An honest review of SB College by a graduate.
Placements: Around 30% of students from my batch got placed. The highest salary package is 5.5 LPA, and the lowest was 2 LPA. EY, Accenture, and Federal Bank were the top recruiters. Our course required an internship off campus. So the students should find it all by themselves. As it was compulsory, everyone got an internship.
Infrastructure: There is free Wi-Fi all around the campus, but only for break time. There are large, well-equipped labs for all departments. Classrooms are equipped with projectors. Our library is one of the biggest libraries in Kerala. It's huge and has 5 floors. Hostels are nice, clean, and have a good ambience. There are 3 canteens on the campus. Mess and canteens provide good-quality food. Medical facilities are not provided inside the campus. That's a con. Sports are well encouraged, and many grounds are there.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are well educated, but the main problem is the principal himself. He doesn't have a Ph.D. Teaching quality is top-notch. The syllabus is very updated. Semester exams are not that tough. But semester exams are conducted on a very constrained date. Pass percentage is more than 65%.
Other: I chose B.Com. because it has big scope in the current market. I think they should make the syllabus more flexible and short. Activities are rare in this college. The management won't allow students to conduct programs.

I am satisfied with our college.
Placements: Around 50-70 students got placements from our college. Top recruiting companies are Toyota, Royal Enfield, Infosys, Tata, HDFC Bank, etc. Many students got internships through the placement assistance cell in our college. Top roles offered are accountant and manager.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very modern. The library is top-notch with more than 1,000 journals and online subscribed books. Wi-Fi is available at many corners. Hostels are average. The sports facility is good. There are 4 grounds and 1 indoor stadium. We have 4 canteens in our college.
Faculty: Teaching and non-teaching faculty members are very kind and hardworking. There are qualified teachers. The course curriculum makes students ready for the industry. Semester exams are very easy. The passing mark is 50. It is easy to score.
Other: I love accounting field that's why I chose this course. The bathrooms are air conditioning should improve. Events and fests are here but not frequent but good .

Placements: I completed my B.Com from St. Berchmans College Kottayam. Around 90%+ students were placed in my department. Reputed banks like South Indian Bank, Federal Bank and SBI recruited students from our college. My friends are their employees now. Roles offered in these banks were office assistant clerk and assistant manager.
Infrastructure: In our commerce department, projectors were there for presentations or seminars in every classroom. Library is the heart of the college. The biggest library of MG university was in our college. Lab facility is extraordinary, spacious and neat.
Faculty: Teachers are gems. They help us not only in academics but also provide moral and personal support. Actually the college is an autonomous college, so the results are published within 1-2 months. Difficulty level of exams is above average. The pass percentage was 89 in 2021.
Other: A lot of opportunities are available for this course now. But my focus was to study the pattern of capital marketing and I believe I had done a good job. I think an improvement is required only in the case of social involvement. Teachers should teach how to behave in right way in any worst situation or good situation. The college conducted two fests, one our commerce fest and second the food fest. A number of extracurricular activities are there.

Good infrastructure and worthy to join.
Placements: Almost 40-50 % of students were placed. The highest package is almost 4-9 LPA for MBA programs there UG aided programs may have the lowest of Rs15000. The average is almost Rs 20000. The top recruiting companies are MRF, South Indian Bank, Federal Bank, etc. This differs from course to course. Some courses have internships and some don't. After B.Com you may enter as a Clerk or Head cashier of such banks.
Infrastructure: Many facilities are available like hostels, sports grounds, indoor stadium, common instrumental facility, computer labs, botanical garden, career orientation center, auditorium and conference halls, herbarium, canteen, cafeteria, etc. The hostels are all good and provide great food, sports, and medical facilities.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified and many of them are Ph.D. holders, researchers, etc. TGE faculty members of this college are excellent in various aided departments. There are also some guest lectures. The course curriculum is updated every 3 years so,p they are very relevant. The semester exams aren't that difficult.

Placements: Almost 70% of students got placement's and internships thorough the placement cell in the college. The top recruiting companies includes L&T, TCS, HDFC, SBI Federal Bank, MRF, WIPRO, TATA, Deloite etc. Including a package of Rs. 35000 - 80000 per month. The placement cell is very effective in bringing companies to the college.
Infrastructure: The campus provides free Wi-Fi to all students and all classes are equipped with laptops and projectors with an uninterrupted power supply. The hostel fee is very cheap upto 1000/month and provides good food and basic facilities. The library is a 5 floor building with a large quantity of books and provides the e library facility also.
Faculty: As it is an Autonomous College, tge syllabus is prepared by the curriculum committed in association with the department. The syllabus changes after every 3 years which adapt the students to move to the new information and changes happened in the education sector. The teachers are well qualified and experienced one. College provides different add on courses such as disaster management, basic life support system, Tally erp, courses from other departments etc. Which help to increase the credit of students. The semester exams are conducted under strict supervision and the results are published eithin 2 months after the exam.
Other: The B.Com department in the SB college is one of the prominent departments in Kerala. The students who pass the course has waivers in Acca and CMA Exam papers. There are so many events in the college every day. Every department has their own fests and the commerce department fest has 2 fests unlike others, which are Causerie for college students and Teens causerie for the 11&12 students. There are different clubs in the colleges like eco club, debate club, NSS, NCC Naval&Army etc.
