placements: Placements in our college is not 100% sure. The students may get placed or not and it depends. Though, to my acknowledgement my super seniors were placed at good companies with good packages. 50-60 % students were placed before pandemic. In our course the students are placed in various roles such as Junior Architects, Interior Designers and many more related to design.
Infrastructure: Though it is a government university, it does not seem like an university at all. There is a small ground which is used for parking vehicles mostly by outsiders. And besides this small ground there is no other ground in the university. There is no Wi-Fi available for students to work. There is no canteen for now, but it is in construction and may be opened by 2023. And coming to hostels, there is only one boys hostel for the university. But keeping these aside the best thing that university provides us is with the Library. The JNAFAU library is one of the best library in Hyderabad which provides us with every journal, research papers, books etc.
Faculty: Another best thing about JNAFAU is that it has best and experienced faculty. The teachers are much experienced and friendly with students. The teaching quality is very good and faculty helps students a lot. But the students should also be in self learning module, since all the teachers don't make it every day to each and every student about doubts and works. The students should indulge and work. Self learning and studying is important. One thing which lacks in curriculum is that the students don't have much practical knowledge. The faculty are unable to take students to regular case studies and site visits. The semester exams are difficult if we don't study.

It is the only college in India with good infrastructure and library at such a low cost.
Placements: Placements are not be considered in any architecture college. It all depends on the individual's portfolios. However, we can apply for any firm in the world. Companies like L&T and other local firms visit the campus. Top role offered is an architect and it may vary based on the specialisations.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is extremely good as it is an architectural college the design and all were nice. Wi-Fi, labs, and classrooms are digitalised & there is an extraordinary library in south India. The main thing is that the college hostel isn't that good and it's far away from the college. Canteen is under construction. Sports facilities are good enough. Overall the infrastructure is decent.
Faculty: Faculty members are extremely supportive and encouraging. They are highly qualified in their streams. The course curriculum is completely fine with practical training and site visits and trips. Semester exams are a bit tough though we can go through them. The pass percentage is 50%.
Other: I opted for this course because architecture itself is a unique and creative course. The college hostel and ground are missing mainly. Events and fests are prior to every festival. Scholarships are provided based on region and percentage.

Our field is good, but less salary packages are offered in it compared to engineering.
Placements: In the architecture, none of the companies would decide your talent by your academic percentage. Companies will interview us, and if they like our skills, they will recruit us. The lowest salary package offered varies from 2.5 LPA-3.0 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are Genesis, Godrej, etc. Roles offered in our course are planning, designing and execution of any construction site. It is a 5 years course, and there will be a study for 4 years in college. We should do an internship in the 5th year as it is compulsory.
Infrastructure: The worst thing about our college infrastructure is there is no hostel on the campus as it is somewhere far away from campus, i.e., in Abids. Our college has one of the worst maintained hostels, and none of the students would try to join there. The food is not served in the hostel as it is only for accommodation. The library in our college is excellent as it is one of the top 5 architecture libraries in Asia. There will be a lot of collection of books in the library, and we can borrow books also.
Faculty: There are most experienced faculty members in our college as it is one of the oldest colleges, i.e., it was established before independence. They are helpful.
Other: I have chosen this course because it is different from normal engineering, which is a professional and creative field. I wish that our college should conduct workshops and site visits frequently as students will come to know the things practically. The fee is very less, i.e., only Rs.20,000 per annum. Our college organises some fests like Manasara, etc.

The college is not that great, but it is average.
Placements: About 30% of the students from our course got placed. The average salary offered in our course is Rs. 15,000 per month. The highest salary offered is Rs. 25,000 per month and the lowest salary offered is Rs. 8,000 per month. DFL is the top recruiting company of our course. Top roles, like an architect, planner and designer, are offered to the students. Almost 90% of the students from our course got an internship.
Infrastructure: The college provides facilities like canteen, lobby and two labs. I do not stay in the hostel. We don't have scope to play games as it doesn't provide a playground. Food served in the canteen is good. The college provides a sports room where we play only indoor games.
Faculty: Some teachers in our college are helpful, but some are not helpful. All the teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. Some teachers teaching quality is good. Some teachers conduct private tuitions, and we are charged to attend those classes.
Other: I have chosen this course because I am interested in construction. The best thing about our course is the way of study is different. I wish the college should provide software coaching from the first semester. In earlier days, the college used to organise a lot of fests, but not now.
