Q:   What are the various factors that determine NIFT cut off?

A:

NIFT cutoff depends on variables like: seat matrix, category of the candidate, total applications, category, Common Merit Rank (CMR) of the candidate in NIFT 2025, and the popularity (or ranking) of the institute. If any of these variables changes, the cut-off would also change. For instance, if the number of applicants goes up, the cut off would also go up. On the contrary, if the number of applicants is low, the cut-off would stay on the lower side. Candidates planning to appear in the NIFT 2025 exam may consult the previous years cut-of for the exam to get an idea as to what is a safe score or admission. When checking the cutoff, it is important to however refer to ones own category.

Our campus is very beautiful.
Placements: NIFT does not offer good placements. The average salary package offered ranges from 5 LPA to 6 LPA. Internships are also offered in our course.
Infrastructure: Only the AD laboratory is not good but others are good. We have a very good FD laboratory. Hostels are better. The food served in the mess is average. The canteen is also good. Our campus is huge compared to all other campuses. We have a basketball court, a badminton court, and a small football ground.
Faculty: Faculty members are helpful. They are always ready to help us with our doubts. They also help us with internships. The jury is not strict but assignments are never-ending.
Other: I opted for this course because of my interest in it.

I am not satisfied with the mess food of our college.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi facility is not good on campus. In some places, Wi-Fi works, at some places, it doesn't work. Classrooms are air-conditioned. The library is good. Hostels are not in a good condition. Only one refrigerator is available for the entire hostel on the ground floor. We have washing machines and a microwave. Mess food is not good. Every time, there is a crowd during lunchtime. The canteen food is quite fine.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful, qualified, supportive, and knowledgeable. They always encourage students. The curriculum is well-planned and executed. You can give time to explore many things yourself. We don't have semester exams, instead, there are juries who prepare you for the industry. In the 1st year, we had four batches. The course is the same for all 1st-year students. It includes the fundamentals for our upcoming semesters. In 2nd year, you get into your department, study, and explore all about that field of your interest.

Best faculty, good placements, amazing infrastructure and one of the best design colleges in India.
Placements: Our placement results were significantly better than anticipated with more than 80% placement rate & an average pay of 3-4.5LPA. The students were employed by a variety of export businesses, design studios, design houses and startups. Some have even started their own brands.
Infrastructure: With the largest & totally residential campus of any NIFT center, this college boasts the best infrastructure. Sports, indoor gaming, & round-the-clock Wi-Fi are just a few of our many attractions. The classrooms & textile labs are also well-equipped.
Faculty: The faculty members here are quite experienced, well informed & always eager to provide their pupils with support & guidance needed. For increased exposure, the programme offers numerous industry visits that provide great hands-on experience to the students.
Other: Every year, the college organizes two fests, spectrum & converge. Ten student societies & four student groups operates beneath it.

The institute makes us creative and it boosts our self esteem.
Placements: Average placement this year was around 4-5 LPA as NIFT gives 100% placements. It all depends on your portfolio, better portfolio means better placement. Companies such as Arvind Mill, Peter England, Lifestyle, Ikea, Flipkart, Tarun Tehlani and many more come for placements. While pursuing textile you can get jobs such as textile designer, fashion forecaster, stylist, fashion designer, screen printing designers, surface designer, home and space expert, fashion expert and many more.
Infrastructure: NIFT Jodhpur is a residential campus. One of the largest campuses of NIFT. AC rooms, huge library, Wi-Fi, labs with ample amount of equipments, stationary, canteens, general store, gardens, open theatre, sports area, medical rooms, etc. are available.
Faculty: All the classes are highly practical based and interactive which boosts personality development of a student. Each faculty is highly qualified and helpful. Jodhpur is the textile hub so we get a lot of industry experience and exposure to real textile world. All the semester exams are in some or the other way creative, my course is all about creativity.
Other: My best life spent till now has to be in NIFT Jodhpur campus. I have grown as a person so much and my developmental skills like communication, presentation, fitness and being creative have improvised. The best part about being in NIFT is to get to witness the "Spectrum", the biggest fashion fest to showcase our talents.

The infrastructure is well maintained. Hostel facilities are available for both boys and girls.
Placements: Every student is assigned a mentor to help him/her out in approaching industries and provide them with internships and placements. They happen only in four or five campuses of NIFT like Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore. More than 90% of the students have been placed at an average package of 3.6 LPA whereas the internship takes place in Daman, Bangalore, Delhi, etc.
Infrastructure: AC hostels are available for girls. Boys hostels don't have AC, and they only have coolers. From this year, they are even going to provide boys hostel only till the second year. The canteen has okay food, the menu could have been larger. Hostel rooms are simple, with nothing fancy about them.
Faculty: We have a jury system of examination which is great. The faculty members are amazing and experienced. They come from premium design colleges in India like NID and NIFT. All the campuses of NIFT are connected. There are 2 fests conducted in the college every year, one is called spectrum which is an inter-college competition for state colleges, and another is converging in which all NIFT centers participate.
