Interested candidates should begin the application process as soon as possible as the tasks would take about a month to complete. The domain experts in the FOSSEE team will review the finished tasks.

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay is going to conduct Summer Fellowship 2020 as a part of its Free/Libre and Open Source Software for Education (FOSSEE) project under the Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD), Government of India. Students of all streams and degree levels can apply for this fellowship. To register for this fellowship, February 25, 2020 is the last date. To submit the application, March 7, 2020 is the last date.

For the fellowship, along with the application, applicants have to submit a 'screening task' on any two topics out of the topics assigned on the website. The participants have to first make a proposal and submit the tasks only after the acceptance of the proposal for the topics under - "Tasks which require proposal and acceptance". The participants have to directly submit the task without any proposal for the topics mentioned under "Tasks which do not require proposal and acceptance".

Interested candidates should begin the application process as soon as possible as the tasks would take about a month to complete. The domain experts in the FOSSEE team will review the finished tasks. The chosen participants will be called for the fellowship at IIT Bombay after the review.

A participant will be eligible for honorarium and certificate if he/she chooses a task under “Tasks that require submitting a proposal and accepting it" and has been completed by him/her.  The National Mission on Education through ICT, MHRD, Government of India provides funding to the FOSSEE and it works towards the promotion and development of Free/Libre and Open Source Software in education
