Not a good college for MBA. No good placements and Infrastructure.

Placements: Placements are not good. Around 80% of students are placed on campus for recruitment. MRF, ZYDUS, ASIAN PAINTS, and BERGER PAINTS are some of the occasionally visiting companies. Top roles are offered in fields like marketing, Finance and information technology. The highest package offered is 8 lacs, and the average is 6 lacs. Every student got internship and it was part of the academics.

An average college because of campus and faculty, placements are very bad.

Placements: The majority of students are those who have a good academic background. The placement here is 50/50. The college will say that they have 100% placement but that's totally wrong. Please take admission at your own risk.

If you are pursuing any other course, then it's good to choose as there is no attendance criterion.

Placements: There are no on-campus placements for B.Com students. Placements are provided by Gujarat University, and even they are conducted for namesake. All the details mentioned on websites and anywhere are related to MBA course. There are not any internship.

A lot of things needs to be improved.

Placements: College doesn't provide any confirm placement support from the institution, neither they avail the students with any kind of placement support even, so students hereby, have to go out and fight the battle of their career own their own only, to get placed in a reputed company in the Industry.

If you are looking for a low budget college, then it is the best college in Ahmedabad.

Placements: The placements are good. Around 80% or more placements are done in the college. In 2018 (senior batch), around 90% or more candidates got placed. The average package offered is around 4 lakhs per annum, the lowest package is around 2 lakhs per annum, and the highest package is around 6 lakhs per annum (both for finance and marketing branches). Companies that visited the campus were Torrent, Radio Mirchi, S&P Global, ICICI Prudential, Asian Paints, Saffron, Lifestyle, HFFC, etc.

If you have any other option, then don't take this.

Placements: The placements are not that good, but the above average students achieve more than 6 LPA package. You need to be the brilliant student of the college if you want to achieve more placements in the college. The average salary package will be approximately two lacks per annum.

The college where I learnt some aspects of life.

Placements: The placement process has been maneuvered in a way that students have an idea about which company would be apt for an individual. Moreover, the faculties also follow up on a regular basis. Though I feel that companies are coming for a placement should have at least 10 vacancies before coming. It should be included in criteria.

Good college for holistic development.

Placements: The students of B.Com in Som-Lalit do not opt for placements. They tend to have different preferences, some of them take up professional courses like CA or computer science. Some of them prepare for exams like CAT or CMAT or other management exams. Many students also prefer to go abroad. Many students have a background in family business, and they tend to join the family business after getting a commerce degree. Some of them take up jobs for the roles like sales, back-end roles etc. in sectors l...

Good college for practical knowledge of MBA

Placements: Placements for the PG programme are quite good. Reputed companies like Asian Paints, ITC, Colgate Palmolive, Housing Finance First and Radio Mirchi visit for the marketing profile. For finance, local companies like Mansukh Securities, S&P Global, etc visited. The average package one gets after post graduation from Som-Lalit varies between 3-4 lakhs. They give a push to the starting phase of your career.

Satisfactory college for commerce graduation

Placements: Most of the students pursuing B.Com do not prefer to take placements. They opt for professional courses like CA or computer science. Some of them also prefer to go abroad to pursue higher education. The remaining few prepare for exams like CAT or CMAT. Some of them also join the family business. Very few of them prefer to work. They are generally offered roles of sales and marketing, back-end office work and such general profiles by the companies. The salary for such work tends to be around 1500...

Average college life at Som-Lalit

Placements: There are no campus placements after B.Com in SLCC. You can apply by yourself and get a good job as SLCC has a good impression in the market and among the corporate. One can undertake an accountant's job, a marketing job, etc. Som-Lalit's administration sometimes suggests places where students can walk in. They have a good reputation with them.

Satisfied because of the faculty and placements.

Placements: The placements for our batch as of now is going strong. We had started the process pre-diwali vacation. So far 20 students have got placed from both campus placement and through reference as well. Till date, the highest package is 6 LPA, and I am not aware of the lowest package. The companies visited till now are mainly from FMCG sector.

Person who is looking for some great education is definitely suitable for them.

Placements: The placements are good, but not that great. It depends upon your performance and capabilities. The average placement structure is 2.5 LPA. The placement cordinator have no great concern for the students. The college placement rules are hilarious. Only 50 percent got placed according to the records. Top MNC comes into the pool campus, and even some of the good respectable company visits directly into the college.

Excellent faculty. The college can achieve better placements.

Placements: The placements for the college are good. They are good regarding return on investment and value for money. But they can be better in the future days. We have companies like S&P Global, Mansukh Securities and Finance Ltd., ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, Asian Paints, ITC, Saffron lifestyle, etc. come for the campus placements. For the previous year 2016-2017 placements, the highest package was about 5 lacs per annum, and the lowest was about 1.8 lacs per annum. The placement process is transpar...

My post graduation college: Its positive peculiarities and shortcomings

Placements: 1. The placements were good. We had our own student committee for placements and that committee worked hard to get everyone placed. We were trained too by the college to succeed in written tests, group discussion and personal interviews. 2. Almost 85% students were placed in my batch. 3. The highest was 5 LPA, the average was like 2.5 LPA to 3 LPA and the lowest was 1-1.5 LPA. 4. Companies like ICICI Bank, ITC, Asian Paints, Colgate and TCS. Some local companies, etc. visited the campus. 5. ...

Management studies should contain more practical knowledge

Placements: Som-Lalit has got actually good placements in the field of marketing. Nestle, Colgate, Sangath Builders and many others come for the placements every year.Last year the highest package offered was 6.5 lacs/annum by Shriram Housing Finance. Marketing executive and sales trainee are the roles various companies offer.

Satisfied with the education provided and the faculty

Placements: The college does not have placements for B.Com. The management shall plan for placements of B.Com students. This can also help students as well as the development of the college. This can make students feel secured about future jobs and motivate them to score better for better opportunities. But none of the senior batches and our batch were given placement facilities in our college.

Satisfied with the faculty

Placements: Placements in our college are both good and average. Last year our college faced some problems in placement procedure. But this time placement procedure started very well. Even our college participated in pool campus also and our college did well in that. This time, the placement procedure started early and is working very smoothly. Many big and multinational companies came for the placement like Nestle, ITC, Colgate and Asian Paints. In our college, marketing people are having more opportunitie...

Our college has a cultural diversity (international students) with awesome infrastructure.

Placements: Placements in our college depend on the merit of your graduation. If you have a good grade in your academics, then there will be high chances in campus placements with the recommendation of faculty members. There are industrial visits. As per your overall performance, if you are good, then there will be high chances to get selected.

Average college having good faculty members.

Placements: No placement guarantee. No senior is selected in placement. The lowest salary offered is one Lacs and the highest 3 Lacs. Very few companies visit campus in B.Com. The percentage of students got an internship in nil. No placement cell in the college. Overall the college is not good for placement.
