Assistance is provided but not very much.

Placements: Our college will guide you for your placements and interview skills, but very few companies visit this campus. So, I suggest you to upgrade your skills for off-campus placements, but those skills should not be certificate-based skills. You should improve yourselves because companies which visit this campus or any college do not surely give you a job. You can update yourself regularly but not through NPTEL as it's a hoax.

Absolutely dissatisfied because the fees is more but no placements happens for mechanical.

Placements: 1. ). 65 % of students were placed in our course. 2. ). 1.5 Lacs package but that was pool campus. 3. ). Non Top Companies Recruitment for our course, the course fees is very much but the college did not offer 100% placement to students as they tell during admission.

The staff and infrastructure was all over good excluding the management and placement.

Placements: This college placed me in a fake company, the name of the company was "go speedy go". My posting was in Bhubaneswar, at first of my joining the company taken 25000 rupees as a security money but the company was not able to pay the salary. I worked there for 3 months. Then I informed my college but college authority didn't took any step. And not only me there were many students from my college. All over our college played with our lives.

A very good engineering college in the JIS group.

Placements: The placements for CSE and ECE department is very good. The students of my batch were placed in many reputed MNCs like TCS, CTS, Wipro, Zensar, Capgemini and Tech Mahindra. The faculty and Training and Placement facilities are good enough and if a student is hard working enough he/she can get placed in a reputed MNC. Over all the college is good for engineering especially the CSE and ECE departments.

It's an average college in West Bengal.

Placements: Placements in our college are very poor like in all other colleges. But, some of the students got good placements. The maximum students didn't get good placements. Most of the companies offered sales roles for B.Tech students. But now, the college is working on it. From our batch, more than 75% of the students didn't get placed from campus.

If you are not getting any good colleges, then you can come to this college.

Placements: The placements are average around 50%. Good companies rarely visit the campus. The average salary packages students get is 2-3 lacs per annum. Placement cell is averagely good, but it needs improvement. The college needs to provide a quality education for better future of the students.

Not satisfied with the decision took in 2015.

Placements: As per the reviews from the seniors. Placement was not all good. One of my senior was given a job of a labour in one of the company during his training period. No top company comes for the job. Some low standard company giving job in far away states with salary 10k or like that.

Bad college, loss of money.

Placements: In civil engineering only 4 students placed in my batch. Previous years no campusing. Only high tuition fees compared to other college. Only pool campusing was organised. I thought to get job from pool campusing but most of the companies was from marketing and IT domain.

Everything is good, except placements.

Placements: A maximum of 20% of the students was placed in our department, and not in our domain. We have heard from our seniors that the situation was same for them too. All the interviews take place in other colleges, rather in than our college. So the maximum of the selected candidates was from other colleges.

I am not fully satisfied with this college. It needs more improvement.

Placements: The placements are very poor in this college. 30% of the students were placed from this college from our department. The highest salary offered is 1 LPA. The companies visited this college are Tech Mahendra, Pinnacle, Roto Dyne, Vap tech, maven, Simplex, etc., but most of the companies are the call centre and IT. Only one company was from core sector name Roto Dyne. There is a placement cell in our college. But it's not efficient or useful.

Disappointed with the placement department and management.

Placements: The placement is very poor for the civil engineering department. The college brought some BPO companies like Amazon, BYJUS for the civil engineering department. SIMPLEX and Sapoorji hired 7 students in a pool campusing. The college brought one or two small construction companies, and they wanted to pay a pittance which may not be sufficient for labours. The condition of other department is same almost except Automobile engineering department. They got good placements. ...

The placement is less than average. Good infrastructure and very good facilities.

Placements: The placements of our college are not so good. Hardly 40% of the total students got placed on campus. Hardly 4-5 companies visited our college and the highest salary offered was rupees 3.5 lpa. Only a few students got the opportunity to get that package. So, overall, from my point of view, this college is not good for placements.

A moderate experience with good faculty, good workshops and honest efforts from everybody

Placements: The faculty members of Automobile and mechanical departments were the best in this college. Job opportunities are also high for the above two departments. The average package is 4-4.2 lakhs/annum. Being a pass out of 2015, I had the opportunity to appear in the placement process of Tata AIG, Simplex Infrastructure and Tech Mahindra. The college also provides assistance in pool campus drives. The faculty members are very helpful, and the college also hosts intra and inter-college tournaments but ...

Placements: Below average placements last year, although the placements were average this year. The highest salary was around 3 LPA with the lowest being 1.5 LPA. 50% of students were placed. The companies which visited include ITC Infotech, Simplex, Tech Mahindra, Pinnacle and a few more. Roles offered to students were junior engineers.

JIS is the place to be for a postgraduate

Placements: Lots of companies come for placements but mainly for the computer science background. Very few core companies come. Major recruiters are mainly TCS and other IT-sector companies but all the students are well-placed either on-campus or off-campus. The highest package was given by TCS at 3.56 lacs for a MTech student and 3.26 lacs for a BTech student.

Dissatisfied because of poor placements.

Placements: Placement in our stream is very poor. No core company only IT companies recruited us and that also through pool campusing. Only about 20% of students got recruited from our branch with avg salary of 2.5 lpa. The college is now sending mails related to BPO jobs only with quite low packages. Another drawback is that in Kolkata there is hardly any automotive market so pursuing automobile engineering from this college didn't turn out fruitful.

The true view of Dr. Sudhir Chandra Sur Degree Engineering College.

Placements: This year in CSE, there were 24 placements out of 60 as per the college site. I don't know about the highest but the average salary offered was 5 lacs per annum. Tech Mahindra, Wipro, Infosys, Oracle, IBM, etc visited. I don't know about the kind of roles were offered to students. 33% of students got internships from the college.
