Q:   Is B.E. / B.Tech at Shri Vaishnav Institute of Technology and Science a good choice?

    A:
    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Here's a summary of the key points regarding whether B.E./B.Tech at Shri Vaishnav Institute of Technology and Science (SVITS) is a good choice:

    Facilities

    * The college has good infrastructure, with well-equipped laboratories, classrooms, and a library.
    * The campus is Wi-Fi enabled, and the sports facilities are good, although limited.
    * The hostel accommodation is available for girls, but not for boys.

    Teaching Staff

    * The faculty members are generally helpful, knowledgeable, and experienced, but some may lack professionalism.
    * The teaching method is mostly theoretical, with limited emphasis on practical knowledge.

    Placement

    * SVITS has a decent reputation for placements, particularly in the IT and core sectors.
    * About 60% of students from the ECE branch got placed, mostly in TCS, with an average package of INR 3.36 LPA.
    * Other notable recruiters include TCS Ninja, TCS Digital, Byju's, Wipro, and Cognizant.
    * The average salary package offered varies from INR 2-8 LPA, depending on the company and role.

    Other Aspects

    * The college organizes events, festivals, and competitions, providing a holistic educational experience.
    * The cultural festival is considered one of the best in the region.
    * Extracurricular activities are relatively limited, especially for students in technical branches like ME, AU, and CE.

In conclusion, while SVITS has its strengths, such as good infrastructure and decent placements, it falls short in areas like practical knowledge and extracurricular activities. Prospective students should weigh these factors carefully before making a decision.

    A:
    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Structure of B.E./B.Tech Course Curriculum at Shri Vaishnav Institute of Technology and Science

Based on the reviews from students and alumni, here's an overview of the course curriculum structure:

    * Curriculum Coverage: The course curriculum covers both traditional and modern subjects, preparing students for future challenges.
+ "The college follows a very vast curriculum which covers the usual engineering subjects comprised with modern subjects that prepare the students for tomorrow."
    * Theory-to-Practical Ratio: The curriculum has a slightly higher emphasis on theory (around 90%) compared to practical applications (around 10%).
+ "There were very few people who motivate us to try new inventions in our field. The course curriculum includes almost 90% theory and 10% practical, which doesn't give us an idea about the industry."
    * Industry Focus: While the curriculum does cover some industry-related topics, it may not fully prepare students for real-world scenarios.
+ "Things which need to be taught to make students capable to work in the industry with good amount of knowledge. No focus was given on internships."

Note that these points are based on limited reviews and may not represent the entire experience of students enrolled in the program. It is essential to verify the accuracy of this information by contacting the institution directly.

Decent college with average placements. I don't know about current time.
Placements: I was from the ECE branch, and the placement in my course was decent. Most of my batchmates, almost 60% of them, got placed in the mass recruiting company TCS with an average package of INR 3.36 LPA. I don't remember anyone getting placed in core ECE, at least from my class.
Infrastructure: The library was good enough; it was actually very good. The sports facilities were also good; there was an indoor badminton court, a volleyball court, and also basketball. The college canteen food was okay, not bad, but the canteen area was small. Classrooms were average.
Faculty: Some faculty members were helpful, but others were not very professional. Faculty members had knowledge, but some lacked the ability to reciprocate it to students. There were unnecessary assignments that needed to be changed; instead, they should focus on the overall personality and skills of the students. Semester exams were quite okay.
Other: Overall, in 2019, it was an okay college with average placements. I think they should have changed the curriculum and focused on industry-demanding skills. I joined because it was an affordable college at that time with decent facilities. At last, the college should also give students insight into market demands and skills, irrespective of their core branch. Most of the student's goal is to get a decent job; if there is proper guidance on what skills are required to get those jobs, it will be beneficial, and if there are more jobs in other than core branches, just be honest with them and give them insight so they can develop skills according to market demands.

Review of Shri Vaishnav Institute of Technology and Science.
Placements: Only a few students got placed in our college. Our college has tie-ups with TCS Ninja and TCS Digital. The salary package offered by TCS Ninja is 3.6 LPA. The salary package offered by TCS Digital is 7.2 LPA. Our college is for degrees, not for placements.
Infrastructure: There is no hostel for boys. Our college provides a girls' hostel in Gumastha Nagar. There is no network on campus. Our college provides Wi-Fi. Our canteen is average.
Faculty: Some teachers have vast knowledge about their subjects, but some teachers don't have clue about their subjects. Some teachers are Ph.D. holders while some are pursuing masters from the same college. All exams are very easy. We have to read the study materials that are provided by teachers.

Mechanical in SVVV is a good idea or not!
Placements: As admission in mechanical engineering is low, everyone is getting jobs easily, but I will personally suggest you take our college when you are interested in taking a government job. You will get lots of opportunities and time to prepare. Internships are easily available .
Infrastructure: College infrastructure is above average. Wi-Fi is there, which works. Lavs doesn't work mostly. Classrooms are there. The library is the best part of the whole college; the aesthetics are real and you can study. The canteen is average. Medical facilities are available. Games and sports are also there .
Faculty: Yes, teachers and faculty are the best; they are qualified and most of them are helpful. Teachers are good. The curriculum is relevant but don't expect you to be industry-ready if you are studying mechanical engineering at any college. Semester exams are not too tough.
Other: I chose this course because I was interested in the field of mechanicals and wanted to do a government job. Yes, I do feel that if they had taken fewer students in CS, the college would be more appealing. Events are there. Fest is also organized. The campus crowd is average. Connectivity is good. I recommend you take part in any club of your interest .

College is an absolutely good and environment of college is also great.
Placements: About 25 % of students were placed from my stream. Package vary from 2 to 8 Lacs per annum. Top recruiting companies are tcs, wipro, byjus etc. 25% of students get internship from my stream. Each and every information about programming language we learn in college.
Infrastructure: Labs and libraries are available in my college. Labs having all instruments and Wi-Fi facility. Which is usable by the students. Hostel having Wi-Fi facility and food quality is not even good there. But it's adjustable. Canteen facility is good in college. College is having medical facility and sports.
Faculty: Faculty of college are really good. They understand the situation and give the solutions to the students as per need. Students work in industrial area have good opportunity in this field. Semester exams are moderate and pass percentage is 33 percents.
Other: I chose this college and course because I want to build my career in industries work with PLC and scada. College have enough crowd and event and fest will be organise in college at the time of end of college.

It is a very good college for studies. The campus environment is better.
Placements: Around 80% of students got placed in this course. The average salary package offered ranges from 2 LPA to 8 LPA. The average salary package offered was 4 LPA. Almost 5-10 students got placed. TCS, Byjus, and many companies visit our college for recruitment. I would recommend students to take admission in it.
Infrastructure: Classrooms and library were very good in this college. Our campus was not Wi-Fi-enabled. Sports and games were also good.
Faculty: Teachers were well qualified and they make students understand very well. Our course curriculum was relevant and it makes students ready for the industry. Semester exams were average and the pass percentage was 33%. The teaching quality was good. They also conduct extra classes for students.
Other: I want to work in a production line so I chose this course. Events were also conducted in this college. Students have to do hard work for placements in this course.
