Q:   How effective is the placement cell for BCA courses at Sirifort Institute of Management Studies?

    A:
    {Source: BCA students & alumni}

Effectiveness of Placement Cell for BCA Courses at Sirifort Institute of Management Studies

Unfortunately, the placement cell at Sirifort Institute of Management Studies seems to be ineffective for BCA courses. Here's what students and alumni have reported:

    * No company visits: None of the companies visit the college for placements, making it difficult for students to secure jobs directly through the institute.

    * Pool campus placements: The college offers pool campus placements, where multiple colleges participate, increasing competition among students.

    * Limited assistance: Even the college itself does not provide much guidance or preparation support for interviews or job applications.

    * Off-campus placements: Most students end up securing jobs through off-campus efforts, indicating that the placement cell may not be doing enough to facilitate employment opportunities.

Overall, while the college provides some basic facilities, the effectiveness of its placement cell for BCA courses appears to be limited. Students seeking employment after completing their degree may need to rely on their own efforts to find suitable job opportunities.

The worst college in Delhi/NCR. Absolutely dissatisfied !
Placements: Around 12-15% got placed in the companies. The highest package is about 2-3 lac and the lowest package is 1-1.5 lac. Generally, mass recruitment companies like Wipro and TCS companies invest here for hiring. No internship is available on campus you have to pay for internships which are mandatory for students which are taken by teachers. The top role offered is still unknown.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really bad toilets are broken and stink. No Wi-Fi facilities labs contain pc from the 1980s in the worst condition. No medical facility. The campus is so small and dirty. The benches are broken Classroom is so small. Even though they charge you for A/C, I have seen no air-conditioned classes in my entire course.
Faculty: Some teachers are good but the rest of the teachers are either on fixed stipends from outside or do not have clear knowledge about the subject. Some teachers are really helpful and friendly but mostly you'll find rude and mind your own business kind of teachers.
Other: Waste of my time and money college is corrupted. I didn't enjoy college a little bit I was a bright student at first but later on, I indulged in money transactions with the faculty due to attendance or late fee which can be cut due to the ongoing pandemic and problems my family was facing but they prefer and will prefer money over students problem. I suggest not taking admission if you want campus life and the value of money in return a TOTAL NO!

This college is not a choice but if you get this college it's not a bad one either.
Placements: Placements were average, although many students were placed the job roles were mixed like we were offered a job as a salesman but apart from them, there were some good companies and good opportunities. 6-7 students were placed in my class and 10-15 students from my batch.
Infrastructure: As a BCA student, there were 2 computer labs assigned to us, but we were only allowed twice a week. Apart from that, lab faculty members were good some were more helpful than others. There was also a sports room even though we were not all there, but it had a snooker table.
Faculty: Some teachers were really helpful, and I believe some of the faculty members were overqualified while some were under but after considering everything, I would say everything about this college is average. Internal exams are hard.

Our college has good placements and helpful teachers.
Placements: The placements for BCA are excellent. Students in our college are selected from various new and old companies. They have got good positions with good salary packages. As a fresher, it is appreciated to get such good jobs with great salary packages in companies.
Infrastructure: Our college has a canteen, a library, and labs along with classrooms. It has pretty big classrooms with air conditioners that work perfectly well. They take good care of cleanliness. The washrooms on all the floors are clean. They have also provided good quality drinking water.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful and cooperative. They clear students' doubts and help them resolve various issues. Teachers are highly qualified too. They conduct exams on a per university basis that helps students prepare just like they would for university exams.
Other: Overall, it was a good experience as a student.

SIMS is affiliated with Guru Govind Singh Indraprastha University and provides quality education.

The top recruiting companies are Capgemini, Infosys, Wipro, Upgrade, and many others. The top roles offered are executive trainee, consultant service, etc. Placements offer by this college is good.
Infrastructure: Every week 2 laboratories class for each subject are conducted. There are 2 laboratories and it has enough computers that every student can avail it. It has a library where students can issue books. There is no mess on the campus but there is a canteen.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They can support students and help them in every point. They focus on every student and also the study pattern is strict. College is not huge, no extracurricular activities and teachers are not available at the college.
Placements: About 40% of students got placements. The highest salary package offered is 3.5 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 1.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Wipro, Deloitte, Capgemini, etc. The college sends the link of the company profile and doesn't give proper information about the link. They just send on WhatsApp.
Infrastructure: College is not so huge, it is small. No other activities happen on campus. In my final semester, there were no lab sessions. The lab facility is too poor. Maximum of the computers are not working properly. The library is also small.
Faculty: Some teachers are helpful in our college. Teachers are not available. They complete the course at the last moment very fast. Some teachers are experienced but others are not too experienced. The semester exam was not so hard. The passing percentage is 33%. Teachers only teach the theory not practical.
Other: I don't know about this college earlier so I chose this college. There is no extra activity, events or fest.
