UCEED 2016 Exam Pattern
IIT Bombay will be conducting Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design 2016 (UCEED 2016) on January 17, 2016.
On the basis of an aspirant’s score in UCEED Exam, he/she can secure admission in BDes as well as dual degree BDes+MDes course offered by IDC, IIT Bombay. Total number of seats available in both these programmes at IIT Bombay is 30.
Apart from IIT Bombay, IIITDM Jabalpur as well as IIT Guwahati will also be admitting students in BDes programmes offered by them on the basis of their UCEED score.
UCEED will be conducted as a computer based test in two separate sessions on January 17, 2016. The first session will be held from 10 am to 1 pm. Authorities will make every effort to complete the exam in this session itself. However, if there is any technical issue at any of the centres then the test would be conducted in session 2 for only the affected students. Session 2 will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm.
The official website of UCEED 2016 informs: “In case the exam is conducted in Session 2, the 2nd session will have different question paper, but with the same number of questions, same total marks and with similar difficulty levels, which will be moderated for consistency and parity”.

There is negative marking in the exam. For every correct and wrong answer in each of the sections of UCEED, there is a separate marking scheme.
