Allahabad University (AU) has announced that it will conduct the year-end exams for all undergraduate courses from July 1 and for all postgraduate courses from July 16. The University will resume admission process for the next academic session (2020-21) from May 10.

Following the guidelines issued by University Grants Commission (UGC), Allahabad University (AU) has announced that it will conduct the year-end exams for all undergraduate courses from July 1 and for all postgraduate courses from July 16.

The Allahabad University Admission 2020 for the next academic session (2020-21) will also resume from May 10.

It has also been decided that viva voce examination of those Ph.D. candidates who have submitted their thesis would be conducted through online mode, informed varsity officials.

During a meeting of the examination committee, it was decided that the exams for UG courses that were interrupted because of the nationwide lockdown from March 24, will now be held from July 1. The examination committee has also decided that the exam would be held every day in three shifts and that too on all the seven days of the week including Sundays. Earlier, AU used to conduct exams in two shifts, morning and post-noon only.

Likewise, for postgraduate courses (semester system), the exams would be conducted from July 16 and the same would be held in two shifts. Earlier, the PG exams were held in just one shift per day and that too on just five days a week.

The varsity authorities said that the examinations will be conducted following the social distancing norms and by making sufficient distance between two examinees. To follow the same, more exam centres would be made. All examinees have also to wear masks compulsorily.

All teachers and non-teaching staff will be given exam duties and no one will be granted any leave, unless its an emergency, the varsity said.

AU authorities will also sanitize all examination centres, as told by UGC. It has been decided the question paper format would remain the same as half of the exams had already been conducted before the lockdown started.
