Q:   Is Nayagarh College good for B.Sc.?

    A:
    {Source: B.Sc. students & alumni}

Here's what current students and alumni have to say:

    * Teaching: Most students agree that the teachers are well-educated, knowledgeable, and helpful. They provide good quality teaching and are approachable.
    * Course Content: While some students feel that the course content is not sufficient for preparing students for corporate jobs, others appreciate how it prepares them for competitive exams like NEET and GATE.
    * Infrastructure: The college has a well-equipped computer lab, digital classrooms, and a library. Hostel facilities are also available, although some students mention that the food could be improved.
    * Placements: Unfortunately, placements are limited in this course. Only around 20-25% of students get placed annually, and the salary packages are generally lower compared to other institutions.
    * Internships: Some students have reported getting internships, but these are not guaranteed.
    * Student Life: The college has a lively atmosphere with regular events and fests. Students enjoy participating in co-curricular activities and interacting with peers.
    * Career Prospects: Physics Honors students who choose to pursue careers in research or academia may find opportunities in reputed institutions. Those planning to enter government services may also benefit from studying physics.

Overall, while Nayagarh College has its strengths, students looking for lucrative placement options might want to consider alternative institutions. Nevertheless, those interested in pursuing a career in research or academia may still find the college suitable for their needs.

[Note: These responses are based on the aggregated feedback from students and alumni. While the majority of respondents have expressed positive views, it is essential to weigh these against potential drawbacks.]

All teachers are good, and their teaching styles are wonderful.
Placements: Students who fulfilled the selection criteria can be placed in TEC company. Salary packages of up to 5 LPA are offered by the companies in our college. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Vedanta and many more visit our college to recruit students. Students got roles like software engineer and network engineer also.
Infrastructure: A well-developed computer lab is available in our department for students. All classrooms and labs are enabled with Wi-Fi and digital screens. The quality of food served is very good in our hostel. All sports are available in our hostel to play like cricket, football, etc.
Faculty: All teachers here are very highly qualified and experienced. Their quality of teaching was also good. They prepared students for the IT industry and guided us for our future studies. All the exams are very strictly conducted, and the results will be published on the college website.
Other: I am interested in the role of a software engineer, so I chose this course. The best thing here is there is a placement cell in our college for students. Every department organises its own event once a year.

The campus has a simple and good environment.
Placements: There are no placements for any subject. No companies come to the college. You have to apply off-campus if interested. Self-motivation and knowledge are important for placements. The course content is not so much helpful for corporate jobs.
Infrastructure: The faculty members are good, and their teaching capabilities are not good but informative and acceptable. The computer lab is quite good, and all software are available required for practicals according to course content. Wi-Fi is available. I don't know about the hostel because I am a day scholar.
Faculty: The teachers are knowledgeable and helpful. The course content is good, and it is helpful in NEET and GATE preparation. The course content doesn't make the students industry-ready.
Other: This is the best college in my district. The best things are the college and teachers. If placements are provided, then it is more helpful for students.

This college is good, and I am satisfied with our department.
Placements: About 70% of the students got placed in various top companies of India like TCS, Cognizant, etc. You can expect a minimum salary of Rs. 30,000 per month and the highest salary offered is Rs. 1,50,000 per month. About 85% of the students got internships in various companies. Top roles offered in this course are software developer, software tester, etc.
Infrastructure: This department has 2 high-level computer labs with a high-speed internet connection. The campus is entirely Wi-Fi enabled. Classrooms are pretty good. It also has a library and it is pretty good. Hostel facility is available and quality of food served is also good. Medical facility is available near the college.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is very high. This course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are tough in college. The pass percentage is nearly 85%.
Other: I chose this course as it supports me in my career. As we know this is the age of computers so it will help me a lot in my life. All the government and private scholarships are available here.

I suggest you join here just for the study. Placements are not good but will be improved in future.
Placements: About 80% of the students from our course got placed in placements, and they got a salary package of about 2.4 LPA. Companies like Wipro and Vedanta visit our college for recruitment. Students get roles like software developer and software engineer.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was very good until now. All classrooms are enabled with Wi-Fi, and there is a lab for our computer science department. Hostels are good to stay, but the food served in the hostel is not much good.
Faculty: All the teachers here are very good, responsive and also helpful in nature. They are very helpful to students and complete all the subjects at the respective time. The teaching quality of all teachers is also very good. Teachers help students to be highly able to achieve their future goals and guide them until they get jobs.
Other: I love to be a software engineer, so I chose this course. Many extracurricular activities are conducted in leisure time.

It's the best college for studying, and I like this college.
Placements: Not many companies come for placements. About 2 to 3 companies come here, like Wipro, Vedanta etc. In our batch, about 5 to 6 students got selected for placements, and the roles offered are software engineer, software developer etc. The package offered is about 2.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: Our department has a big computer lab for doing assignments, and the lab has good computers and new technologies. Every floor of our college has Wi-Fi facilities for students. Hostels are the best for students, but there are some issues like poor food quality. Everything else is good.
Faculty: All the teachers are well educated and well behaved. The teaching quality is very good for students. The teachers prepare the students not only for semesters but also for the IT sector. The pass percentage of our college is 90% in the semester exam.
Other: Since I have an interest in the IT sector, I chose this course at Nayagarh College. Every department has its own fest, and the annual fest is conducted at the end of the semester.

Our college is awesome with certain minimal lacks.
Placements: Students who scored more than 70% in their academics are pursuing the course. As it is not an engineering college, there are no placements and salary packages offered to students. Certain students qualify for the IITs and IISCs. A few go for the technical and private sector, but most of the students go for other higher studies.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility was not available for students. Wi-Fi was mostly used for official work. The hostel is average rather than great. Classrooms are simple enough. The canteen is hygienic, and they also serve good food. Well designed equipment and practical labs are available. The library is also good, and there is no issue in drinking water.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are well qualified for the profession as most of the teachers are qualified from JNU, and IITs. The syllabus is quite good and well mentioned. However, that is not enough for the private sector.
