With the Indian fashion industry set to take greater strides, the future prospects for fashion entrepreneurs are pretty bright with opportunities like launching their own business, going into freelance work and becoming self-employed.
Providing a platform to young aspiring entrepreneurs, International College of Fashion (promoted by the Bajaj Capital Group) offers various courses in fashion entrepreneurship. ICF has collaborated with the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT-D) for designing the customised content on entrepreneurship and National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad for assistance in designing a world-class fashion and design curriculum to offer integrated education in this field.
ICF provides range of courses in fashion entrepreneurship, from MBA, Post Graduation Diploma to BBA. All of that with the flexibility of regular and distant learning. The global market awareness gained during the course period will allow students to work internationally in a large range of fashion, business and creative industry related careers like PR, Marketing, Trend Forecasting, Event Management, Styling, Buyers and Top level executives working in research & development within the design-led industries.
Course provided by ICF are listed below:
- BBA in Fashion Entrepreneurship:
Duration: 3 years Industry Integrated Program
Eligibility: 10+2 in any discipline from a recognized board with at least 45% marks in 12th.
- MBA in Fashion Entrepreneurship:
Duration: 2 years (comprising four semesters)
Eligibility: Graduate in any discipline from a recognised university or an equivalent degree with at least 45% marks in three years. Candidate applying for their final year exams may also apply.
- Post Graduate Diploma in Fashion Entrepreneurship:
Duration: 1 year (10 month classroom + 2 months Internship)
Eligibility: The Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent qualification) obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of 3 years of education after completing Higher Secondary School (10 + 2 or equivalent. Candidate applying for their final year exams may also apply.
