    A:
    {Source: BBA students & alumni}

Is it worth pursuing BBA at The Oxford College of Business Management (TOCBM)?

After reviewing student and alumni reviews, here's a summary of the key points:

    Teaching and Curriculum:

    * Teachers are generally helpful and effective in their teaching methods.
    * The curriculum offers a balance between theoretical and practical learning, with around 65% of the programme dedicated to practical applications.
    * Subjects are mostly practical, and students appreciate the hands-on experience.

    Placement and Internship Opportunities:

    * Placement records are mixed, with some students receiving good packages (e.g., 7-10 LPA) while others get lower ones (e.g., 2.5-3.5 LPA).
    * Companies like Infosys, Deloitte, Oracle, and Airtel have visited the campus.
    * Around 70-80% of companies offer decent packages, but only 10% of students secure internships.

    Infrastructure and Facilities:

    * Infrastructure is average, with no air-conditioning in classrooms and limited Wi-Fi access.
    * The canteen is functional but lacks amenities, and there is no separate hostel.
    * Medical facilities are non-existent, and sports facilities are limited.

    Overall Experience:

    * The college focuses on practical learning, making students industry-ready.
    * Faculty is relatively cooperative, and the teaching quality is good.
    * While there are limitations, the college provides a solid foundation for further education.

Based on these factors, whether or not pursuing BBA at TOCBM is "worth it" ultimately depends on individual priorities and expectations. For those seeking a strong theoretical foundation and practical experience, the college may be a suitable choice. However, prospective students should be aware of the potential variability in placement outcomes and limited facilities.

The college offers an innovative curriculum that adapts to industry trends.
Placements: Last year for the senior, companies like Accenture and different MNCs came for placement. But the majority of the students got placed in TCS and Infosys. The college placement cell is proactive and ensures students are well-prepared for interviews. Top companies visit the campus, and many students secure jobs before graduation.
Infrastructure: Well, our college has provided us with a wonderful library, which is on 3 floors; each floor has a different department book. The library offers a quiet, well-maintained environment perfect for focused study. The vast collection of books and online resources helps students easily find the materials they need.
Faculty: We have very well-rounded and experienced teachers. But currently most of them are newly graduated teachers. The curriculum is well-structured, offering a mix of theory and practical application. It provides a broad understanding of core subjects while allowing room for specialization. However, some topics may need more real-world integration.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of the faculty, placement, ambience, and lack of facilities .
Placements: It was very less during my time since all of us were hit by COVID, most of the companies were from BPO and sales industry, and none of our batch mates were given internship. The companies that approached us were Wipro and Kotak Life. Most of the students weren't interested in giving interview due to the job industry .
Infrastructure: Facilities are average; there is no AC in our classroom; there is no proper canteen; there are no proper games and sports; there aren't any medical facilities provided for emergency cases; the canteen food is hygienic and uncooked; and the food court is hygienic but not well maintained.
Faculty: Out of 10, only 4 faculty members are well suited; most of the time, students do self-study due to a lack of quality; semester exams aren't that difficult to pass. The curriculum courses were not taken seriously, and the and the faculty weren't supportive of sports or any other activities other than teaching .
Other: I really wish to improve the curriculum of the college by organizing more seminars fests, hiring quality-based faculty, providing more placement opportunities, and playing sports .

Exploring The Oxford College of Business Management .
Placements: It's good, but you have to do hard work. The placement at TOCBM is almost unpredictable. Some students receive a really good package, while others get a very low one; it depends on the portfolio and the interview. Mostly, the interviews matter a lot. If you perform well there, you will definitely get a good job. Recently, in the Infosys placement drive, 10-15 students received packages in the range of 7-10 LPA, which is a good package. However, there are also some companies that offer packages of 2.5-3.5 LPA. Many placement drives are conducted by other companies like Deloitte, Airtel, Oracle, etc. Teachers are very helpful as they assist us in every situation. The teaching quality is good, and they teach effectively. Most of our subjects are practical; they provide us with fully Wi-Fi-equipped labs and comfortable spaces. Exams in our department are manageable if you are well-prepared.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good and well-maintained. Any type of drugs is not allowed inside. The classrooms are good but a little hot because there's no AC. They sometimes use projectors and the concept of digital labs to teach the students. There's no Wi-Fi facility for students, but you can access Office Wi-Fi, limited to only 35 MB. The canteen has the same story: initially, you get space, but after that, you have to stand and eat. They have a limited number of extra-curricular activities and don't have a personal playground; they rent one occasionally. They don't have medical facilities but do have a peaceful library where you can even sleep. Teachers are very helpful as they assist us in every situation. The teaching quality is good, and they teach effectively. Most of our subjects are practical; they provide us with fully Wi-Fi-equipped labs and comfortable spaces. Exams in our department are manageable if you are well-prepared.
Faculty: The faculty overall is good. They are always ready to help and teach. Most of the faculty are well-educated and explain the topics well, but as a fresher, you may find some problems with the faculty because they themselves might be inexperienced. Some faculty members are always there to help students develop their ideas. Overall, the faculty is good and qualified. Many students have noted that the curriculum includes a balance of theoretical and practical learning. This mix helps students gain hands-on experience, which is crucial for personal and professional development. The focus on practical applications, such as in marketing and finance, is appreciated by some students for its role in preparing them for industry challenges. The college places emphasis on practical learning, with about 65% of the curriculum dedicated to hands-on experience. Regarding the difficulty of semester exams, students report that the exams can be challenging, especially if one does not keep up with the coursework throughout the semester. Teachers are very helpful as they assist us in every situation. The teaching quality is good, and they teach effectively. Most of our subjects are practical; they provide us with fully Wi-Fi-equipped labs and comfortable spaces. Exams in our department are manageable if you are well-prepared.

I am absolutely dissatisfied with the faculty.
Placements: Airtel, Quest, and Wipro approached our college. Our college has many options for BCA. BBA students get placements and internships. Many MNCs approach our college to hire students. About 70% to 80% of companies give good packages.
Infrastructure: The classrooms and library are well cleaned and good. Labs are also good. Classrooms are neat and well functional. There is also a seminar hall and an auditorium where we celebrate the occasions and freshers' days.
    Faculty: The curriculum is good.
Other: Our college has many events and has won many awards. We have many festivals and all are celebrated well. Fests are also held every year. All the functions are being celebrated well in the first year. The college has a budget management competition, where the college gave me the first award for winning it. There are many competitions which are among many colleges all over Karnataka.

Review of Oxford College of Business Management.
Placements: Placements are few with the average package too low. The highest salary package may be up to 5 to 6 LPA. Airtel, Byjus, and Target are the top companies. Only 10% get internships, not in any reputed companies. Top roles are like sales manager or marketing head or financial manager etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are average. College does not have a ground but a good canteen to hang out. Hostel facilities are not known but the canteen and the mess are normal. Medical facilities are not known and the sports and games are for those who are interested.
Faculty: Teachers are sometimes helpful and sometimes not, depending on the performance of the students. The course is relevant and the same as what a Bachelor of business administration is taught. The difficulty level of the semester varies as every semester has its difficulty level.
Other: Choosing this course is like freedom and focusing on other major skills which we need to be more successful ahead in the future that is to create a mission and vision of our own set of goals.
