WLCI announces AICET exam for Fashion Design, Advertising, Media & Graphic Design - UG/PG Admissions
WLCI is launching All India Combined Entrance Test 2017 (AICET 2017) to offer admission to aspirants in UG as well as PG courses. The official website of this entrance exam informs that: “Admit Cards, Results and Counseling Schedule will be available on WLCI website only. No separate communication will be sent by post”.
On the basis of a candidate’s score in AICET 2017, he/she can secure admission in Business, Fashion, Graphic Design and Media courses on offer at WLCI Bangalore, WLCI Chennai, WLCI Delhi, WLCI Greater Noida, WLCI Hyderabad, WLCI Kathmandu, WLCI Mumbai, WLCI Pune, WLCI Surat and WLCI Kolkata.

AICET 2017: Eligibility for UG Courses
Aspirants are eligible to apply for admissions in any of the UG courses on offer at WLCI provided they fulfill any one of the below mentioned eligibility criteria:
- Cleared +2 level examinations in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognised Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education / State Board New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi.
- Passed General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri-Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level/ International Baccalaureate (IB).
- Qualified any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in foreign countries which is recognised by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system.
- Possess a pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects.
- Secured a 3 or 4 years diploma, that is, recognised by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education.
AICET 2017: Eligibility for PG Courses
Aspirants are eligible to apply for admissions in any of the PG courses on offer at WLCI provided they fulfill the below mentioned eligibility criteria:
- Possess an undergraduate degree from in any discipline from any college/university recognised in India.
OR
- Possess an advanced Diploma in Fashion Technology /Advertising and Graphic Design /Mass Communication from WLCI.
- Possess a Diploma of atleast 3 yeas duration in Fashion/Advertising & Graphic Design/Media/Mass Communications from any other Institution/College.
Aspirants will also be eligible to apply for AICET 2016 if they are appearing for their qualifying exam provided they are able to produce the necessary documents related to completion of exam/marks at the time of counselling/admissions.
AICET 2017: Exam Pattern
Candidates seeking admission in business, fashion, graphic design as well as media programmes on offer at WLCI need to appear for AICET online entrance exam.
The entrance exam is designed in such a fashion so as to test a candidate’s knowledge, skill-set as well as aptitude for the course in which they have applied for admissions. The written test is divided into two parts wherein aspirants need to appear for CAT (Creative Ability Test) as well as GAT (General Ability Test).
There is no negative marking in AICET 2017.
After clearing the entrance test aspirants also need to appear for an interview round. The weightage given to the interview round is same as that of the written exam.
