    Pros:

    * Low fees: The college fee is relatively low, making it an affordable option for students.
    * Good infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure, including classrooms, labs, and hostels.
    * Qualified faculties: The faculty members are well-educated and knowledgeable in their fields.
    * Relevant course curriculum: The course curriculum is relevant and prepares students for the industry.
    * Scholarships available: Scholarships are available for students, including post-metric scholarships.
    * Off-campus placements: Even though on-campus placements may not be frequent, off-campus placements are available, and students can expect decent salaries ranging from INR2-INR4 LPA.

    Cons:

    * Limited on-campus placements: On-campus placements are limited, and only a few companies visit the campus.
    * Average placement rates: The placement rate is average, with around 40-50% of students getting placed.
    * High competition: The competition for placements is high, particularly among top-performing students.

True facts about state engineering college.
Placements: Basically we have a class size of 60 students who belong to different social groups and everyone got enrolled on the basis of their merit i.e., JEE score. The placements ratio of this college is average but it is good to look for off campus placements. You can expect 2-3 Lacs per annum and mostly student get placed as educational counselors. However, some of the students are doing too well and cracking exams like GATE with AIR 22 in 2024 and others with 2-3 digit rank. It all depends upon how you perform. You will find your seniors very helpful who will assist you in every possible way. The fee structure of the college is also very budget friendly which is around ₹29960 for four years academically. It is a state government college. You may expect internships in the 3rd year. But you can try for internships off campus as well.
Infrastructure: You will have access to different labs like Chemistry, English and Computers which helps you to enhance your skills and boost your spirit of learning. All the labs are technically equipped but at times you will face difficulty in finding some of the chemicals but as per fee structure, everything is good to go. You will have access to the library where you can get books for your studies and can do self study without any distraction. You will have access to Wi-Fi in the library only. The classes are modernised and the teachers used to teach with the help of smart boards which helps students in visualising the concepts. All the teachers are well qualified and have good command on their subjects but at the same time, you will find a little difficulty with some subjects. The faculty too is a little disappointing but I hope it will be fine very soon.
Faculty: All the teachers are BPSC qualified and knowledgeable in their respective subjects. They use real life examples to connect the students with their theories and many times use local languages to make depth understanding of the concepts. The demonstrations given by them are really helpful to visualize the concepts and everything that is industry relevant. Talking about the semester exams, they are a little tough as many students get year backs but I believe that if you keep studying daily for 3 hours, then perhaps you can score far better than the others, but it’s upto you.
Other: I chose this course because I feel it’s future demanding and I love coding so it’s also my passion. I am enjoying here but at the same time I am disappointed as well because there are no huge tech event, or any kind of fest. We only had an annual and freshers function organized which too was by the students. You will not get much exposure or even a learning environment that you can access in tier 1 cities. It’s budget friendly and you will get all of your money back through scholarships like post metric scholarship. I hope in the near future tech fest will be organized in our college and some more modern equipments are arranged too.

My college has good quality facilities and infrastructure.
Placements: I recently completed my B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from Sitamarhi Institute of Technology. I enjoyed my college life a lot and learned valuable discipline and culture that will be helpful in my placement endeavors. The top-offered package from my batch was 6 LPA for the role of Development Associate.
Infrastructure: All the facilities, including the mess, are fine at my college. The food and beverages provided are also of good quality. The library is equipped with modern computers, and the hostel offers a scenic environment with tranquility everywhere. Sports and game facilities are also available.
Faculty: The teachers and faculty are also very helpful and knowledgeable. The courses provided by the college include civil, mechanical, electrical, and computer science streams. College semester exams are conducted at a high level and are not taken lightly by students.
Other: I chose the course in Computer Science and Engineering because engineering streams are highly popular and in demand in today's industry, especially for fresh graduates in computer science.

A college with less fee at a lower rank.
Placements: I am enrolled in a 4 years engineering course of CSE. The placement opportunities are not so good in the college with only a few companies visiting for placements. If you master your course with dedication, then you may apply for off-campus placements and get a decent job.
Infrastructure: Since this is a government college so the infrastructure is not so good but it’s not too bad either. You get a library, labs and good classrooms with digital board in the campus. In the hostel, you get clean rooms consisting of 3 beds, 2 tube lights, and 3 study tables in a triple sharing room. Canteen is available in the hostel. You can get mess food but the quality is not so good.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified, they were hired here after qualifying the entrance exam. The teachers are supportive and they take the classes daily. 75 attendance is compulsory for the faculty as well. Course curriculum is relevant and makes the students industry ready but you have to take some online courses as well. Semester exams are not too tough with all the questions being asked from within the syllabus. Almost all the students who attended the classes regularly and studies well, definitely passed the exams.
Other: The class size is of 60 students in Computer Science branch which is the leading branch all over world. In this course, there is a high chance of getting a placement. If more company visit the campus, more placement opportunities will be available for the students. The college fee is very less like you can complete your engineering degree in less than 60000. Events are organized every year by the end of December. You can get scholarships here if you come under some category, except the general category. Campus is in a village area but you can find some shops nearby which will fulfill all your needs.

    Sitamarhi Institute of Technology
Placements: Good, but the placement scenario is low. You will get an average package of 2 LPA, and the highest is 10 LPA. If you're a very good student, you have to rely on off-campus placements because good companies visit this college. Therefore, if you want a good job, you have to try on your own.
Infrastructure: Everything is good - mess, classrooms, and Wi-Fi are all available. However, the main issue is the lack of quality education in this college. You have to rely on self-learning, and fulfilling attendance requirements is the only necessity to complete the examination form. Overall, there are problems, but the best thing is that the fee is very low.
Faculty: You cannot understand what the teacher is teaching; hence, you have to rely on self-study. It is an engineering college, but you must rely on self-preparation as exams are very stringent, conducted under camera supervision. To pass the examination, you must face many difficulties.

Review of SIT Sitamarhi College .
Placements: The campus is lively, and the teachers really care about our learning. I notice that Computer Science students are in high demand, with impressive placements. Cisco offering a 12 LPA package to CSE students is a standout. Although overall placements are decent, I believe more extracurricular activities could make the college experience even better.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our course at my college is solid, with core subjects kicking in from the 3rd semester. The availability of three boys hostels and two girls hostels adds convenience, and the facilities are commendable. However, the only downside is the mess food.
Faculty: The faculty in our college is excellent, displaying commendable behavior. Their recruitment through BPSC competitions ensures a high standard. The academic structure includes two mid-term and two end-term exams annually, providing a well-organized and thorough learning experience.

Life in SIT Sitamarhi is challenging because of lack of facility in academics and faculty.
Placements: Very few students of the passing out batch were placed in the on-campus placements drive. Few of them got placed in companies like Byjus. The highest package offered was 6 LPA and the lowest was 2 LPA with an average of 3-4 LPA. Mainly, small companies and companies like Mahindra and TCS are recruiting but in a very small number. In one batch, maximum of 10% students get on-campus placements.
Infrastructure: Since I am in the Computer Science branch, the computer labs are well designed in our academic building along with a language lab being constructed to improve the language skills of the students. One dedicated library is there from where we can issue any book to study and improve our knowledge. Our hostels are also well constructed with various facilities like water cooler, mess facility, etc. Canteen is connected to the academic building and the mess is well constructed within each hostel where quality food is provided at a cheaper rate.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified and skilled. Their way of teaching is quite effective. They try to complete the syllabus. Truly saying, the first year’s syllabus has nothing relevant to make the students industry ready. But as we get promoted to the next semesters, the course becomes relevant. Semester exams are difficult as the students find it very hard to complete their syllabus on time, especially in the Maths department.
Other: I chose Computer Science engineering. Best things about our course is that the faculty members of this branch are very supportive and effective. Few more labs should be installed so that a coding culture can be started in our college. Very few events are organised but indoor games are conducted regularly. Recently, a plantation event was also organised to improve the environment of our college. It is well connected to Sitamarhi railway station within a distance of 8 kms. Bihar government is providing scholarships which is the only scholarship available here.
