Review of Pt. Chiranji Lal Sharma Government College.
Placements: I'm in government college, so there is limited placement. I don't have any idea what's the highest, lowest, or average package, but in the final year, companies came, and an exam was conducted by them to check the knowledge and also take an interview to check their confidence.
Infrastructure: We have best library and canteen with all the facilities and motivated faculty and staff. Hostel Mess provides a varied menu of vegetation and non-vegetarian food for both, is good in quality, and also has good medical facilities, sports and games, and NSS and NCC camps.
Faculty: There are 6 semesters in 3 years. The college exams were held semester-wise 2 times in a year, once in the month of January and another in the month of May or June. The minimum mark to get a pass in exams is 27 without assessment. Teachers give assessments out of 20.

Absolutely disappointed because of teachers and staff.
Placements: In the name of placement, this college gives you a big dream; they must fool the children at a time of admission, and after admission, they told you that there was no placement for your degree. After completing your degree, they just take your number and do not tell the students about the company placements.
Infrastructure: If talking about infrastructures, I give only 3 stars because of a new block or an auditorium; considering this, the infrastructure of this college is below poor. The building is very old, the walls are dirty, and students use pens and cameras on the walls, among other things. All the basic facilities, like the Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, etc. are available but are in poor condition.
Faculty: Some teachers of this college are highly qualified, while some of them are bad at it, not in the sense of teaching but at talking. The principle of this college is very abusive towards girls and boys both. Some teachers do not come to class for teaching, while some of them cancel their lectures.
Other: In this college, a lot of events are organized that are only for students brain development.

Good for less fees but bad for placement opportunities.
Placements: There were around 400+ students placed in my course. Last year, an ICICI bank recruiter visited my college to recruit students. A total of 8 students got placed with an average package of 2.5 Lacs. I don't know about the highest package correctly, but it will be around 4 to 5 Lacs. After COVID, not big companies visit here to recruit. Last year, ICICI Bank came to recruit. You will hardly find internships here; you have to find and do internships on your own. The accountant role is the top role in my course.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good but needs to improve. There is Wi-Fi but only provides 34 MB. There are well-infrastructured labs and classrooms. The library is divided into two parts, one for boys and another for girls. Sorry, but there is no hostel facility in college. But there is a canteen, which is fine.
Faculty: I am not denying that teachers are qualified and knowledgeable, but they don't take much interest in expressing there knowledge. Their teaching method is not attractive and practical. Sorry, but course curriculum is outdated, and it doesn't make students industry-ready. I know due to the NEP 2020 syllabus changing, but still lacking most of things. Exams are very easy. If you prepare for an exam even before a week, you can pass. Most students got backlogs in exams.
Other: I chose this course because I want to do just a degree and I was from commerce background as well and after graduated a job. Course curriculum should be changed. It should be more practical and make students future-ready. There is youth festival conducted every year. And there is hardly chhatarvriti scholarship available for all students. For SC category, the amount is 12000. And in the BC category, it is 8000. For general category only 2000.

It’s a pocket friendly college but will be deadly for your future.
Placements: When I took admission, total number of students was 410, not it's 270 in the second year. The highest package offered is around 4.5 to 6 Lacs, the lowest is 1.5 to 2 Lacs and the average package offered is 2 to 3 Lacs annually. IBM, ICICI Bank, Reliance, etc. used to visit before corona. Now only small companies visit to recruit. No internships are available. Top roles offered are that of Accountant, tally operator, etc.
Infrastructure: There are average labs, classrooms and library. There's a Wi-Fi which provides a speed of 34 mb. The Library lacks current academic books but has a competitive exams section. There's no hostel facility available in the college as it is local government college. You can't expect these things.
Faculty: The level of teachers here is average. I don't know why but I feel like the school teachers have a little more knowledgeable than these college professors. There's a big gap in the curriculum of this course. It doesn't make the students industry ready. Exams are average in terms of difficulty. Pass percentage could be around 40 to 65%.
Other: I chose this course because I had no clue, there’s nothing good about it. They can't change or improve our education system, so no comments on this. If they really want to copy Japan’s education system, they need to bring that level of teachers in. Currently, the youth festival is going which started on 14 Sept. 2024 where you can participate in singing, poetry, mimicry, dance, etc. Har Chhatarvriti scholarship is available for all students. If you belong to OBC, you will get ₹8000 for your scholarship and if you’re under the SC category, ₹12000 will be given.

College life is the best life .
Placements: Our college is not the best in placement, but its availability in placement I did not get any placement in college, but my friends got jobs after college. The highest package offered to me by my college is INR 3 lakh per year, and the lowest is INR 1.2 lakh per year. I didn't get any placements.
Infrastructure: Our course is good for studying; the teachers are very good, and the teachers explain very deeply every topic. I do not live in a hostel, and I am a day scholar student. That's why I am unable to share the experience of a hostel, but college is good. All the students, please take admission to my college.
Faculty: My college is the best in terms of exams; it does not allow you to heat up in exams, and new students also don't need to worry; our college teachers guide every student to do exams. I tell all the students to don't worry about their exams; all the exams are on time.
Other: The college is very clean, and the canteen is also clean. All the rooms are airy, and our teachers are very good at their behavior. College life is very good, and I am very happy with my college.

Good for money, bad for job.
Placements: Totaling over 1,000 students placed in college, the highest package is around 6 to 7 lakhs for very talented, skilled, and knowledgeable students. The lowest package is 2 to 2.5 lakhs. ICICI Bank, Reliance, and other big companies used to visit before the pandemic. Students have to find internships through their own sources. Top roles offered in my course include accountant, manager, data analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available, but it’s not very effective, providing only 34 Mbps. Labs, classrooms, and the library are just average. However, you can't expect much with only a 5,000 INR fee per year at a government college. Unfortunately, there are no hostel facilities, but there is a canteen for food. Medical facilities are lacking, and sports and games are rare in college.
Faculty: In this college, all teachers are well-qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful. However, most students have little interest in studying. The quality of teaching is average and not aligned with modern standards. About 70% of the curriculum seems useless or just on paper, lacking real-world application. Only 20 to 30% of the syllabus appears useful and applicable to the industry, which doesn't make us industry-ready. To be straightforward, semester exams are easy, but students need to write a lot to pass. Many students fail in subjects due to a lack of responsibility and study. I can't provide an exact pass percentage, but it could be around 40 to 60%.
Other: I chose this course because I want to take the SSC CGL exam, for which a degree is required. That's why. The college adopts ancient study methods and the syllabus often seems to mimic the American or Japanese education systems. I don't have much interest in college festivals or activities, but there are still youth festivals, quizzes, and poster speech competitions. Scholarships like the Har Chhatarvriti are available for students across all years.
