Q:   Is MIET Meerut good for MCA?

    A:
    {Source: MCA students & alumni}

Based on various reviews and feedback from current and former students, here's a summary of what we found:

    * Infrastructure: While some students mentioned that the infrastructure is poor, others praised the cleanliness and maintenance of the classrooms, library, and hostel facilities. Some issues include lack of proper lighting and ventilation in certain areas.

    * Teaching Quality: Teachers are generally considered helpful, knowledgeable, and supportive. However, some students felt that the faculty was inexperienced and lacked enthusiasm.

    * Course Curriculum: The course curriculum seems to be well-designed, with students appreciating the opportunity to learn industry-relevant skills. However, some students felt that the course load was heavy and the exams were challenging.

    * Placements: Unfortunately, the placement record for MCA students appears to be poor. Fewer companies seem to visit the campus for hiring MCA graduates compared to B.Tech students. While some students did report getting placed, the salaries were relatively low.

    * Overall Experience: Students appreciated the college's location, proximity to public transportation, and access to amenities like a gym and cafeteria. However, some complained about the quality of food and living conditions in hostels.

Here's a summary of the key findings:

    * Infrastructure is mixed, with some areas lacking proper maintenance.
    * Teaching quality is mostly positive, although some faculty may require improvement.
    * Course curriculum is well-designed, but the workload can be demanding.
    * Placement record for MCA students is concerning, with limited job opportunities and lower salaries.
    * Overall, students appreciate the college's location and amenities, but some aspects need improvement.

Keep in mind that individual experiences may vary, and it's essential to research thoroughly before making an informed decision about pursuing higher education at MIET Meerut.

Absolutely dissatisfied with the faculty and placements. Do not recommend MCA.
Placements: Before COVID, the placements were good. But ever since the management has changed, the placement scenario is quite bad. Technical companies prefer only B.Tech students and MCA students do not get placed. In my senior batch, only 10 students were placed and in mine to date, only 1.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is extremely poor. Classes don't even have proper lighting and ventilation. We are not allowed to use labs other than the assigned lab class, like school; there is no Wi-Fi, no AC (about which the management lies), and no seminar hall for MCA students. The only good thing is that washrooms are now renovated. (General) The canteen food is not good but bearable, though it could have been much better. There are two libraries, a basketball court and a garden. My friends stay in hostels, and as far as I heard from them, the food is terrible and the hostel doesn't provide coolers or AC in the summer. There is a playroom area in both the girls and boys hostels. Also, there are a lot of mosquitoes in the hostel.
Faculty: The college only worries about its profit and therefore they keep all recently graduated teachers (not Ph.D.s) with zero teaching experience. Since the faculty is the same age, they don't feel like teaching and are always chill. We were informed about the sessionals and PUT a week prior. Attendance is the only concern at college. All the experienced teachers are leaving the college. The students are given race marks in internal assignments if they have not submitted assignments and have less attendance.
Other: There are two events that happen in college: Rangostav and Kolahal (the annual day of college), both three-day events. The connectivity to college is fine and information about scholarships is circulated. For extracurricular activities, there are groups and societies that can be joined by the freshmen. I chose MCA hoping to get better placement but my expectations got shattered here. My suggestion to the college would be that it work on providing quality education rather than worrying about attendance.

    Nice College good experience .
Placements: Nice placement but not up to the mark. All companies comes in ranging 3-4 LPA only All companies came like infosys, TCS, etc. And you will get to interview in every company if you clear their selection crtieria. They supported student and gave information regarding the placement but they need to focus more in placement.
Infrastructure: Not good infra for MCA but good for B.Teach Building was very old. Classroom and washrooms are good and maintained but not upto the mark. Its your choice if u have tight budget then join if you want student are good and there is one cafe for lots of student which makes very time consuming at cafe.
Faculty: Faculty of college are good. Some professor left the college in between at my time but overall faculty is fine. They provide notes in PPT and send us in mail course curriculum is very normal not easy not hard Exam happens every month so be prepared whether it is semester exam or unit exam .
