Course Curriculum Structuring for BCA at T.N.B. College

Based on the feedback from various students and alumni, here's an overview of the course curriculum structure for BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications) at T.N.B. College:

    * Teaching Methods: According to several reviews, the teaching methods used by professors are traditional and old-fashioned. Teachers mostly focus on covering the entire syllabus without providing hands-on experience or practical applications.
    * Industry Exposure: Unfortunately, most students reported limited opportunities for industry exposure and no direct interaction with professionals in the field.
    * Quality of Education: While teachers are generally helpful and well-qualified, the overall quality of education seems to be average, with some reviewers mentioning outdated material and lack of emphasis on real-world skills.
    * Semester Exams: Several students mentioned that semester exams are relatively easy, with a tendency to repeat previous year's questions.
    * Course Material: Reviews suggest that the course material may not be entirely relevant to current industry needs, making it challenging for graduates to find employment.
    * Project Work: Although some students appreciated the opportunity to work on projects, others felt that these assignments were often incomplete or poorly guided.

It is essential to consider these factors when evaluating the course curriculum at T.N.B. College for pursuing a BCA degree. While the college does have its strengths, such as helpful teachers and a decent infrastructure, improvements could be made to enhance the learning experience and prepare students better for the industry.

    A:

Effectiveness of Placement Cell for BCA Courses at T.N.B. College

Based on the feedback from students and alumni, the effectiveness of the placement cell for BCA courses at T.N.B. College is:

    * Poor: None of the companies visited the college for recruitment, and most students who wanted to pursue a career in programming and computers joined other colleges for higher studies.

    * No Efforts Made: The college does not seem to put in any effort to arrange internships, industrial visits, or industry-specific training programs for its students.

    * Limited Facilities: The college's infrastructure is moderate, with limited facilities such as classrooms, labs, and library resources, which may affect the overall learning experience of students.

    * Lack of Supportive Faculty: Some permanent teachers and guest faculty members are knowledgeable, but others focus more on completing the syllabus and making money by selling pre-made projects to students.

Overall, the placement cell seems to be ineffective in providing opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience, develop skills, and secure employment in the industry.

Overall, the college is average in terms of faculty and placement.
Placements: Only 10-15 percent of students got placed through campus placements at my college. Sadly, very few small companies come to hire students from our college. The highest package is 6 Lacs per annum, the lowest package is 1 Lacs per annum, and the average package is 2-3 Lacs per annum. TCS is one of the top recruiting companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my college is not good. The buildings are very old. The extra facilities such as Wi-Fi, lab, and library are available. The hostel facility is also not good. The quality of food available in the mess and canteen is below average and hygienic. The games and sports are annually held in my college.
Faculty: The teachers are very authentic and helpful for the students. The teachers at my college are well qualified and very scholarly in their subjects. The semester exams are moderate, not too tough to pass. Semester-wise exams are held in my college.
Other: I chose this course because through this course, many scopes are open. The computer lab facility should be improved. But this TNB College, Bhagalpur, is a very famous and ancient college in India.

Time placement should be done. And time to time semester exam. Should be done.
Placements: In our college, no placement opportunity comes, no single company comes for hiring, and the last thing many students join some internships from the internet medium and any recomendation medium. These are the worst about placement.
Infrastructure: Quite good about infrastructure and yes one thing about the faculty is good and cooperative with us. And medical, sports, canteen and all games are available here from time to time conducted by a college so the student can enjoy the study also.
Faculty: Yes, our college teacher is helpful to us. They are kind and honest sometimes our course is late due to some region then after our teacher they trying their best of best facilities. One last thing about our semester exam wants to tell you it is always late one year.
Other: Because I want to study and learn programming to became a software engineer.

Our college is an average college for general and vocational studies.
Placements: There were no placements in our college. It is up to you to decide what to do next. After MCA, you can participate in an internship and better opportunities. Top roles were offered in public and private companies.
Infrastructure: Our college had three classrooms with Wi-Fi and a library. The infrastructure was not good. There were approximately 50 computers in labs but the practical was poor and there was no assistance. The hostel fee was Rs.7,000 to Rs.8,000. There was no canteen and no good medical facilities. Sports and games were available and you could participate in them.
Faculty: There was one permanent teacher and others were guest faculty members. The teacher only focused on completing the syllabus and selling readymade projects to all semester students. He took a large amount from them. There was a lot of discretion and discrimination such as attendance by proxy and low marks in internal exams if you are not taking tuition from him.
Other: For future opportunities and higher education, our college needs to improve in areas like administration, infrastructure, and teachers.
