Q:   Is B.Sc. at Magadh Mahila College a good choice?

    A:
    {Source: B.Sc. students & alumni}

Here's what students and alumni have to say:

    Pros:
    * Helpful teachers: Many students praise the teachers' willingness to clarify doubts, provide individual attention, and motivate them to excel.
    * Good infrastructure: The college has well-furnished classrooms, laboratories, and a library, providing a conducive learning environment.
    * Hostel facilities: The hostel is considered comfortable, with amenities such as air conditioning, laundry services, and a cafeteria.
    * Sports and cultural activities: Regular sporting events, festivals, and workshops add to the overall college experience.

    Cons:
    * Limited placement opportunities: Most students reported limited job prospects, with some stating that the college rarely conducts interviews or offers internships.
    * Average quality of education: Some students felt that the education quality could be improved, citing a lack of relevance in the curriculum and moderate difficulty levels in semester exams.

Overall assessment: While the college excels in terms of infrastructure, teacher-student interaction, and extracurricular activities, its placement record and education quality leave much to be desired. Therefore, students seeking guaranteed job prospects may want to explore alternative options. However, students interested in pursuing higher studies or research may find the college a suitable starting point.

Good Faculty and Campus Life, but Needs More Industry Exposure and Improved Facilities.
Placements: Magadh Mahila College has a placement rate of around 60-70%, with the highest package ranging from 3-5 LPA and the average package around 2-3 LPA. Top recruiters include TCS, Wipro, and HDFC Bank, offering roles in HR, marketing, and customer support. About 50-60% of students secure internships, mainly with firms like HDFC and Infosys.
Infrastructure: Magadh Mahila College offers good infrastructure with Wi-Fi, well-equipped labs, spacious classrooms, and a library with a wide range of books. The hostel provides basic facilities, decent food in the mess, and sports facilities, though some students feel improvements could be made in food quality and overall upkeep.
Faculty: The faculty at Magadh Mahila College is generally qualified and helpful, with good teaching quality, though some students feel more practical exposure could be provided. The course curriculum is relevant but may need more industry-focused updates to make students fully industry-ready. Semester exams are moderately challenging, with a decent pass percentage, though results can vary by batch and course.
Other: I chose my course at Magadh Mahila College for its academic reputation and supportive faculty. The campus offers good events and extracurricular activities, with a vibrant crowd, though practical exposure and industry interaction could improve. Connectivity is decent, and scholarships are available, but there’s room for improvement in overall facilities.

    Absolutely dissatisfied with college placements.
Placements: In my course, only about 5% of students are placed. No companies visit my college; placements are managed by Patna University on its own campus. The top roles for graduates primarily lie in the research field. The highest package is 2.25 LPA, while the lowest is 1.25 LPA. Unfortunately, no students have secured internships in my course.
Infrastructure: The facilities in my college are decent. Wi-Fi is available in the library and some areas near the staff room and principal's office. The labs are good, but not all equipment is available. Classrooms are quite small, although the library is well-stocked with books. The hostel facilities are also good, with a lift in Mahima Chatravas. However, the quality of food in both the mess and canteen is average and often unhygienic. Medical facilities are satisfactory, and sports and games are held regularly.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful in some instances, but not consistently. They are qualified but often reluctant to share their knowledge. While their teaching quality is good, there is a sense of laziness in explaining concepts to students. The course curriculum is relevant, but it does not adequately prepare students for industry roles. The semester exams are challenging, and you need to study hard to pass, as the pass percentage is only 33%.
Other: I chose this course because I want to pursue a career in research. The best aspect of my course is that it allows me to gain a deeper understanding of human beings. However, I wish to see improvements in placement opportunities, which are currently very poor. Events and festivals are organized regularly, and the campus crowd is quite large. Connectivity to the campus is good, and the surrounding area is average. Scholarships are offered by the Bihar government, and extracurricular activities are organized from time to time.

It was a Medium college, although the feels is low but it does not ensure you placements.
Placements: I enrolled in B.Sc. Zoology honours because I had opted for PCB in 11th grade. This course usually does not provide any placements and not a lot of companies visited my college. One can consider internships during college life which helps them in their future life. Students can get placement only after their master's.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my college is quite good. It has well-furnished classrooms libraries and labs. Usually, the benches are not so good. The library is open for all students. The hostels are very good except for the food they provide in the hostels.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and they are very much qualified. All of them are Ph.D. holders. Our course ensures to teach us about the animal life cycle and also about human genetics and life sciences. The semester exams are not very much tough.
Other: I chose this course because I could not clear my NEET exam. One more thing was that this college was close to my house. The college organises many fests and events which makes college life interesting.

Looking for M.M.C. ?, you are at the right place .
Placements: If you are looking for placement then this is definitely not it. The college does not provide placement often. Very few students get placed, especially in vocational courses. Companies do not visit very often. If you are preparing for competition, the answer is definitely yes.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are fully furnished with desk, table blackboard and smart board Labs are also available for B.Sc. students If I talk about hostel, M.M.C. has the best hostel ever Every facility is present, including food, snacks, lifts, B.Ed. mattresses, study tables and chairs, pillowsand almirah Rooms are very airy.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful They will clear all your doubts, even for the 10th time. They will support at every step. They will encourage you and motivate you Botany is one of the most valuable subjects. The difficulty level is okay for the semester exams Students can easily pass .
Other: Botany faculty is quite good here. You will have to perform labs, and you will have to go for field work Fests also held there, sports day etc. Held annually .

It is a good college. You can take a degree from here at a very low cost.
Placements: It is a good college; it gives students opportunities to uplift their talent and a lot more. Good academic facility. Good teachers. But the quality of teaching can be improved. It also has a great opportunity for students to grow and embrace It does not have ragging. Overall, it's good.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure can be improved. Had improper hygiene maintenance. The department library is poor, but the college library is okay. The hostel does not have good facilities either. The food is not good, nor is the hygiene in the mess. The washrooms have good hygiene. The hostel should provide a cooler for each room in the summer. Canteen food is okay.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. But the quality can be improved. Teachers are knowledgeable. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant. Yes, it makes the student industry ready. The level of the semester exams is moderate. Pass percentage is 35 and above. Overall, it is better.

The college is good but dissatisfied with college placements.
Placements: About 30% of only students are placed in my course. The placements are conducted by Patna University, and that is in campus placement. No companies are coming from outside in our course. Most roles offered in my course are teacher and researcher. The highest package of my course is 3.2 LPA and the lowest package is 1.85 LPA.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure at this college are average. The classrooms are average, and Wi-Fi is only available in the offices and nearby canteens, and even then the speeds are very low. The library is a good place to study, and the hostel facilities are good with all kinds of safety equipment. The food quality in the mess is not so good, and the canteen does not maintain good hygiene. Sports and games are held from time to time.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good because the teachers provide practical knowledge. However, the course curriculum is not relevant and does not prepare students for industry. The semester exams are very tough because the exam center is located at another college.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to go into research. The best thing about my course is that I get practical knowledge and we also do practical work. However, the syllabus needs to be improved, and more extracurricular activities should be offered. My college organizes many events, such as a college fest, freshers party, holi event, and dandiya nights. The campus is very crowded, but the connectivity is good, and the campus surroundings are very good, especially at night. The Bihar government provides a scholarship for students, and my college offers many extracurricular activities, such as gaming and searching.
