Application process & eligibility criteria for CEED 2016

CEED 2016 is being conducted by IIT Bombay on December 6, 2015. CEED exam paper is divided into two parts – Part A and Part B. Aspirants need to clear both the CEED exam parts in order to secure admission in MDes as well as PhD programmes offered at various IITs and IISc Bangalore.

It has also been informed that: If ‘N’ is the total number of seats available in all the participating colleges in CEED, then approximately the top ‘10xN’ candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in Part A.

Thus, Part A of the exam will be considered as a screening test. If aspirants qualify this exam, then only Part B of the exam undertaken by them will be evaluated.  

The CEED score of aspirants will be valid for one year following the declaration of results.

CEED 2016 Eligibility

Aspirants will be eligible to apply for CEED 2016 if they have completed or are about to complete any of the below mentioned educational qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Architecture/Design/Interior Design or equivalent
  • Professional Diploma in Design
  • BFA
  • GD Art with one year post qualification professional experience
  • Master's degree in Arts/ Science/ Computer Applications

Candidates need to ensure that they complete these educational qualifications latest by July 2016.

CEED 2016 Application Process

Candidates need to fill the application form for CEED 2016 on the official website of the exam. In order to apply for CEED exam, aspirants need to fill a registration form in which they need to mention their full name, email address and mobile number. On submitting these details, a password will be sent on the candidate’s registered mobile number within five minutes and thereafter they will need to use this email ID and password to login and complete their CEED 2016 application process.

The official website informs that candidates need to “use Internet Explorer (version 7 to 11) or Mozilla Firefox (14 to 34) or Google Chrome (20 to 36) to fill the Registration Form”.

At the time of submitting their application form, aspirants need to upload the below mentioned files:

Photograph: Maximum pixel resolution of the photo should be 640×480 (0.3 Mega pixel). Maximum size of the file should be 80 kB. The photo should be coloured and taken against white or very light background.

Signature: Maximum pixel resolution of the signature should be 300 x 800. Only jpg file format will be accepted. The signature should be done on a white paper with black or dark blue ink.

Category Certificate: Birth certificate along with a category certificate issued by the concerned authorities.

Qualifying Year is 2016, before July 2016

Qualifying Year is 2017 or Later

Degree Certificate / Provisional Certificate / Course Completion Certificate

Principal Certificate for CEED 2016
