Review of Ravi Shankar College of Pharmacy.
Placements: Last year, our college placed around 3 to 4 students. The highest package was above 5 lakhs, while the minimum was between 3 to 4 lakhs. Companies like Cipla, Sun Pharma, Alkema Laboratories, and Biocon visited our campus to hire employees. The roles offered in this course include pharmacist, laboratory technician, teaching, and positions in the medical field, highlighting the scope of this course.
Infrastructure: Our college doesn't have hostel facilities, and there is no mess or canteen available. However, medical facilities are provided. Sports and games are scheduled with a weekly half-day, and once a year, there is a 7-day sports period for the entire college. The labs, classrooms, and library are accessible at no cost and are cleaned daily. The only department available in our college is B.Pharmacy.
Faculty: The teachers at RCOP are very helpful and have a good nature. They treat all students like their own children, focusing on skill enhancement and problem-solving. Our faculty members are highly qualified, having cracked competitive exams like NIPER, BHU, and GPAT. They share their vast knowledge with all students equally. Our college provides a 3-hour learning and skill improvement session in a seminar hall, aimed at enhancing our abilities to succeed in interviews and exams. The college exams are designed similarly to the final exams, helping us prepare effectively. The pass percentage is around 80%.
Other: In school, we only had two subjects to choose from: Math or Biology. I chose Biology, and during the COVID period in 12th grade, I decided to pursue a career as a pharmacist. I work hard, and I don't feel pressured by this course as it's manageable. Although our college doesn't host many events or fests, we do celebrate all major festivals like Holi, Diwali, Ganesh Utsav, and Freshers' Day. Extracurricular activities are regularly conducted in each class to help us improve our skills. Scholarships are also provided annually, and they are distributed on time.
