Should I choose SMS?
Placements: No placements are provided by the medical college, which lowers India's ranking, not just this college. Although a one-year internship program is held, a stipend is also given during this period. Around 22,000 is given as a stipend during this period. The period of internship is around one year.
Infrastructure: A new academic block and well-developed, advanced lecture theatres and labs are available for the students, but the hostel infrastructure is not well-developed. All playgrounds and sports grounds are available. Also, a new, advanced gym is available, and newly formed reading rooms and a library are also present.
Faculty: The teaching quality is very good. Professors and HODs are our teachers, using projectors and smart boards. In the whole year, four semester exams are conducted by the college, and the level of exams is normal. Two exam halls are available for the exams.
Other: The best thing about SMS Medical College is the daily patient load in the OPD hospital.

Overall, the college is great for MBBS; hostel life feels real!
Placements: The MBBS course duration is around 5.5 years, including the internship period. During the internship, we receive approximately 20k. After clearing PG, there are many opportunities to help people and the community. A PG doctor earns around 1 lakh, depending on the branch they secure during counseling.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are eco-friendly, well-ventilated, and comfortable. The library offers awesome facilities with many medical books available. The canteen provides a proper space to discuss any queries regarding studies or personal life with friends. Hostel facilities are also very good.
Faculty: The faculty is very friendly towards students, helping with studies and providing motivation. They also run a mentorship program to support mental health issues. The exam curriculum is divided into four sessions: 2 internals, 1 pre-university exam, and 1 university exam, which are sufficient for preparation.
Other: Our batch consists of 250 students.

Good placements in 2024. Selection in post graduation were high too.
Placements: Many students got selected in NEET PG in 2024 and got good ranks too. If you pass out from this college, you get priority in many places when you apply for a job. You get great clinical knowledge that helps astonishingly well when you apply for any job.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. Basic educational stuff is there. Sports infrastructure is under development and will be completed soon. A new gym is being made. The grounds are decent enough but not amazing. The swimming pool just got renovated but is bound by a schedule. A new reading hall has just been made.
Faculty: The teachers are good and supportive in most cases, except a few departments. The clinical knowledge is the best in the country as they have one of the largest OPDs in India. The largest patient flow in all of South Asia is at SMS and attached hospitals. SMS College has 11 attached hospitals, providing great clinical exposure.

Best medical college of Rajasthan.
Placements: There is no system of placement in the medical field. You have to just pass the NEET PG exam and then get a seat in a postgraduate course where you earn money while doing the course. Otherwise, you can do non-academic juniorship, which depends on the vacancy present.
Infrastructure: There are 3 hostels for boys and 1 hostel for girls on the campus. In first-year boys don't get hostels due to restrictions by college. Due to fear of ragging. So they got hostel in 2nd year in triple or double seater room. And in the 3rd year they get a single-seater room. Girls get hostels from 1st year only. There are approximately 5 messes and 5 canteens in the boys hostel, which provide very good quality food. You can eat food from any mess you want to eat. You get room by simply filling a form.
Faculty: MBBS is of 5.5 years in which there is academic part of 4.5 years and 1 year of internship. MBBS is the general knowledge course for becoming a doctor, which comprises of 19 subjects. After doing MBBS, you have to compete for NEET PG exam and then you get a seat for specialization courses Now talking about faculty members. In SMS, there are a lot of faculty members, and they are all so experienced, so there are very good academic facilities. Now talking about exams, there are 2 internal assessment and 1 pre-university exam And then finally university exam of that year. These all occur once a year, and this happens for 4 years.
Other: Firstly, talking about fest, here is an intercollege fest named SRIJAN that occurs every year at the end of August, which is of 5 days continuing many fun activities, sports events, cultural events, and most exciting DJ nights. It is full of fun. Now talking about libraries, there are 2 big libraries, among which 1 was recently opened. Both are well furnished and fully air conditioned. The library has all the books for every subject by different authors, and there are so many research publications and journals also. Now talking about sports, the campus has all the sports facilities like volleyball, basketball, cricket, football, gym, table tennis, lawn tennis, and Kabaddi. Also, we have dance and music clubs that organize events every Saturday.

Absolutely satisfied because of the faculty, infrastructure, and internship provided by the college.
Placements: There are 250 students in each batch, who got admission after passing and qualifying the NEET UG exam conducted by NTA each year. All students get an internship in the attached hospital of SMS Medical College, which is for 1.5 years with a stipend of 22,000 per month. After that, you can continue as a junior resident doctor in SMS with a package of 7 lakhs per annum or opt for the NEET PG exam for further specialization in different fields like MD Medicine, Surgery, Orthopedics, etc.
Infrastructure: We have an advanced lecture theater for our classes with top-notch facilities like fully air-conditioned classrooms, projectors with big LED screens for the last rows, microphones, speakers, etc. Our college has a very advanced library that has the largest stock of medical books and all other facilities.
Faculty: All teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable, having done their specialization in their respective subjects. Internal assessments are taken along with practicals every 2 to 3 months. Semester exams are moderate—not too difficult nor too easy. The pass percentage is 50% combined and at least 40% in theory exams.
Other: I chose this course because being a doctor is a noble profession, and by curing diseases and saving the lives of patients, the blessings and feelings a doctor receives are priceless and cannot be defined in words. I think there is room for more research and development programs to be added to our curriculum. Our college has Srijan, an annual fest celebrated each year, and other sports and cultural events are organized from time to time by the college administration and student union.

All about The SMS Medical College
Placements: As MBBS graduates are fewer in North India compared to demand, placements are now at 100 percent. The highest and lowest packages depend mainly on your PG qualifications. The average MBBS pass-out package is around 40k per month nowadays. Internships are offered at our own world-class SMS Hospital in Jaipur.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good overall. Wi-Fi is not available for common students. The library is world-class and free. The college also offers swimming, gym, and yoga classes at a minimum cost. The mess and canteen are good. Sports facilities are also good, though the football ground is a bit short. Volleyball, basketball, and tennis grounds are well-maintained.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified, but due to the heavy patient load, they are often exhausted and thus less helpful. Semester exams are of average difficulty, with a passing percentage of 50 percent. The curriculum is relevant, but it needs to be followed properly and could be made more practical.
Other: The main thing is the respect our society gives to doctors, along with a good income, though there is a lot of stress, so choose wisely. For improvement, I wish it were more practical like it was in the first year when faculty were very dedicated to us. The campus is peaceful and nice. A yearly fest is held called Srijan.
