Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) - Batch of 2025

Good in all possible ways so join our college.
Placements: Nearly 60-70% of students are placed in our college. The highest package is 26 LPA, and the lowest is 3.5 LPA. Companies like Wipro, Accenture, CDW, Mindtree, and more recruit here. Most of the students get internships at Mindtree, and some in cybersecurity at other companies. That's all about the course.
Infrastructure: For boys, hostel facilities are not available. Girls have good hostel facilities. There is very good infrastructure for BCA students, with highly accommodating labs and libraries. Good Wi-Fi facilities are available in the college. There is also support for those interested in sports.
Faculty: The faculty in our college is extremely good. They explain concepts in an easy way for students to understand and make students industry-ready. In our college, we have 3 internal assessments and semester exams. The exam pattern is good, and it is easy to get good marks in semester exams.
Other: This course is the same as engineering but easier. The subjects are a little similar, like programming languages. Understanding the programs is easy. Our college conducts fests and events and extracurricular activities.

I would recommend next-gen people to opt for this college for better opportunities and placements.
Placements: Almost 200 students were placed out of 240 students. The highest package was 6 LPA from SAP company. Top recruiting companies included Wipro, Cognizant, Capgemini, Deloitte, Accenture, EY, and many more. The roles we got were in operations, both technical and non-technical.
Infrastructure: Labs were provided with the utmost facilities. The food in the hostel was excellent and speechless, with a very clean and hygienic environment. The college really encouraged us in both curriculum and co-curricular activities. In total, the college offers 100% opportunities to students.
Faculty: The faculty in the college was very knowledgeable and able to clear the questions we had. The curriculum was really good, teaching upcoming programming languages like Java, Python, etc. The exams covered the topics explained in class.
Other: I chose this course for better placement opportunities. I suggest making the fees per year a bit less so that almost everyone can afford it. Events in the college were next level—no words to explain those.

BCA: Not an Industry-Ready Course.
Placements: We are 400 students and only 250 were placed, so it would be 62%, I guess. The highest package was 6 LPA and the lowest was 1.8 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Deloitte, TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, NTT Data, Mindtree, Emphasis, Ernst and Young, etc. From our 400-student batch, only 30 of us got the internship, so I would say 7%. Top roles offered are Trainee Associate, BPO, and Trainee Analyst.
Infrastructure: The classrooms, labs, and library were well maintained, and all classrooms and labs also had projectors; only labs had AC. The library was decent. There is no hostel for this college, but there is a canteen which is good and has the best Mysore bhaji, masala dosa, and bond with sambhar. Sometimes I visit the canteen for the bhaji. Medical facilities: None. Sports events happen every year.
Faculty: The teachers were helpful and qualified. They were capable of handling queries. They may seem harsh but were kind when grading. The course doesn't make the student industry-ready and barely scratches the surface. The semester exams are pretty easy if you sit through at least 60% of the classes and can handle the syllabus one day before too. But I would recommend that if you're skipping the classes, try to invest in some internship or projects that may help you. The pass percentage is almost 99%. It's a pretty easy course if you are a decent student.
Other: I strictly wanted to pursue my career in the software industry and was not interested in hardware stuff, so I chose BCA. One improvement I would like to see may be the subjects trying to focus more on the things that make the student industry-ready. There were regular events on a weekly basis and were quite fun and entertaining, and every 2-3 months, the big events were a delight to be a part of, whether they be related to coding, gaming, or talent.

P.C.Jabin Science College, Karnataka.
Placements: Some 10% of students get placed in B.Sc., which is far better than other colleges for B.Sc. Companies like Nestlé, ITC, and Dabur come here for placements. Compared to other colleges, this is good news, with an average placement of 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is wonderful, but there is no hostel; you have to stay in a PG outside. Classrooms are awesome, and since it comes under KLE Society, it has numerous grounds for football, hockey, basketball, badminton, table tennis, and a gymkhana.
Faculty: Teachers here are helpful and very interactive. They are knowledgeable. Since this is an autonomous college, exams are prepared by the college only, which are then verified by the university. Exams are always conducted very strictly; if you're thinking of copying, it is impossible.
Other: I chose PCM because it has better scope compared to other courses in the B.Sc. stream. The college here is good, and I’m enjoying it.

The teachers are helpful and 90% of the students are placed in top companies in my batch
Placements: 90% of the students are placed in top companies in my batch. The highest package was of 4 LPA. The lowest package was of 1.85 LPA. The top recruiting companies are TCS, DELOITTE, ACCENTURE, WIPRO, INFOSYS, MPHASIS, NTT data, SAP, MINDTREE, E&Y, CAPGEMINI and more.
Currently we had only one opportunity for unpaid internship in CEVI which is related to SAMSUNG and almost everyone was selected for the internship. The roles offered are almost same, that are Associate trainee, Software developer trainee and Data analyst fresher etc.
Infrastructure: The college premise is clean and maintained-well and has lot of facilities like library and labs which we can use whenever we want for reasonable stuff. The labs are also well-maintained and has the capacity to fit 20-25 students in one lab. There is no hostel facility but we do have a canteen in which I got hair in my meal twice and I complained it to the owner and he accepted it and apologized and after that it never happened again. The sports event is conducted every year on a large scale ( for 3-4 days) and the sports that are allowed are volley ball, high jump, cricket, Tug of war etc. ( Note this that our college changes the rules and regulations every year and I can't guarantee that the same thing will be available for you too when you join).
Faculty: The teachers are helpful and, they take care of individual student. They help students in guiding them in the right direction. The college environment is quite strict and free at the same time and I don't know how the industry environment is but I can say that the events and seminars can help to understand the industry a little bit.
