Placements: The campus placement that is provided in our college is simply wonderful and mostly everyone will be placed in some company and some in top companies. The salary package is also reasonable. Companies like E&Y, CTS, TCS, etc. come for placements in our college. Proper tests are held for us before recruiting.
Placements: Stella Maris is a place full of promises and dreams. Every student steps out as a shining star. Placements are as easy as doing cake walks. Big companies knock the doors of this college. Students trained here are considered very experienced and eligible due to the renowned name of the college itself.
Placements: The placements are good but they are not open to all. Only a few students get placed. We get a job as an analyst and normally, 90% of them are not happy. The salary is satisfactory for most of the students and the selected students do have a good experience working with them.
Placements: Students with an average of 60 percentage were eligible to apply for the various companies. Being a science student, we weren't offered many companies and the ones offered were also not under our discipline in most cases. Salary ranged from 10 thousand to a maximum of 17 thousand maybe. Most of the companies were IT and banks. As told before, the roles weren't from our discipline so we had to change the course.
Placements: Companies like Google and Capgemini came for placements. But in my particular department, we prefer to pursue higher education or get employment in organisations that deal with pharmaceuticals and drugs. You only have a chance of scoring a good, decent job if you have a postgraduate degree.
Placements: The career guidance cell at the college is extremely helpful for the students. There are various companies which provide good jobs to the students. For example, jobs like copy editors, writers, teachers etc. The salary starts from Rs. 10,000 and it varies with each job. The maximum I have seen is about 1 lakh.
Placements: Being one of the most famous and top colleges in Chennai, the campus placements are good. A large number of companies visits our campus every year. The college also sets up Global Fairs regularly within the campus. Companies hire students across various departments pertaining to the nature of works offered. Last year, companies such as google also visited our college. The departments also conduct workshops and seminars regularly in order to equip the students with the knowledge needed for survi...
Placements: There are usually a lot of placement announcers on campus and most of the arts and commerce students get easier placements than science students. We have had companies like Google, Goldman Sachs, etc. which visited our college and recruited students for internships too. Students were offered the positions related to logistics, content writing, and accounting.
Placements: As far as I know, companies like The Hindu, The New Indian Express come for placements for our English department, out of which, a few were placed. No idea about the salary offered. No internships are offered from our college. Internships are not made mandatory.
Placements: The placements were done based on the candidate's ability to handle situations. The content of the syllabus provides the basis to perform well in the interviews. About 50% of the students got placed. About 50% received internships based on their interests.
Placements: There weren't many placements. The companies that visited our college for science streams were limited. Out of the few that got placed, one or two chose to take up their jobs. Companies like Zoho, Goldman Sachs, Ernst and Young, McKenzie, and a few other visited to offer backend jobs with training for students.
Placements: Some of my seniors got placed in Google. Many leading companies offer the placement in my college and many of them are placed. Students who apply for internships also get a quick response because of the reputation of the college. The college has a career guidance cell where students can seek help from the faculty members about the career opportunities.
Placements: The college has the best placements. They motivate the students to get enrolled in the placement. There are many companies which visit the campus for placement like Google, RBS, Goldman Sachs. There are many companies which offer an internship opportunity for the students. One of my friends got one lakh. These are very useful for the students.
Placements: Our batch was the first to get the placement in top most companies of Chennai like Cognizant, Goldman Sachs etc. The highest salary offered was Rs. 15000. Being a fresher, the salary was a great start for them. Also, they get a chance to meet the artist to work for the art Chennai exhibition.
Placements: Being a second-year student, I don't really have first-hand information on how the placement cell at Stella works, but I guess it's as good as any. Companies like Google and Goldman Sachs hire students from our college, so I guess the cell has an extensive reach and is fully functional.
Placements: Though the career guidance cell is available, most of the announcements do not reach the students. Due to high standards of the college, many renowned companies become recruiters in the campus interviews. Students are well trained through seminars and workshops.
Placements: The college is very helpful when it comes to placements. They guide the students efficiently and the career guidance cell plays a vital role when it comes to the placements. The college also holds various training sessions and has different campus selections from many reputed companies. Students are also guided by their respective departments and faculty members with regards to placements.
Placements: Placements were quite good. Many of my batchmates and seniors landed jobs in TCS, CTS, Facebook, etc. Not sure about the highest or the lowest salary offered. Internships are mostly procured by the students themselves. However, EY, Goldman Sachs and a few others do take interns.
The quality of the college is really good. It molds us completely. It also empowers students. It has an eco-friendly campus. It should focus more on cultural activities because it always focuses on academics. Must have more sports and clubs. Timing is very convenient. Extra pressure on students.
The college has a great atmosphere with a very old legacy in place. It’s an all girl's college with almost 3000 plus students. It has two shifts, morning and evening. The buildings are old and in-spite of it being in the heart of the city it has a lush green campus. The auditorium is big and can accommodate 1000 plus students at a time. It gives a lot of opportunities to young women, in terms of sports, theatre and co-curricular activities. The placements are really good with an average of 4 lak...
