Patna women's college review : pros, cons and everything in between .
Placements: Placements have started last year, so the placement percentage is a bit low. The highest package is 8.5 lacs.
The lowest package is 4.5 lacs.
Top recruitment companies are Vedanta, Tata Steel, Byju's, etc. Since I'm a first-year student, I haven't applied for any internships but heard from seniors that the college provides decent internships.
Infrastructure: We do have Wi-Fi, labs, and wide classrooms and a library with all sorts of books—academic, non-academic, fictional, non-fiction—it's kind of amazing. Haven't opted for a hostel but heard from some of my friends that the wardens are kind of strict but the food is very good.
Faculty: The teachers are highly experienced with at least 25 years of teaching institute in not only our college but from other reputated colleges of India. The semester exams are not very tough, like if you have paid attention to the class and the teachers, they will not be very difficult to pass.
Other: Virasat is one of the fests of three days, which includes outsiders for 2 days. Day one is for the college students only. No outsiders are allowed. The second day we have some very interesting competition' and finally the third day we have a concert. We do have scholarships that are provided to the first-year students.

The students life at Patna Science College.
Placements: The placement system at the college is so poor. The students learning here have to prepare for the general competition along with their college studies. But some students prepare for IIT JAM, get placed in different IITs for their Masters and get placement from there.
Infrastructure: The college has all the departments related to science, and each department has its own library. The whole campus is Wi-Fi-supported. Every department has its own laboratory with plenty of instruments and instructors. There is a canteen with good breakfast and lunch available.
Faculty: The faculty members are well qualified and experienced. They are also helping in nature. The staff is also polite; they listen to the students and work for them. The professors provide notes to the students. The exams are conducted semester-wise over six months.

Moderately satisfied with the college due to the 0% placement rate.
Placements: There is no placement rate (0%) in the EVS department; it's a simple B.Sc. degree. There is no internship program, but you must be active in seeking opportunities from external sources such as Stone NGO or government sites. This will help you gain experience and build your career.
Infrastructure: Fully functional labs with working equipment are available, and Wi-Fi is accessible. The classrooms are quite nice and clean with great infrastructure. The library is fully functional, allowing you to study as many hours as you want. The hostel is good, but ragging occurs, with quality food provided. Medical facilities are available, and sports and games are conducted at the intra-college level.
Faculty: Teachers are Ph.D. qualified, and some are M.Sc. Wuali with great knowledge and easy explanations. A lot of practice is involved in this course, which might help you at the industry or research level. Exams are not very difficult, with a total of 6 semesters over 3 years.
Other: EVS is a course with future demands, as many countries are now using renewable resources, and countries like India need to manage their waste. Thus, there is a need for environmentalists. I hope our college considers campus placements, or the Bihar government starts prioritizing the future of students.

Satisfied with the faculty.
Placements: Overall, about 20 to 30 percent of the students get placed in our course. The highest package offered in this course is 5 lacs per annum and the lowest package is 2 lacs per annum. The top recruiting companies are Tata Steel and Jindal Steel.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available at this college are so good, along with the Wi-Fi available on campus. Science labs are available for experiments and classrooms are large in size. The overall environment of the college is good. Many sports events are organized in the college where the students can take part and show their talents.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, highly qualified and knowledgeable, because of which their teaching quality is really commendable. This course curriculum is relevant but it doesn't make the students industry ready so everyone has to go for a Masters to get better opportunities.

Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) - Batch of 2022

I would not recommend this college to anyone.
Placements: First of all, if you are coming to Patna Science College to do BCA, make your mind up, as there is no placement cell in the college and not even a single company visits the campus. Earlier, Wipro used to come but currently, there is no company. Students apply off-campus. So there is neither an internship offer provided by the college nor an on-campus placement. You have to go for off-campus drives only.
Infrastructure: Earlier, the labs were pathetic; old-school PCs were in the labs, but now the lab facility has improved; all new PCs are brought with i5 and the latest generation. Earlier, the infrastructure was pathetic but now there is a new department made specifically for the vocational course students so all the classrooms are very new and feel nice but they are now up to the mark. The university itself has a good library with a lot of books available for students to read. I have some idea about the hostel as I live I Patna but I can suggest that if you have a lot of money problems, then only go for the hostels as they are not up to the mark as I have heard and seen.
Faculty: The teachers there are very helpful, I can say about this. They are knowledgeable and very cooperative; if you are serious about getting jobs and have the will to study, they will help you a lot. There are some teachers who will make you fall in love with coding. The course curriculum is very good, just like B.Teach students. It includes all the trending technologies like web development, android, big data, etc. The exams were of moderate difficulty; if you study regularly, you will have no problem getting good marks. The CJPA system works here and you will have to go to other Patna University colleges like BN college, Law College, Patna College, etc. To give your semester exams and passing percentage, I guess it is around 4.5 cgpa.
Other: I chose to go for a BCA from Patna Science College so that I can develop my core strength in my home town and go for an MCA after graduation in other cities. The biggest thing they should add is the placement cell to the college and do coding events, etc. To make college life interesting. There is not much of a college life here, so if you only want to get a BCA degree from a highly known college and can apply for off-campus placement, then you are welcome here.

Decent Infrastructure with good faculty.
Placements: I have seen the recruiters during the placement season and packages they offer are not really that much high paying. It totally depends on the person appearing for the interview. Many students get paid as well as unpaid internships. The placement cell really helps a lot to the students to get internships.
Infrastructure: Great campus, good infrastructure. Faculty is very supportive and understanding. Sports team is very open minded, no ragging in the college and great placement records one of the best college in Patna university in terms of campus size, campus placement and the crowd .
Faculty: The curriculum is covered with the latest topics which are in the world giving a major experience to the students. The difficulty of semester exams is also moderate, and passing percentage is 70 percent, making the passing criteria also achievable.
