School of Engineering and Applied Science, Ahmedabad University offers a two-year, full-time MTech programme in three different specialisations. These specialisations are MTech in Computer Science and Engineering, MTech in Semiconductor and VLSI Design and, MTech in Composites. BTech in any of the following disciplines: Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical, Metallurgy, Material Science, Civil, Textile, Naval Architecture, Marine, Mining, Production & Industrial, Textile, Engineering Sciences or Agricultural engineering.

A GATE score is optional. Students without a GATE score will be required to undergo a written test. All students (with or without a GATE score) are required to go through a PI.

School of Engineering and Applied Science MTech admission is based on a valid GATE score. Candidates must apply through the online application form with payment of a non-refundable School of Engineering and Applied Science MTech application fee of INR 1,200. Category-C: For graduates from institutions/ universities other than CFTIs who do not have a valid GATE score, admission will be based on a Written Test followed by an Interview. The written test will be conducted on campus by the School of Engineering and Applied Science.

Candidates who get admission to the MTech programme are required to pay the School of Engineering and Applied Science MTech fees of INR 3.5 Lakh to confirm their seat.
