National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), New Delhi

Ranked number 1 with an average salary of Rs 6,80,000, NIFT Delhi has proved yet again that it still beats all the design colleges in India.

NIFT was set up in Delhi in 1986 and became a full-fledged functioning campus in 1994. The campus was designed by Dr B.V. Doshi and is designated as one of Delhi's modern iconic architecture. It is built on the concept of a central step-well to retain rainwater, a traditional Indian Baoli, and is listed as one of the city's modern iconic architecture. • On-Campus Placements: This simply means that the participating/ hiring companies have to register for campus placements. After the confirmation of participation, the institute then communicates the time and date for them to come to the campus for the placement procedure. For this session, due to COVID-19, the companies can choose a hybrid or virtual placement process for further going through the placement procedure if not the On-campus style of placement.

• Pre-Placement Offers (PPO): Under this, the companies can simply offer jobs to students before the on-campus placement. To provide a fair opportunity to all, students who are offered the jobs are not allowed to participate in the On-Campus placement.
