JEE Main for BTech

Joint Entrance Examination (or JEE Main) is conducted every year by the National Testing Agency (NTA), established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. All colleges affiliated with AKTU use JEE Mais score for admission to various courses. JEE Main exam is conducted in two sessions every year and if a candidate appears in both sessions, then the best score will be considered.

Mode of Examination

This entrance exam (Paper 1 for BTech) is conducted online only in CBT (Computer Based Test) mode.

Q:   How long is the GATE score valid for admission in M.Tech?

A:

The GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) score is valid for three years from the year of release for M.Tech admission purposes. According to the sources, candidates seeking admission to M.Tech programs at IITs, NITs, etc., or a job at top PSUs in India require GATE scores to be eligible for application. Additionally, the GATE score validity for PSU (Public Sector Undertaking) job aspirants is for only a year. Therefore, if candidates have qualified in the GATE 2025 exams, they are eligible for M.Tech admissions for the next three years after releasing the GATE results, but the scores to land a PSU job are valid for only a year. Q:   Who is eligible to apply for AKGEC BTech course?

A:

Candidates willing to get admission to the BTech course must apply online on the official website of Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College. The eligibility criteria for the BTech course is Class 12 with a minimum of 65 percent aggregate and the accepted entranec exams are JEE Main and UPCET BTech. Candidates must prepare well for the JEE Main exam. Candidates can follow the JEE Main  preparation tips, study the JEE Main books properly, and timely fill out the application form.

Q:   How many rounds of seat allotments are there in CCMT?

A:
There are a total of three main rounds of seat allotment in the CCMT. The authority will also conduct two special rounds of CCMT counselling. CCMT is Centralized Counseling for M.Tech/MArch/Plan/MDes. It is a common platform for candidates to apply for M.Tech/MArch/Plan programmes in all National Institutes of Technology (NITs), IIEST Shibpur, eight IIITs, the University of Hyderabad, and many more colleges. GATE: Entrance Exam for MTech

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (or GATE) is an all-India level exam, conducted every year in the month of February for admission into the post-graduation programs like Master of Engineering, Master of Technology, etc. IISc or IIT on behalf of the National Coordination Board – GATE, Government of India, conducts the exam.

Mode of Examination

GATE is conducted in online mode as CBT (Computer Based Test).

The paper consists of multiple-choice questions, numerical data, integer type, and multiple-selection type questions.  

Pattern of Examination

The questions are designed to test the conceptual understanding of candidates. This exam paper contains 100 marks, consisting of 65 questions, including 10 questions from General Aptitude.

Q:   How to get admission in IISC Bangalore?

Indian Institute of Science (IISc) offers courses at the undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) and doctorate Ph.D level to aspirants. Programmes on offer at IISc Bangalore are in streams such as Science, Design, Engineering and Management. Q:   Who is eligible for AKGEC MCA course admission?

A:

Candidates seeking admission to MCA at Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College must have passed their Class 12 with one among Mathematics/ Statistics/ Accountancy as compulsory subjects with at least 45% aggregate (40% for SC/ ST category). For direct admission, there is no minimum aggregate. Candidate should have passed the qualifying exam from a recognised board. The course is affiliated with APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow and admission to it is subject to UPTAC counselling conducted by the affiliating university.

Q:   If a student qualifies for GATE 2024, will he or she be able to get admission to IIT Bombay?

A:
No, a qualifying exam doesn't ensure admission to a particular institute. For admission to a certain institute, candidates have to score above the qualifying cutoff and appear for the counselling and admission process. The GATE cutoff for IIT varies according to the category of the candidates. It is to be noted that admission to IIT is based on factors including the cutoffs of the institute and branch in which admission is desired. Therefore, we can say that there is no minimum GATE score for IIT. The Indian Institutes of Technology Kanpur released the GATE 2023 cutoff for all 29 papers along with the GATE 2023 result. Q:   Who is eligible for M.Tech course admission at AKGEC?

A:

For admission to a MTech programme at AKGEC, it is crucial that the aspirants fulfil the minimum eligibility requirements. Thus, as prescribed by the college, a candidate must hold a valid BE/BTech degree in the relevant discipline of Engineering with more than 60% aggregate. Candidate should have passed the degree programme from a recognised university. UPCET 

UPCET (Uttar Pradesh Combined Entrance Test) formerly known as UPSEE (Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination) is a state-level entrance exam. It is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for admissions in institutions affiliated with Dr APJ Abul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Madan Mohan Malviya University of Technology (MMMUT), and other Government aided institutions. 

Mode of Examination

This entrance exam is conducted online through the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.

Scheme of Examination

The paper consists of objective-type questions comprising MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions) only. In this exam, wrong answers don’t account for negative marking.  

Pattern of Examination

The paper consists of 100 questions with a total of 400 marks, with English as the only language medium. The question paper will consist of four sections as shown below.
