Q: When is SMUDE application forms out?

The application forms for Sikkim Manipal University Distance Education (SMU-DE) programs are not currently available as admissions for the current session are closed. However, for Sikkim Manipal University (SMU) courses like BCom, BA, MCom, MCA, and MA, the last date to apply is March 9, 2024. Applicants can request admission information on the SMU website and will be counseled on submission of their request. The admission notification for SMU-DE programs will be announced on the university website, and applicants can fill out the online enquiry form to receive a call back from counsellors

Q: How is life at SMUDE?

The college's infrastructure is too excellent. The campus has Wi-Fi available, and the classrooms are excellent. The medical facilities are excellent, and the computer labs are state-of-the-art. Students can play table tennis, football, cricket, and other activities in the excellent gaming area.

From here, you can enrol in remote courses including BCA, MCA, and MBA. I observed a lot of folks doing the popular MBA programme. This university is not difficult since if you study, you will receive good grades. The best approach is used by the instructors here to explain your courses. Pupils come here to acquire a variety of skills.

I would recommend everyone to join this university for both education and good placements.

Placements: It is distance learning, so they were hardly connected with other students, but the campus is good. They offered big companies. They will train us on how to attend campus interviews.

Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable. They help you a lot with all the subjects, including the project work. The course is relevant to all the subjects. It will help students work in all industries. Semester exams are a little difficult, but you have to attend both the online exam and the assignment.

The college is not as good as expected.

Placements: Approximately 30% of students got placed in reputed companies. Most of the students choose the IT course. There was also an option for specialisation courses. So, students can go for many courses under the same roof. The fee payment mode is very flexible.

Infrastructure: Labs, classrooms and Wi-Fi are very good. The faculty members are polite, but there is an issue about the space on campus for students to enjoy during lunch break. Everything is good and in proper condition. Food is average as expected.

Faculty: There are two modes of exams, online and offline modes, such as OMR sheet and descriptive. Teachers are really helpful, well educated and polite. The campus is student-friendly, and the exam center is better than expected.

One of the good colleges is sikkim.

Placements: The placement of the college is really good and college provide placements to almost more than 80% are placed from the college. And the top recruiting companies are lake, jaro etc. And the internships are also provided to all the students. And the top roles offered are managers.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure and the building of the college is good and college provide good Wi-Fi connectivity and there are spacious classrooms and the library and labs are well and good. The hostel facility of the college is also very good and hostel provide good mess facility and other facility.

Faculty: The teachers and the faculty members of the college are really as I studied from distance learning but I never felt like that I am not physically present. They are really very supportive and helping nature and the teaching quality Is also very good. The course curriculum is also relevant.

It is a good college for BCA with good facilities.

Placements: In our college, the placements were very good. Many top companies visited here for placements, and distance education students also get placement opportunities sometimes with good salary packages. Top roles offered in our course were computer analyst and software developer.

Infrastructure: The quality of the food available in the mess was good, and other facilities like labs and library were proper here. Mainly classes conducted were proper for distance education students with an online platform. Medical facilities were properly provided to all students.

Faculty: The course curriculum is relevant and mainly approved as it provides good placements for students. All the teachers here were good and helpful in nature. They all were knowledgeable and qualified. Their teaching quality was also good, and they also provide good training.

Review of Directorate of Distance Education, Sikkim Manipal University.

Placements: Almost 80% of the students got placed in our course. The highest salary offered is Rs. 30,000 per month. The average salary offered is Rs. 20,000 per month. The lowest salary offered is Rs. 14,000 per month. Amazon, IBM, etc., were the top recruiting companies. Assistant Manager, HR, etc., were the top recruiting companies. Almost 90% of the students got an internship in amazon, Kotak bank, etc.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very healthy and powerful. The college provides full supports. Classrooms are very highly digital. The library is two types, i.e., online and offline library. The hostel is beyond the expectations. They offer good quality of food and hostel facility.

Faculty: Teaching quality is very good and innovative. The qualifications of teachers are good. The study of our college is well and fit. Authorities take care of their students very much. The course curriculum is relevant and is quite possible to enter any competitive market.

Other: I have chosen this course because I like this course. I have a passion for this course. There is a need to operate the latest update of topics.

I am satisfied with the college, but they should upgrade placement opportunities.

Placements: The placement cell of the college is not doing very well. The average salary package provided by the university is 7 LPA for MBA students. Not every student gets placed in this institute. They don't invite various companies. Moreover, they invite limited companies, and they recruit only 2-3 students.

Infrastructure: The college has a good infrastructure. Their outdoors and interiors are well furnished, and they are maintained regularly. Computer labs are well-equipped with computers, and they also have a Wi-Fi facility. All the classrooms have 2 air-conditioners and well- furnished chairs and tables.

Faculty: Faculty members here are average. They only provide the book knowledge. They should provide other information which is required by the students for their future. Their teaching method is also not good. They take the classes only 20 minutes. Students don't get industry exposure.
