Good but think twice before you opt the course.
Placements: Although all the students are placed where they want due to the credibility of being a doctor, which never fades. The highest salary may range from 30,000 per month to 3 lakhs per month, depending on the skill set of the individual. The top recruiting companies include Dabur, Patanjali, AYUSH, and other ayurvedic product-based companies. Many students studying here will either open a clinic or join a hospital. Some of them also work in top ayurvedic companies, and the college has a reputation for producing good medicine.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi facility for students in our college, although you can use the digital library. The infrastructure is average and not the best. The labs need improvement, but the classrooms are well-equipped with air conditioning and projectors. The education is taught well, and hostel facilities are provided, with better facilities for girls than boys. The quality of food in the canteen is average, and evening snacks are prepared decently. The college encourages sports and games, but due to the lack of infrastructure, there is no ground on the campus. Students need to go to Manipal Lake for playing games; there is only one shuttle badminton court in the Buddha auditorium and two table tennis boards. Indoor games like chess and carrom are also available. The college provides all necessary medical facilities for students.
Faculty: The teachers here are well-qualified and knowledgeable. They provide insights on all subjects needed for examination preparation and life. The teaching quality is above average, with some departments excelling in this regard. The excellence in teaching is evident even in the seminars provided by the college on regular occasions. Examinations are conducted once every 6 months for each class, with occasional classes in between. All guidelines and holidays are based on the regulations of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. The examinations here are generally easy to moderate, depending on the teacher who sets the question paper. The passing percentage for examinations is a minimum of 50%. We have two papers for all subjects except for Sutrasthana and Sanskrit. To pass, students need to score at least 50% in all exam papers.
Other: Ayurveda is the ancient science of India, renowned worldwide for its excellence. Though this degree may have less credibility compared to Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, it offers a better approach to treatment than modern medicine. Improvement in facilities like infrastructure and auditorium space is necessary for the betterment of the college. The events conducted by the college are generally good, with occasional minor issues. The college's location surrounded by an industrial area is not ideal for an Ayurvedic college, but good insulation in classrooms minimizes outside noise. All scholarships and student loans are applicable to college fees and can be used to pay them.
