Q:   How effective is the placement cell for B.Sc. courses at Mulund College of Commerce?

A:
{Source: B.Sc. students & alumni}

Effectiveness of the Placement Cell for B.Sc. Courses at Mulund College of Commerce

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's an overview of the effectiveness of the placement cell:

* Placement Statistics: Almost half of the batch gets placed through the course, with the highest package being INR2.5 lakhs, the lowest being INR1.75 lakh, and the average package being INR2 lakhs.
* Top Recruiters: Companies like Capgemini, Wipro, TCS, and various banks visit the campus for recruitment.
* Internship Opportunities: About 45% of students from the Computer Science (CS) department get internship offers from companies like Capgemini and Wipro.

It appears that the placement cell is relatively effective, with a decent number of students getting placed annually. However, it's worth noting that the placement cell is currently temporarily closed, and faculty members are providing references for internships that come their way.

Overall, while the placement cell seems to be doing reasonably well, there may be room for improvement to increase the number of placements and attract more top-tier recruiters.

Absolutely satisfied with the faculty and the events are happening in our college is great.
Placements: 1)Almost half of our batch placed through this course 2)the highest package is 2.5 Lacs the lowest is 1.75lakh and the average is 2 Lacs 3) Capgemini, Wipro, Tcs and various bank 4)45% of students got internship from CS in capgemini and wipro. Placement cell is very supportive.
Infrastructure: Yes my college have all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. Proper classrooms are there for students lab with all necessary materials. A well maintained library with good books. Yes my college have all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment.
Faculty: Excellent Professors with great experience are alloted in every single class. Yes, students sometimes face behaviour issues with faculty but everyone can not be perfect or be as we like them to be. Overall it's a great faculty. Yes it makes the students industry ready. Semester exam is not that difficult if you study well and do well in your practical exam. Passing percentage was 85%.
Other: I choose this course because I have interest in coding and to learn new things about coding and machine learning. There's nothing to improve about this course. College is full of different event, fest and many more things. There are many fest from every department. The main fest is spectrum. The energy of this fest is unmatchable. There so many Extracurricular Activities and the college provides gym khana too.

Syllabus is up to date and Teaching is nice. Placements are okay, Extracurricular is good.
Placements: I haven't know the placement of Data Science but for IT there are Placements in Startups and I have heard that at the start of 3rd year students are getting placements and internships in some Start Ups. Talking about companies so for IT there are Wipro, TCS, Tech Mahindra etc.
Infrastructure: There no hostel but ya library and It lab is decent canteen is also good you have alot of options there. Talking about campus so it's not good very small campus and there no ground instead of that they have a turf for football and cricket. There is a gym and some games.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and they are well qualified. Mcc teachers know what to teach to add value in your syllabus and it's well designed syllabus atleast for data Science students. Syllabus is updated cause they were teaching us Jason and R programing which are new programming languages. So the curriculum is relevent and there are 2units test and then a semister. Semister exam are on the syllabus and the passing is 40%. .

Honest review for Mcc College, Mumbai.
Placements: No, this year there were no placements on the college campus. There is a placement cell present in the college, but it is temporarily closed. Faculty members said that they will give references for internships that come to them, but yet no such internship opportunities have come to us.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available for the course are just a classroom, a practical lab, and a library. There is no hostel present on the college campus or any hostel combined with the college. All the students are almost local, and some people who are not from the city have to take a PG.
Faculty: Faculty members were well-qualified for teaching us. They were very helpful and friendly with the students. This curriculum does not make students industry-ready because it teaches subjects that are outdated in the industry. Exams were held semester-wise, and the passing percentage is 40%.
Other: The only reason for choosing this course was the market captured by the IT industry: good salary and average work time. Improvement in the course is needed in including subjects that are useful in the industry. Various fests were organized over the year by many departments, and the main fest was "Spectrum," which was the biggest among all and was organized in the months of December and January. Scholarships were given on the basis of merit.

Mulund College of Commerce is a well known and reputed college.
Placements: Almost 60-70% of students were placed in my course. The highest salary package offered in my course was 4 LPA and the lowest salary package offered in my course was 2.5 LPA. The top recruiting companies for my course are TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available in our course and in our department are very good and systematic. There are two computer labs for our department. They are very neat, clean, and properly managed. The quality of food available in the canteen is neither so good nor so bad, its average.
Faculty: All the teachers of our department are well qualified in their respective fields and profession. The course curriculum is very much relevant in today's corporate work. The difficulty level in our college for the semester exams is moderate. The passing percentage in our course is 50%.
Other: I selected this course because of my interest in IT. The best thing is that you get to earn more about computer application and system. There are many IT-related events with great crowds.

I am satisfied because of its faculty members.
Placements: The placement for our year is online. Two companies came Deloitte and some other company also, and not many students are selected. Just 10 students from each company are placed. The roles offered by this course are PHP developer, ethical hacker, and full stack developer.
Infrastructure: One room is assigned to our class. It has a projector and a blackboard. Students do have a practical laboratory which consists of 60 PCs. It provides 2 laboratories and sports are not given attention while pursuing computer science as the curriculum is huge.
Faculty: The teaching staff is good and knowledgeable. They do help students with any difficulty they face. The course does not make students industry-ready. The industry needs are all different, what they teach is some basic stuff. To apply it in industrial life students need to make an extra effort.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted my career to be in its field and I had decided that I wanted to do computer science after my 12th. If they teach something more related to industrial work that would be helpful to everyone.

The faculty is good in the Computer Science department; they are very supporting and well educated.
Placements: I was from the 2020–2023 batch. The cutoff for B.Sc. computer science was 50% in 12th grade. In my batch, there was a recession, so no company came for placement, but past that, there were various companies that came for placement. In short, it gives pretty good placement in the B.Sc. computer science course.
Infrastructure: There were no hostel facilities available in MCC College, and the college infrastructure is pretty good; they provide Wi-Fi and have good labs, but some keyboards and some PCs sometimes do not work. The library facilities are pretty good and have good setting arrangements and a good environment to study in.
Faculty: The faculty members of this college are good. They are very supportive and educated. The faculty of my course are well educated and supportive. And in computer science, it almost covers every subject related to industry, from basic to advanced. It's pretty good.
Other: They have good fest which includes techno, soch, etc.
