Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) - Batch of 2025

The college is not good for placement and education.
Placements: The BCA placement rate is zero percent, with very few students placed with a 10k salary. Students get upset during admission times because the faculty at this college is rude and unhelpful. They seem to be cheating students, and no top IT companies visit the college, so no one gets an internship.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is okay, but the mess is very bad. The food is only for survival. If you join this college hostel, your diet will suffer. There is no cleanliness in the hostel kitchen, and sometimes flies come into the mess's food. The canteen is always closed. This college is more for passing time, for those who want to play on the ground and don't want to study.
Faculty: The faculty is available, but their teaching is not very knowledgeable. The course curriculum is outdated, making the course difficult for students if they don't attend regular classes. The teaching quality is very poor, and the lab is always closed. The passing percentage is only 50%.
Other: I chose this course because I like computers. The course is good, but the college is not good. During admission time, they promised good education, but now they are not delivering on their promises. It's a very expensive college.

Review of JECRC University.
Placements: No companies come here for placements. 1 or 2 companies came at our time for marketing roles, and no one sits in placement for this role. Once Infosys came here for recruitment, but don't know when. So, for placement purposes, it is not good at all. For taking a college degree, prefer this.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. Not like very big colleges. Yes, but good because its structure is like an old Haveli. The campus is surrounded by greenery, which is very peaceful, and having lunch there is a very good experience. Classes are okay. Space is enough. A decent infrastructure.
Faculty: Teachers are not good. One or two teachers you will find like they have knowledge about their subjects. Others are just time passes. Course curriculum is relevant but not up to date because the college is associated with RU and RTU where syllabus is updated every 5 years but with little change only.
Other: If you want only degree then it is good but for any other thing avoide this.

B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering - Batch of 2018

Not so worthy to get into it because of poor placement.
Placements: For my duration in college from 2014 to 2018, only one company came for campus placement, Avaids Technology where I got placed. For other branches, very few company visit the college for placement. At my time there were no such internship programme. You could only visit NPTEL website for education and Certificate programme by IIT.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, hostel facility is available for both boys and girls. There is a separate water tap available at the entry point to the hostel. Food quality is moderate and different food is prepared every day. The canteen is good where you get paties, cold drinks etc.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified, but you have to work very hard as the syllabus is lengthy. During my times, there were few subject and no teachers were available, so I had to work hard to pass the subject. As an electrical engineers, you have to visit industrial training for practical purpose and duly sign by college. If you get back in any subject, then you can pay for recheck of copy and if not passed, then again you have to fill form for reappear in exam.
Other: There is a fest organized every year which is good for the student for some extra activities to take part. Other college students can also take part. There should be a Wi-Fi, e learning should be there, industrial visit for practical knowledge.

B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2019

Our college helps you to complete your degree.
Placements: Around 2-3 companies came when I was in the final year, which doesn't belong to our core branch. Still, we sit in the interview, and after the final round is completed, they say this job does not suit your profile. They suggest joining in some other company. It is a time pass of full-day when any 3rd-grade company comes for campus drive.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good and looks royal. There are the best classrooms, auditorium, big ground, a great basketball and badminton court. A God Saraswati temple is also available here. There are two hostels and a big mess with very good infrastructure.
Faculty: Faculty members and course curriculum are very poor. All teachers are not available, and each teacher takes 2-3 lectures a day. They don't have proper knowledge of every subject. Sometimes lectures are empty because teachers are busy with some examination duties. Management is overall very bad.
Other: The yearly fest is the best thing that happens in Shankara Institute of Technology because there are lots of participation. Other colleges like Amity, Arya, JEC, SKIT and various college students come. There is a huge amount of crowd, and some special guests are also invited. There is lots of fun at this time, and we enjoyed a lot in total 10 days of the fest.

Students can opt for this for studying, but you should study on your own.
Placements: Almost 10 to 20% of the students got placed in our course. In our course, the highest salary package offered was 3 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 1 LPA. HCL and Havells were top recruiting companies at that time. About 30% of the students got an internship in companies like Jio, HCL, Eicher, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good. Our college has a very good stock of books in the library, and there are also computer labs, auditorium, transport facility, well-connected Wi-Fi facility, canteens and workshops. All types of games facilities are available here. Cricket and football ground is good for students who like cricket.
Faculty: All the teachers here are helpful, well-qualified and knowledgeable. At that time, some new teachers had a lack of knowledge, but experienced teachers are very good at knowledge. This course is relevant and makes students industry-ready.
Other: I wish our college to provide better and talented faculty members, and they should also provide practical studies for students of every branch.

It is not a good college.
Placements: Placements in our college are not good at all. I would not recommend this college to any students who want to study engineering. Only 1 or 2 companies visit our college for placements. From our batch, only 4 students got placed with a minimum salary package of 2 LPA in IT company.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is not good. The main building of the college looks good from outside, but it is hollow from inside. Wi-Fi facility is available, but it works rarely. Labs are average. The library is good. Hostel life is pathetic as the crowd is not good. There is a separate mess for both boys and girls, and the quality of food served is below par.
Faculty: Only some teachers are good, and the rest are not at all good. They are not well qualified. Majority of them are pass out from the same college. Students buy previous year question banks and solely depend on the same for passing the university exams. The course curriculum followed was from RTU, which is an average technical university.
