Effectiveness of Placement Cell for B.Arch Courses at MNIT Jaipur

Based on the reviews and feedback provided by students and alumni, here's a summary of the effectiveness of the placement cell for B.Arch courses at MNIT Jaipur:

    * Zero Placements: Unfortunately, according to several students, the placement rate for B.Arch students is zero.
    * Practice-Based Course: One reason cited for this lack of placements is that B.Arch is a practice-based course, which means students typically work under other architects rather than being recruited directly by companies.

In conclusion, while the placement cell may be effective for other courses such as B.Tech, its performance appears to be limited for B.Arch students due to the nature of their program.

Firstly, very few people sit for campus placement for architecture course since many of them decide to go for off campus placement or higher studies.

Great campus life, improvement in placement in 2024, one of the best NITs in North India.
Placements: Placement in architecture do not have a great record compared to engineering. But it is definitely improving. This year, the median for architecture department was 6.5 LPA, which is decent. The average placement of the architecture department stands at 5.6 LPA. L&T and Godrej are the primary recruiters.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is where MNIT stands out. MNIT has great infrastructure with hostel facilities to accommodate every student, and the best part is that you get a single room from the 2nd year onwards. In every facility that a student requires, Wi-Fi is available in every department and in hostels. The quality of food in a mess varies from hostel to hostel.
Faculty: The curriculum is well designed, and the focus of faculty on practical knowledge is very good; it helps in our academics. Semester exams in architecture are not that difficult, but the work loads are quite heavy, so be prepared to work hard if you are opting for architecture.
Other: There are two festivals organised in a year, one technical and the other cultural. There are a variety of events happening at these festivals, and one could either participate in the event or be part of the organizing team, both of which come with a lot of experience and exposure, which would be very helpful in personality development.

All about Mnit Jaipur - course, fees, placements and faculty in course.
Placements: The best placement records in every branch. The average and highest packages increase every year and students also get pre-placement offers from many companies. In many branches, the percentage rate of placed students is around 90-100% and many students got the highest package.
Infrastructure: All facilities are provided in the hostel. Different types of hostels are provided for freshers students. In my opinion, Hostel 7 Drona is the best in terms of food and facilities. Also, different competitions are held between hostels and students in a friendly way.
Faculty: Experienced faculty members in the subject: many professors are graduates and teach very well in the classroom. Mostly, there are two exams in a semester, one in the middle of the semester and the final exam and individual sgpa and CGPA are obtained in the report: sgpa for semester-wise and CGPA for the whole year.
Other: There are some mandatory rules here: 75% attendance, good credit in every semester; there are two big fests: technical and cultural; and you must enjoy college life other than just studies .

All things are good but try to go Engineer field instead of architectural NIT colleges .
Placements: 1. About 75% of students get placed in different companies and architectural firms. 2. The highest package is 9 lacs, and the average package is about 4 lakh in architecture. 3. L&T companies, different architectural, design industries and firms are top recruiters. 4. Many of my seniors gain internships at different architectural firms and under many architects. 5. Junior architects, BIM specialists, etc. are the roles they offer.
Infrastructure: 1. All studios are covered with Wi-Fi facilities and the infrastructure is good. 2. Classrooms are old-style but okay. 3. Good architectural books and theses are available in the departmental library of architecture. 3. Hostels H14 Vinodini, Aurbindo, Gargi Archarya Bhawan, etc. are hostels in MNIT Jaipur. H14 Vinodini is a boys hostel with very good infrastructure. Acharya Bhawan is for professors and girls. Food quality is average.
Faculty: 1. Professors have excellent knowledge of their subjects. Very qualified professors, such as RNS, have good knowledge of their subject. Semester exams are not so hard if you complete your assignments and class work seriously. Overall, it is a good institute for pursuing architecture.
Other: Sphinx is the annual tech fest of MNIT Jaipur. Blintzslag is the annual cultural fest of MNIT, held in the month of September. At this fest, architectural students play a crucial role.

Our college provides good placements, infrastructure, and facilities.
Placements: Around 50% of students were placed. The average salary package is 7 LPA. Companies like L&T and Pinnacle offer placements. Top roles offered are architects, designers, construction managers, urban designers, interior designers, etc. Most of the students go for higher studies in India or in foreign.
Infrastructure: All the facilities and infrastructure are available like Wi-Fi, labs, library, furniture in department, equipment, etc. Hostel facilities are good with rooms, ambiance, etc. There are 2 people for each room in the first year and single rooms are provided later. Mess facilities and food are above average.
Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable and qualified from top colleges. They are architects at the same time. This course curriculum makes students capable and industry-ready. Semester exams are difficult which depends on the subject.
Other: I chose this course as it is different from B.Tech which requires determination and passion. As it is a national institute, we have different cultures, people, connectivity, fest, events, etc.

Good campus life and sports opportunities. Everything is above average.
Placements: 95% of the architecture students get placed. The average package is 4 LPA and the highest package offered is 7 LPA. All the students have to do internships in the 4th year’s eighth semester. Junior architects in India are paid this much only on an average, and it increases with experience.
Infrastructure: The studios do not have air conditioning and it gets very hot in the summers. Other than that, the facilities are good. The hostels also do not have AC, only coolers are allowed. Water and electricity supply is consistent and the mess food is also okay. There is a night canteen in the girls hostel. The end time is 10pm.
Faculty: Junior faculty is more engaging as there is a generation gap with the senior faculty's teaching methods. The curriculum is relevant and provides you experience to work under pressure. The examinations are moderate. Most students pass but the passing percentage could be said to be around 80%.
