Master of Business Administration (MBA) - Batch of 2024
Offered by ST.Berchmans Institute of Management Studies (BIMS Kerela)

Best place for PG in Management in Kottayam.
Placements: Big and well-known brands are invited by the college for the placement procedure. The placements and internships here are in a special domain, and each student was allowed to participate in placement and training sessions. Many firms like OYO, KPMG, Axis Bank, and Oppo were invited during my final year. The package depended on the company and role; KPMG offered a good package. Finance and branch-related roles are offered by firms.
Infrastructure: College has a great sports culture; they promote sports, have coaches, and different sports sections. We have spacious classrooms, a seminar hall, and a multistoried library. I stayed in the hostel and there, learned a lot about other students and made lifelong friends. The mess has a hygienic environment, and the rooms are spacious. Bodybuilding and physical health events are part of the annual fest.
Faculty: College alumni and teachers guide us in tough situations. Many alumni help students by giving their referrals. Teachers are really friendly; they don't have any ego problems. They provide study material. The course curriculum is affiliated with MG Kottayam University, which is really good. However, the rechecking of papers takes a lot of time, and declaring the results of rechecking is a lengthy process. More than 90 percent of our batch is passing.
Other: The college fees are nearly 3 lakhs for two years, excluding other expenses. It is really good compared to other colleges.

Best place to do MBA in terms of Return on Investment.
Placements: About 70% of the students got placed. The highest package was 7 Lacs to the lowest package of 2 Lacs. Average package was 4 Lacs. Top recruiters included EY, ITC, KPMG, Berger Paints, Pepsico etc. Almost 100% of our batchmates got opportunity to do internship with top companies according to specialisations they are into.
Infrastructure: Facilities and Infrastructures were good, not the best. But for the fee structure the facilities provided are okay. There is a Large library for all streams and a specialised library for Business Management as self. Computer Labs and Classrooms are good. Classrooms had free Wi-Fi assistance for learning purpose. Hostel life is just awesome. Good Food from Mess. Sports and Games are given much importance in the college. There is space for all sort of Sport and game activities.
Faculty: We had well educated, experienced and trained Faculty. Most of them had Experience from various industries. Hence they are knowledgeable and had a good teaching quality. The curriculum is best and brings out a highly professional manager once he/she is out from the college after the completion of the course.

I am satisfied with our college.
Placements: The placement cell of the college focuses on students career. Placement opportunities provided to the students are average. The salary package offered was 3 LPA to 4 LPA. Mainly, the companies visiting the campus recruit for sales and finance sectors. Placements for HR specialisation is comparatively low in the college.
Infrastructure: The entire campus is enabled with Wi-Fi facility. Classrooms are good and air-conditioned. The computer lab is good. There is a good library for students career. There are medical facilities. Sports and games facilities in the college are good. There are inter-department and inter-college sports conducted in a year.
Faculty: Faculty members of the college are helpful regarding studies and personal issues too. There are mentors for all students. The college provides a facility to interact with faculty members. They are highly knowledgeable. The college provides new technological services.
Other: The college conducts a national level fest named, Berchnova for MBA. The fest is superb. The participation of faculty members is low. It is completely student-driven. Faculty members force the students to participate in extracurricular activities.

Good placements, infrastructure, and faculty at BIMS.
Placements: The placement cell is very supportive of all the students. 60% of the students got placed in several multinational companies. The placement cell helps us to crack placement interviews easily. There are very supportive faculty members and this college is the best choice to make a successful career.
Infrastructure: A high-level infrastructure can be seen at our college. Free Wi-Fi, smart classrooms, high-speed internet facility, etc. are available at our campus. A synthetic football court and several game courts are available in our college. Also, Asia's largest library is situated in our college.
Faculty: The faculty members in our college are very supportive. They work together as a family. There is no negativity by our faculty members. Each faculty member is highly knowledgeable and supportive of each and every student, there are no words to explain it.
Other: The college conducts several co-curricular activities like fests, exhibitions, etc.

An experience you'll cherish forever.
Placements: 100 percentage placement is guaranteed for students with no back papers. A good number of reputed corporates like EY, Coca Cola, HDFC bank, ICICI bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, ITC, Future Group, Aditya Birla, Axis Bank etc have been selecting students from BIMS over the years. Several other companies are also present. Marketing specialised students are the ones having the greatest exposure. There is a dedicated placement training programme to help the students get placements. Placement training is there for the whole 2 years. Staff members and placement coordinators are fully committed to providing the students with good exposure into the corporate world. Placements for the last two batches were excellent. Last year almost 80% secured placements while this year the figure ran up to 90%. The lowest salary offer was 2 lakh per annum and the highest was 7 lakh per annum. Students acquire roles such as Area sales coordinator, Department Manager, Junior accounts manager, Financial analyst, Talent acquisition manager, Sales Coordinator, Warehouse Manager, B to B relationship builders, CRM etc. All the students are required to complete a 2-month internship programme with a reputed firm situated outside Kerala. The stipends range from 2000 a month to 5000 rupees.
Infrastructure: All the classrooms have Wi-Fi connections. There is a central library as well as a dedicated library for the MBA department. There is a sports centre and a gym is present in the Men's hostel.
The quality of food available from the canteen is average. You can have your food from outside the campus if you have to.
Hostel rooms are neat and clean. Only a small amount is remitted for the rooms. The bathroom is also hygienic. The college also has a fully functional computer lab.
Faculty: The faculty members were very helpful and friendly. Most of the faculty members hold a PhD in their respective fields and are very knowledgeable in their respective subjects.
Classroom lectures were the main teaching methods used. Case studies, projects, research topics and assignments are also given to the students.
The student to faculty ratio is 8:1. Industry exposure is readily available with students getting industrial training from companies like V-Guard. The course curriculum which consisted of 4 semesters was very helpful. Add on courses such as Digital marketing are also present.
Other: The MBA programme is not a residential course. There is no mandate to stay in the hostel. Class times start at 9 in the morning and end at 5.30 in the evening. There is a lunch break which is about 1 hour and some breaks are given in between sessions. The course also consists of a 2-month internship as well as a 2-month project.
