Journey to Becoming a Registered Nurse
Placements: Every year, a hundred students get admission to SMS Nursing College via the entrance exam. There is also reservation caste-wise, and half of the students are girls, with the remaining being boys. The college also provides a monthly stipend. After completing the degree, there is a chance of becoming a registered nurse. The state and center provide vacancies for further clinical practice.
Infrastructure: There are two smart classrooms effective for demonstrations of clinical exposure, which are quite helpful in gaining knowledge. There is also a library area for both UG and PG students, containing thousands of books. There are well-furnished, separate boys' and girls' hostels. The sports and games arena is also maintained, and an annual sports week is organized.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable, and they are helpful by nature. Positive student-teacher relationships involve a caring teacher who treats students equitably and believes that all learners can succeed. The course curriculum is relevant. In this course, there is both academic and clinical practice that makes the course more relevant. There is both a semester and an annual exam system. Fifty percent is the passing mark.
Other: We choose the course of nursing because it's a noble white-collar job. A nurse is a person who cares for sick or infirm people. The stipend should be improved in this course, and practical knowledge also needs enhancement. Annual functions and fests are very good, and the college campus is surrounded by hostels, a hospital, and the market.

Review of SMS College of Nursing.
Placements: Above 50 to 60% of the students are selected for government jobs every year. The salary offered is Rs. 40,000 per month in various fields but it varies. Students are selected as nursing officers, CHO, staff nurses, etc. Top role offered is a nursing officer in AIIMS ESIC and staff nurse in many hospitals such as NIMHANS.
Infrastructure: The college campus is very good and it looks like a hotel. Classrooms are well oriented and a laboratory is also present for nursing practices. The college also offers a library with better study materials. Every week, a sports day is organised by sport teacher.
Faculty: In our college, almost all the faculty members are qualified with M.Sc. nursing in a specific subject. Teachers always try to make learning easier so all the students can easily understand the study material. The knowledge provided by teachers is very useful to make our future better. Teachers always motivate all the students to achieve their goals.
Other: The best thing about B.Sc nursing is that is you always know the sense of humanity.
