Decent college, no infrastructure as such, and good curriculum.
Placements: Most people get placed at our college. Generally, placements start in 4th year but we also have internship opportunities from our college. So there are always PPO chances for sole students. Most top law firms, like Khaitan, AZB, Trilegal, etc., come for campus placements.
Infrastructure: The course is amazing and is in demand these days. The only problem is the infrastructure. Our college is in the Mithibai building so there's many other colleges there as well. It becomes very crowded. Other than that, it's decent at best. The canteens are great.
Faculty: The faculty is decent. There are really good professors and there are okay ones as well. But the course outline is really good. It's very extensive and we'll structure it. It's planned well and ahead of time. The faculty tries hard to keep up with it. It's good overall.
Other: I took up law because I had no other option left (long story) but I definitely don't regret taking admission to Kirit P. Mehta School of Law.

Average college, below-average facilities, mixed faculty, and little to no opportunities.
Placements: Terrible placements after COVID, but the placement cell is working hard, at least to get themselves placed first. Internship opportunities are provided but only to a selected 2-3 out of a batch of 400 people. If you are interested in litigation or the judiciary, then this college is not for you.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is terrible; it does not even provide access to YouTube videos, which are required to learn because of competent teachers. The library is full during exams, with no place to sit. There are not enough classrooms to accommodate all the batches so timing is compromised for the same; sometimes 12 p.m.–6 p.m., sometimes 7 a.m., according to the whims of administration.
Faculty: Mixed kind of faculty members, permanent faculty members are worse than the temporary ones. Teachers like Twinkle Maheshwary are there who barely teach and are absent most of the time. But college compensates for that with some good ones too. Some of the faculty are experts in their niche, whereas others are just newbies who read word-for-word from PowerPoints and won't be able to answer questions on their own subject.

Review of Kirit P. Mehta School of Law, NMIMS, Mumbai.
Placements: The placement cell isn't good at KPMSOL. Only the top 10% of students are placed with an average package. However, since NMIMS has a good brand name, getting internships is quite easier. But the package is as low as 8-9 LPA, which isn't worth it to spend here at NMIMS.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is great, fully air-conditioned. The library is decent. The canteen is above average. Only veg food is available, prices are a little on the higher end but it's value for money. They have an amazing variety. Classrooms are top-notch. Hostel isn't recommended.
Faculty: Teachers are great, major teachers are good, few are okay. Course outline is relevant. Yeah, it makes students industry-ready if internships are taken seriously. 50 marks - ICA (20 marks midsems - 10 GD, 10 Test MCQ, 10 class participation) 50 marks - Final exams.
Other: Fests are amazing. If it's NMIMS, take part in as many committees and fests as you can; it's the best part about them. Crowd is decent. Infra is great (Navi Mumbai Campus). No moot culture. Faculty have improved with time. Placement is a red flag.

NMIMS is a decent college .
Placements: As per the latest records, the highest package offered was 18 LPA (2023) including 2 years of lockdown which somehow impacted the growth. Average package was 9 LPA for B.A. LLB and 6-7 LPA for BBA LLB. I would say that by the time I will graduate from this college, placements will be good enough. But there are so many drawbacks of being in nmims like daily expenses are way too high, infra is compromised, and 80% strict attendance.
Infrastructure: KPMSOL (Kirit P. Mehta School of law) plays a very unique marketing strategy where they'll always show you the glass building when you search nmims but in reality you'll have to attend all your lectures in mithibai building which is not upto the mark. They are planning to shift us to a new building, Let us hope for the best.
Faculty: The faculty is pretty good and let me be very clear you won't have a Bollywood college life. You'll have to attend lectures regularly because they are very rigid towards the attendance policy. Most importantly you'll have to be academically active here .
Other: Nmims have various committees where you'll learn a lot of things so don't worry you'll have a college life too and events like intra mediation, Intra Moot court, MUN and much more. The fees is much more than any other law college. I mean it is 3.2 LPA and it's just the tuition fees excluding the expenses in Mumbai city.

Absolutely satisfied by the faculty. The infrastructure is good.
Placements: 70 per cent were placed average package was 6 lack per Anjum 100 per cent got internships Hod of different departments and VC of terminals you get to be interns at big three companies and getting internships is compulsory. All faculty members are highly educated.
Infrastructure: The facilities are top notch for the most part. The library is honesty maintained really well and is the perfect place to study. The food on all the canteen is good but specially good at the 6th and 8th floor and is really affordable. The medical room has all the facilities required.
Faculty: The teachers are really qualified and honesty one of the best things about studying here. The problem honesty are the exam as the are teachers are not allowed to give the students full marks and the curriculum is really difficult to cover by the students and exam season really stresses you out.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to become a corporate lawyer. The air conditioned honesty keeps on breaking down and changing classes constantly is annoying and frustrating. Also the queue for the lift is crazy specially after 11 am it takes really long to reach your class sometimes.

* Internship opportunities are scarce, with only 2-3 students out of a batch of 400 getting selected.

Teaching and Curriculum

* Teachers are generally good and experienced, with some exceptions.
* The curriculum is relevant and updated regularly, making students industry-ready.

Infrastructure and Facilities

* Infrastructure is good, with air-conditioned classrooms, a decent library, and above-average canteen services.
* However, the hostel facility is not recommended, and students may need to opt for private accommodations.

Student Life and Activities

* Fests and cultural activities are enjoyable, with many opportunities to participate in various committees.
* However, the campus life is limited due to sharing the premises with Mithibai College.

Q:   Is it worth pursuing B.A. LL.B. (Hons) at Kirit P Mehta School of Law?

A:
{Source: B.A. LL.B. (Hons) students & alumni}

Based on the reviews and feedback from current students and alumni, here are some key points to consider:

Infrastructure: The college shares a space with Mithibai College, which can lead to overcrowding issues. While the classrooms are air-conditioned and well-maintained, the college lacks its own hostel facilities and playground.

Faculty: The faculty is generally considered decent, with some excellent professors and others who could improve. The course outline is strong, and the college prioritizes student involvement and interaction.

Placements: Placements are a major highlight of the college, with most students securing jobs within four months of graduation. Top recruiters include Khaitan & Co., AZB & Partners, and Deloitte. Average packages range between INR6-12 Lacs per annum.

Course Curriculum: The course is well-designed, covering a wide range of topics and providing hands-on experience through research papers, vivas, and presentations. The curriculum is versatile, with specialised subjects introduced in the final two years.

Campus Life: With over 1000 students enrolled, the college atmosphere can be lively. Various committees and clubs exist, offering opportunities for extracurricular engagement. Events like Meraki (cultural festival), Parakram (sports festival), and seminars attract participation from students.

Value-for-Money: Tuition fees stand at approximately INR3.2 Lacs per year, which is higher compared to other law colleges. However, considering the reputation, infrastructure, and placement record, many students feel it's worth the investment.

In conclusion, while Kirit P Mehta School of Law faces some challenges regarding infrastructure and faculty diversity, the college excels in terms of placements, course curriculum, and campus life. For students willing to invest in their education, it might be a worthwhile option, especially considering the potential returns in terms of career prospects. However, individual circumstances and priorities should be carefully weighed before making a decision.
