CEED was conducted from 10 am to 1 pm today, January 18, 2020. Candidates who took CEED exam shared that the exam was easy with respect to difficulty level.

CEED 2020 Student Reaction & Review

CEED 2020 exam was conducted across 24 test cities on January 18. The exam was  to end at 1 pm but students were allowed to exit the test centre after 15 minutes only. Candidates shared that this was done because answer booklets for Part B of the exam were being collected in the exam hall. Candidates need to clear CEED exam to secure admission in MDes course offered at IITs, IISc Bangalore, IIITDM Jabalpur as well as other colleges that accept CEED scores for admission.

IIT Bombay changed CEED exam pattern this year. CEED 2020 had two sections- Part A and Part B. In CEED Part A  exam, aspirants had to answer objective type questions whereas Part B of the exam had subjective questions which candidates needed to answer on a separate answer booklet.

Shiksha covered the exam at CEED exam centre located at Mathura Road where around 1,000 students took the exam. Most of the students who took the exam shared that they found CEED 2020 to be simple.

CEED 2020 Exam Analysis & Difficulty Level

Karan Sharma shared that CEED 2020 was tough and lengthy this year. He said CEED exam pattern has changed slightly as compared to last year’s paper. He shared that he could not attempt all the questions in Part A of the exam as it was time taking. He also added that candidates who prepared well for the exam would have found it easier than him. About the drawing paper, he shared that it was easier as compared to MCQ paper.

Rishabh Hura shared that CEED 2020 question paper for both parts was easier than last year. He said the candidates who attempted all the questions in MCQ paper would score good marks in the exam. He shared that part A had some tricky questions and, part B had questions from different design specialization like Graphic Design, Animation, and Industrial Design.

Another candidate Nipun Sharma from Gurugram, currently pursuing Bachelors in Fine Arts (BFA) degree appeared for CEED 2020 at this test centre. He shared that the paper this year was easier as compared to last year, and that majority of the test-takers would be able to score well in the examination.

Divya shared that the CEED 2020 question paper for part A was interesting as it was not entirely knowledge based rather it had logical reasoning and analytical questions.  She said the exam duration was sufficient to complete the question paper. About the drawing paper, she said that it was lengthy and candidates need to work on time management and speed in order to perform well. For her, it was an average question paper in terms of difficulty level.

Shivani shared that for her the question paper was neither tough nor easy. She said that part A was easier than part B, that ism the sketching paper. However, she added that part B was lengthy paper. Compared to last year, there were no optional question in CEED 2020 drawing paper.

Ankit shared that the question paper was easy but it was lengthy. He said that part A of the question paper included analytical and mathematics questions. Whereas, part B was time taking as it required detailed sketching.

Another candidate, Sakshi Saxena shared that CEED 2020 had two parts, and the second part, i.e., sketching was easy. It was an easy paper as compared to CEED 2019. About part A, she said the question paper was moderately difficult and not lengthy for her. However, she was expecting sketching paper to be difficult but thankfully, it was easy.

Saurav Singh said the CEED exam this year was more organised than last year. He said that even though, it was his first attempt he found the question paper to be easy which he wasn’t expecting. In addition, CEED 2020 exam pattern was same as last year and the question paper was similar to sample papers and mock tests he had solved.
