I would give it an overall rating of 3.
Placements: Students of M.Pharma usually get placements; B.Pharma is quite less. I would say 10% or less. Top companies include Himalaya, Cipla, Lake, and Optum. 30% of internships are given in pharmaceutical companies as medical representatives or scientists. Other good jobs are also available.
Infrastructure: Coming to the college campus, it's quite small; there is minimal space inside, and there is no ground. There is all the facility, but there is less space. Senior lectures are not good, while juniors are good at teaching. Teachers provide good information regarding the studies; they are very supportive.
Faculty: Teachers are extremely knowledgeable. The courses provided are relevant and good, and they do make students well versed in industry things. The semester system is not good, as we cannot learn everything deeply; all we learn is briefly. The pass percentage is 70%.
Other: I chose this course as it comprises biology and is related to health; it is the next option after medical. It would be better if they updated the course regarding the ongoing equipment they use in industry. The college fest is good; faculty members and the college provide a good environment for celebration sports, culture days, and many more. There is a good relationship between teachers and students; teachers are very supportive.

Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharma.) - Batch of 2022

It is a good college and I am much satisfied with it.
Placements: Placements are not provided in this college.
Infrastructure: Our college does not provide hostel facilities but it has a very good library, classrooms, etc., with good infrastructure.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are experts in their field. They have very good knowledge but some of them are not able to teach students much effectively. The Board of Karnataka does not make proper schedules for D.Pharma students. Exams and result declaration dates are not properly provided.
Other: Our course is good. Board of Karnataka is not good. Students with 60% in academics are eligible to join this college.

Satisfied with the faculty, the college, and everything.
Placements: More than 80 percent of students are placed. The highest average package is 6 lakh per annum, and the lowest is 4 lakh per annum. Pharma companies like Micro Optum and other companies are available, and we can go to some coding companies; that's it about National College of Pharmacy.
Infrastructure: National College of Pharmacy, Shimoga, has great infrastructure, including well-equipped laboratories and a great library full of books. I think there are enough books for all the students in the college. I don't live in the hostel, but the college mess and canteen are good, and the medical facilities are also good. There are also great sports facilities, including cricket, and we participate in cultural activities, which is also very good.
Faculty: I don't think the curriculum prepares students for the industry. The semester exams in college are very difficult compared to other courses, with a pass percentage of 50%. Teachers are very helpful and qualified, and their knowledge is commendable. The teaching quality is above average but can be improved.
Other: I chose this course because it was the best option for me. The improvement I need in my course is that the laboratory exams should be held before the theoretical exams of the semester. Events in our college are very good, and the connectivity and surroundings are also nice. Overall, the extracurricular activities are good for everything.
