Average college life at Som-Lalit

Placements: There are no campus placements after B.Com in SLCC. You can apply by yourself and get a good job as SLCC has a good impression in the market and among the corporate. One can undertake an accountant's job, a marketing job, etc. Som-Lalit's administration sometimes suggests places where students can walk in. They have a good reputation with them.

Nice placements and great faculty but the college can be made better

Placements: The placements at the college are good. The process is transparent and the same for both PGDM and MBA. Placements are good for both marketing and finance streams. The companies coming to the campus are Radio Mirchi, ICICI Prudential, Asian Paints, Mansukh securities, a few banks, Vodafone, etc. for the year of 2016-2017. The average package was around 3-3.5 lakhs per annum. The highest package was about 5 lakhs per annum and lowest was close to 2 lakhs per annum. The roles for most of the market...

A nice college and good return on investment

Placements: The placement scenario at Som Lalit for PGDM is very good in terms of return on investment and value for money. For the year of 2016-2017, the highest package was around 5 lakh per annum and the lowest was around 1.8 lakh per annum. We had companies like Asian Paints, ITC, ICICI Prudential, Prakash Chemicals, Mansukh Securities, etc. coming on the campus. The placement process for 2017-2018 is ongoing and we already have companies like Asian Paints, ITC, S&P Global, etc. who have already picked ...

Satisfied because of the faculty and placements.

Placements: The placements for our batch as of now is going strong. We had started the process pre-diwali vacation. So far 20 students have got placed from both campus placement and through reference as well. Till date, the highest package is 6 LPA, and I am not aware of the lowest package. The companies visited till now are mainly from FMCG sector.

Person who is looking for some great education is definitely suitable for them.

Placements: The placements are good, but not that great. It depends upon your performance and capabilities. The average placement structure is 2.5 LPA. The placement cordinator have no great concern for the students. The college placement rules are hilarious. Only 50 percent got placed according to the records. Top MNC comes into the pool campus, and even some of the good respectable company visits directly into the college.

Excellent faculty. The college can achieve better placements.

Placements: The placements for the college are good. They are good regarding return on investment and value for money. But they can be better in the future days. We have companies like S&P Global, Mansukh Securities and Finance Ltd., ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, Asian Paints, ITC, Saffron lifestyle, etc. come for the campus placements. For the previous year 2016-2017 placements, the highest package was about 5 lacs per annum, and the lowest was about 1.8 lacs per annum. The placement process is transpar...

My post graduation college: Its positive peculiarities and shortcomings

Placements: 1. The placements were good. We had our own student committee for placements and that committee worked hard to get everyone placed. We were trained too by the college to succeed in written tests, group discussion and personal interviews. 2. Almost 85% students were placed in my batch. 3. The highest was 5 LPA, the average was like 2.5 LPA to 3 LPA and the lowest was 1-1.5 LPA. 4. Companies like ICICI Bank, ITC, Asian Paints, Colgate and TCS. Some local companies, etc. visited the campus. 5. ...

Management studies should contain more practical knowledge

Placements: Som-Lalit has got actually good placements in the field of marketing. Nestle, Colgate, Sangath Builders and many others come for the placements every year.Last year the highest package offered was 6.5 lacs/annum by Shriram Housing Finance. Marketing executive and sales trainee are the roles various companies offer.

The college is making the best efforts, students should come up with some ideas to make it good.

Placements: The placement process in the college for our batch has started and is going smoothly. Most of the senior students got placed. The highest salary offered to one of our seniors was Rs. 6 lakhs per annum, and the lowest was around Rs. 2 lakhs per annum. The companies like Audi, Asian Paints, Shriram Finance and many other banking companies have visited the campus offering sales officer jobs and territory sales officer jobs for marketing. 95% of the students got the internships from the college. Not worth it because after wasting two years, you get nothing out of it.

Placements: The placements are not satisfactory. If you have a good working experience, then it's good. But, for a fresher, it won't be easy to fetch a good job. The college does not offer internships. You have to search jobs by yourself. Only 3% to 4% of the students got placement from college.

Worth the money except for the infrastructure. But they are working on that too.

Placements: The placements are good. There are more than 90-100 companies coming for placements. We have Colgate, ITC, Nestlé, ICICI and many more such companies coming for campus placement. The highest salary offered last year was 6.5 - 7.0 lacs and the average salary was 4.0 - 4.5 lacs by the companies. There were mostly management and executive level posts offered by the companies.

Satisfied with the education provided and the faculty

Placements: The college does not have placements for B.Com. The management shall plan for placements of B.Com students. This can also help students as well as the development of the college. This can make students feel secured about future jobs and motivate them to score better for better opportunities. But none of the senior batches and our batch were given placement facilities in our college.

Placements: Placements in our college are both good and average. Last year our college faced some problems in placement procedure. But this time placement procedure started very well. Even our college participated in pool campus also and our college did well in that. This time, the placement procedure started early and is working very smoothly. Many big and multinational companies came for the placement like Nestle, ITC, Colgate and Asian Paints. In our college, marketing people are having more opportunitie...

Best college from study, faculty and atmosphere points of view.

Placements: There was no placement for B.Com students in the college and I have never heard of any senior student getting placed in any company or firm. No company visited our college for placements for B.Com students. There was no reference for placement given to students for their job search.

Placements: Som-Lalit Provides best placements every year. Companies like Torrent power, ITC, Airtel, Axis Bank, SNL Finance, Patanjali Ayurveda, Coca-cola etc. And nearly 80 to 90 are being placed. Every year applicants get placed. Minimum package is about 150000 and max is 400000.

If you need to waste your precious 2 years then you can take admission.

Placements: Not more than 10 companies were coming for the placements, and the companies which came for the placements, offered only marketing jobs even if you completed your Master's degree in a finance field. They offered marketing-related or financial products such as a CASA, loans, FD, insurance etc. I got selected in ICICI and they offered me 1.80 lacs and the work is to go to the market and sell insurance. The highest salary offered:- 3.6 lacs (only 2 students). The lowest salary offered:- 1.2 lacs.

Absolutely excellent because of course, faculty members and placements but poor infrastructure.

Placements: Placements were excellent for marketing students. More than 80% students were placed in my batch as well as in my senior’s batch. For marketing profiles, the hardcore sales profile comes mostly and if you like to work with advertisements, brand developments or strategies, then think before you take admission.

It is one of the best colleges. Som-lalit has the best crowd amongst all the MBA colleges. So, I will definitely suggest you to get into this college for your secured career. The college conducts the biggest college fest. The faculty focusses on the practical knowledge rather than the theoretical knowledge.
