Go only if you are absolutely sure that you can make three years course work out for you.

Placements: The placements are not up to the-mark that one may have thought at the beginning, since not many companies are willing to hire just freshly minted undergrads, in the sense that they look for some industry exposure, and some also look at your parallel certifications.

I am highly dissatisfied with the quality of our faculty members.

Placements: Different companies used to come on campus to conduct placement programs. We were offered roles in finance, bookkeeping, taxation, management trainees, and others. Around 30% of students get placement through college, and we gain lots of experience otherwise.

I would recommend joining this college for this course. But for our batch i.e online not worth it.

Placements: It is a B.Sc honors course so almost every student will go for higher studies. There are no such placements for these types of courses. One may do internships on their own with some skills like python, C, R, as an aspiring data analyst. If anyone has some good skills, then they may get placed with an average salary. But I will strongly suggest going for higher studies will be the best option.

Every student of this college hates the administration.

Placements: None of the students I have known has got placed anywhere. It's completely on one's part to seek for it. If one has a good rapport with professors, then they may get you some internships, that too it isn't always the case. If one expects any internships, then this is not the place.

Review of St. Xavier's College Kolkata.

Placements: Placements are mostly offered for finance students but not for other departments. Marketing students don't have good opportunities. Computer science students have good placements, but the kind of jobs which our college is proving is very sad. We should have better placements.

It is an average college but not that awesome.

Placements: Almost 70 students from our batch got placed. I don't know about the highest salary package college offered, but they will charge more for this course. It will cost more when you get admission in the evening batch. We had a chance to get a job in the bank and any CA firm, so it is not much good.

Dissatisfied with infrastructure and college politics.

Placements: The placement are good. I won't say exceptional but they are good. You have giants like EY, KPMG, Tata, google, etc. Visiting the campus every year. These are just to name a few. In addition to these there are many local business startups that give Xaviers a visit.

The infrastructure of the college is good, but I'm dissatisfied with the faculty.

Placements: As far as the placements are concerned, the placements of the college are not good enough. However, the college provides us with numerous opportunities for internships in companies like Oyo, Uber, and many others. Only a few companies visit to recruit the fresh graduates.

Extremely dissatisfied with the placements. However, the quality of faculty members is the best.

Placements: Only 2-3 companies visited the college to offer placements for our department. In those companies, often, the students from other departments are shortlisted. Our course offered a range of subjects like journalism, PR, marketing, filmmaking etc. The placement cell helped us a bit to get placed. Almost three students from every batch got placed through the placement cell. NDTV and Viacom 18 are the only A-listers visiting the college, but their recruitment is not assured every year. For example, ...

The college is decently functional, moderately impressing, importantly strict and needlessly famous.

Placements: I did not get placed. The students from St. Xavier's College, Kolkata studying Mass Communication and videography want placements. It was depressing considering the amount of money invested in the course of the curriculum. I hope things get better with time.

Dissatisfied with the faculty but it has good infrastructure and reputation.

Placements: I was a part of the B.Sc degree of Multimedia and Animation at St. Xavier's College, Kolkata. We had the option to pursue a masters or graduate post the bachelor's degree, and ours was the first batch to have this option. While about 27 out of 65 students decided to stay back and pursue masters, the rest of us decided to graduate and continue an M.Sc elsewhere or enter the job field. The one who did graduate were not allowed to sit for the placements as that option is applicable only once we do ...

A big name in the college industry but not so good from inside.

Placements: There are placement cells in our college, but as our subject has great scope for future study and good prospects of getting a job, so there are no trends from our department to get a job after B.Sc. Most importantly, the companies which come know that a statistics student won't be happy with that role or that salary as they have every chance to get a lot more salary after two more years. So the prospect is bleak.

Good faculty and teaching.

Placements: Our college has a dynamic placement cell. There are many organisations, for example, Deloitte, PWC, Future First, etc which come each year to choose students from the college from the bachelors of commerce office. Furthermore, in the current past, Google has been likewise going ahead a consistent premise to choose students from the college. The college placement cell likewise provides entry-level positions in different organisations, for example, HSBC Bank and Futures First. ...

Probably one of the best colleges in the country for Commerce. The faculty members are kind of mix. Few of the faculty are very nice but some of them are relatively new. The only stressful part is that the college used to start at 6.00 in the morning. In terms of the brand the college carries a very good name but the placements cell is still very weak. There are hardly any news of good placements other than some back office jobs.

The good aspect about the college is that you learn how to manage your time and how to present yourself. You learn presentation skill and also exposure to outside world is good. The bad aspects is infrastructure not properly built up and less recreational.

What you think about Xavier's from outside, it is not what actually it is. The academic brilliance of the college has gone down, the teacher-student relationship there is not at all commendable. Trying to spoon-feed at Graduation level, and handing over notes just to mug them up and write them in college exams have not been of much help. However, campus life is great fun.

It is a good college, and you can opt for it.

Placements: I don't have any experience in placements. I know that the highest salary package offered is 18 LPA. Apart from this, I have heard from other people that placements are pretty decent. Our college encourages internship programs.

The college is not satisfactory for the placement part and has average infrastructure.

Placements: Students scoring consistently high marks are the ones to get placed from good companies. They took the interview also matters for the placement. Top companies come to our college for the selection of the candidates. The extra courses, along with the college course, give extra privilege.

No top companies come for recruitment.

Placements: No top company came to recruit from our college. We are left with a few good companies and some local ones which offer minimum salaries. Less than half of the students were placed even before the pandemic started in 2020.

Good for the students career and overall development.

Placements: Placement is a thing where every student must get chance, either in studies and specialisation considering his /her other ability but Xavier's lacks in this regard. Students coming from low English background have to struggle more. College can improve more.
