The following criteria are used for computing the SCTIMST, Trivandrum cut-off marks for 2023:Seat availability for each specialty: Specialties with fewer available seats have higher cut-off scores.

Quantity of candidates: If more people apply for a given specialty, the cut-off scores are higher.

Level of difficulty on the INI-SS exam: More difficulty on the INI-SS exam results in higher cut-off marks.

The candidate performance: If individuals demonstrate good performance overall, the cut-off marks are higher.

Each category (general, OBC, SC, and ST) and specialty has its own set of cut-off marks.

• The candidate must have completed MBBS or an equivalent degree from a recognised university (Medical Council of India/National Medical Commission), with a one-year compulsory rotatory internship from a medical college of repute
• The candidates must have completed the requisite degree by Jan 31, 2025, for the January session and July 31, 2025 for the July session
• The candidate should have applied for and obtained registration with KSMC/TCMC at the time of admission
• The candidates must not be over forty years of age (as of January 1, 2025, for the January session and July 1, 2025, for the July session) (the upper age limit is relaxable for candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, etc. categories)

The SCTIMST Tirunal MD tuition fee is INR 63,000 per year. Hence, the total tuition fee for the three-year programme is INR 1.89 lakh.  In addition to the tuition fee, MD students are required to pay various other charges, such as an admission fee of INR 2,000, an exam fee of INR 12,000, a refundable security deposit of INR 10,000, etc. The mentioned fees are sourced from the official website of the institute/sanctioning body.
