Is B.Com at PMB Gujarati Commerce College Worth the Investment?

Based on the feedback from students and alumni, here's what we've gathered:

    Placement Records
    * Placements are limited, and most companies don't visit the college for campus recruitment.
    * Only a few students manage to secure jobs through external efforts.
    * The average salary package offered is around INR3-5 LPA, with the highest being INR10-15 LPA.
    * Top recruiting companies include TCS, Amazon, Paytm, etc.

    Course Relevance
    * The B.Com course is considered outdated and not industry-ready.
    * The curriculum is easy to complete, allowing students to finish in just 15 days of preparation.
    * Not recommended for those seeking a competitive edge in the job market.

    College Infrastructure
    * The college has decent facilities, including a basketball court, volleyball court, football court, dance room, badminton court, gym, lab, computer lab, and canteen.
    * However, the library lacks Wi-Fi connectivity, and the classrooms are not well-equipped.

    Teaching Quality
    * Professors are generally experienced and knowledgeable, but lack serious attention towards completing the syllabus.
    * The college does not prioritize timely completion of the syllabus.

    Overall Assessment
While PMB Gujarati Commerce College may offer good studies at a relatively low cost, its limitations in terms of placements, relevance, and infrastructure may lead to a subpar return on investment for students. Those considering B.Com at this college should weigh the pros and cons carefully.

Hardly any student enrols for internships in any companies, so I can say that campus placements in our college are very bad.

Absolutely satisfied because of good faculty and facilities offered by the college.
Placements: On average, 80% of students get the placement in the B.Com course from PMB Gujrati Commerce College with the moderate payout of 4-5 lakhs p.a., which peaks up to 6 lakhs p.a. The top roles a student gets after doing b.com are basic accountant and can get into insurance and banking-like fields too.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is average and is kind of a cultural building. The overall infrastructure is like an old architectural building as the college is too old but yet they maintain cleanliness and also the facilities, such as facilitated classrooms and library full of books.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, educated, and well qualified; almost every faculty member is a PhD holder in their respective subjects and is always ready to help students and guide them. The course offered is relevant for students who want to get into the corporate world and make them ready at their initials with clearing their basics. The passing percentage of B.Com. is 90%, yet the exams get tough with successive semesters.
Other: I personally chose this course as this would help me with the core corporate culture and how the business industry basically works. The college is perfect, providing a friendly and helpful environment for students. The college conducts many events during the year, with splashing in the joy of festivals on the students and annual fest of PMB is famous for the cultural fest.
