The review of KGEC by Rudra.
Placements: 70 to 80 percent of students were placed in our course. Top recruiting companies for our course are TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant, Capgemini, Accenture, Larsen and Toubro, and IBM. Top roles offered in our course are JDE, SDE, government officer, SWE, project manager, and gratitude engineer. The highest package offered in our course was 64 lacs per annum, and the average package offered is 4.5 lacs per annum. 20 to 30 percent of students got internships at Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facility of our department are good. Wi-Fi is available for studying. Labs are well-equipped. The library is there with good content of books. The quality of facilities in our hostel is excellent. The mess food is neat and clean. The medical facilities are also available. A ground is available for sports.
Faculty: All of our teachers are Ph.D. graduates, and even some of them are top researchers at top universities, so the professors are extremely educated, and they teach excellently. The course curriculum is important, and it makes the students industry-ready. The semester exams depend on how much work a student has put into his studies. Besides, the semester exams are quite tough, and 70 to 80 percent of students pass the exams.
Other: I chose ECE in KGEC because our department provides the most internships and packages. And also, KGEC is also well known for their extremely good core branches. Everything is perfect about our course. There are multiple events and seminars happening each day. Our annual fest, Espektro, is the second biggest fest in West Bengal. The connectivity is also good. But our college does not have any particular background wall. Our college provides scholarships for every student whose CGPA is above 8.

A good experience in KGEC.
Placements: 75-80% of students are placed every year. The highest package of 2023-2024 has been 64 lacs per annum. The lowest package being 5 lacs per annum Top recruiting companies are TCS, COGNIZANT, INFOSYS, HPL, HCL, WOOD, DXCORR, etc. 30-40 percent of students get internships from several companies on campus or off campus drives. Top roles offered are VLSI engineers or many government jobs and many SDE and JDE jobs.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not quite good. Wi-Fi is available. Lab instruments are needed more as they are less in number. Classrooms are good, and libraries are also good. I live in the hostel, Raja Ram Mohan Roy Hall, in Kalyani Government Engineering College. Hostel culture is rich in games, extracurricular activities, and other events. Food is also good, and the canteen is also available. The affordable hostel charges 2000 rs per month.
Faculty: Faculty is good with all Ph.D. teachers and professors. Some are among the top 2 percent of scientists in the world. The semester examination is not that tough, affiliated by MAKAUT. The fee for each semester examination is 1200 rupees, and the tuition fee for each semester is 6000 rupees in electronics and communication engineering. Almost 70-80% of students always get a good CGPA.
Other: Chose this course because of recommendations of my parents school teachers, and this college is one of the best government colleges in West Bengal for engineering, and the faculty syllabus and study system are effective here. I think there must be some improvements for lab instruments and practicals for students because they are in miserable states and fewer in number. Our annual fest is Espektro KGEC, the techno-management cum cultural fest of Kalyani Government Engineering College. The crowd is around 16-20k for the 4-day-long extravaganza and is the second largest fest of West Bengal. Scholarship is given mainly by SVMCM annually, 60000 rupees to every student with less annual income than 250000 rupees.

Kalyani Government Engineering college is an option or not.
Placements: Placements are average. The highest salary package offered off-campus in our department is 83 LPA. It is not from the core. There is a training and placement cell in our college which does great work to attract companies to our college. The average salary package offered on-campus in our department is 10 LPA.
Infrastructure: Labs are well-equipped. Some classrooms are air-conditioned. The girls' hostel is very old due to which students will have to face problems. There is no gym facility in our college.
Faculty: Our teachers are well-qualified in their fields. They are helpful. They are not going to provide support for any non-core placements or internships. Semester exams are conducted by MAKAUT as our college is under MAKAUT. Exams are not very difficult. MAKAUT provides questions from a particular part or topic. The course is relevant and makes students ready for higher studies. Practicals make students ready for industries. Faculty members are good. They have ample knowledge in their field. They are helpful in the core subjects only.

All about KGEC in one review.
Placements: 85% students placed in the Information Technology department this year. Overall, placement is 90%. TCS is the main hiring company, and almost all students are placed or go for higher studies. I would recommend this college. It is one of the top colleges in West Bengal.
Infrastructure: Our department has a separate building called Meghnad Saha Bhavan. All our facilities are well-maintained and the staff is well-educated. Our lab is also well-maintained, and we have good lab teachers. We enjoy our course, and our teachers are friendly. I prefer this.
Faculty: All our teachers are well-educated, and most of them have completed their Ph.D. degrees. They are very well-mannered. It is very helpful for performing at an industry level in whatever they teach. Semester exams are easy but complex. If you study, you might get great results.
Other: I love KGEC for their culture and clubs, especially our FEAT and Espektro.

One of the best government colleges in West Bengal.
Placements: Almost 80% students were placed in 2024. The highest package for information technology department is 40 LPA, and the average package is 8 LPA. The recruiting companies are Amazon, Groww, Tagmango, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, TCS, Infosys, etc. Some students got internships in companies like Tagmango, Pixbox AI, Siemens, Geeksforgeeks, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is average. Labs are almost well equipped. Classrooms are moderate. Ethernet is available in the labs. The library is little bit outdated, but we have digital library. Hostels are not good at all. The food is bad. We have different playgrounds to play games like football, cricket, badminton, volleyball, etc.
Faculty: The teachers are extremely helpful. They all have multiple degrees, and everyone of them has expertise in their particular domains. The course is industry-related. I personally think some subjects are backdated. The semester is harder than average. The pass percentage is almost 90%.
Other: I was aiming for computer science and information technology courses because I want to be a game developer. May be the labs could be better. They should give us more industry-related projects. Our college holds a cultural fest named Espektro and a technical fest named Techtix.

Kalyani Government College Best Review.
Placements: In the IT and CSE department, almost 87 percent of students are placed in various top tech companies. The CSE department is excellent at this college. In other departments, the percentage of getting placed is 79 percent. The highest package offered is around 45 lakh per annum, and the lowest is 4 lakhs per annum. Top companies include IBM, TCS, Infosys, Wood, Redhat, Wipro, etc. Almost 40 percent of students get internships from this course in IT industry companies like Google, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Codesoft, TCS, etc. Top roles offered are SDE, SWE, Project Manager, Gratitude Engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is not too good; all the buildings of the college are not up to par. But faculty members of our college are very helpful; they assist students a lot. There are good quality labs and classrooms available. There is a central Library present at the college named MSB building, and it contains more than 20 thousand books. Hostel facilities are good; the food of the mess is good, and you can play TT, Volleyball, Tennis in the hostel, and for cricket, there is a separate ground present, Wi-Fi available at the hostel. For medical purposes, our college has an emergency car, and nearby there is AIIMS Kalyani situated.
Faculty: The teachers are the best part of this college. They are very helpful, well-qualified, and mainly guide the students. Their teaching quality is excellent. They are very good at this job. Yes, the course is curriculum relevant; yes, it makes the student industry-ready. Semester exams are not very hard. They are relatively easy; almost every student passes their sem exam. The passing percentage is 90 percent.
Other: I chose this course because of the good placement rate. The campus is so peaceful and calm. The annual fest of KGEC is Espektro; it is the second-biggest fest after IIT KGP fest. You can get two significant scholarships: one is SVMCM and freeship if you are eligible.
